The last Help Needed did pretty well and I enjoyed the feedback I got on that (thanks Austin), so I'm going to go in with a new one! This is a team I've held onto for a while, but before that, a preface:
i
LOVE
Leafeon.
I have waited
FOR YEARS
for this mon to be good.
AND FINALLY
its not great but hey its not terrible
I found a Leafeon team from Wolfe Glicke's YouTube, one of his opponents was running it alongside Cherrim, Meowstic and Torkoal. I decided to basically steal that core and added a couple of other shtuff. And for some reason I felt like fanboying so:
I present to you:
Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, THE TEAM!
Kaguya (Leafeon) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Solar Blade
- Dig
- Bite
- Iron Tail
One of the main attackers on this team, you usually use with Dynamax or else its good coverage goes from good to non-existent. Access to ground and steel moves allows it good coverage as well as boosting defenses, and Grass stab that cuts (hah) through the competition. The nice thing here is this: Leafeon is the fastest (viable) Chlorophyll user, with speed outstripping even that of Venusaur. In fact, running 252 without speed boosting nature is still 147 speed, putting it 2 points over max speed timid Venusaur's 145. Max Quake boosting SpDef is also a major plus when trying to live attacks from its Poison stab, which can be quite substantial when boosted by a lil something we can talk about later. I run Bite also to deal with Dragapult and other ghosties, though I'm not too sure if its entirely necessary. Will drop for Detect when convenient.
Also Solar Blade is a meme I'm not actually serious about it BUT the power is... OOOH the power is... its nice... and when it hits... mmmmmm...
also goes without saying same rules as the last time, Leafeon is the one thing on this team that doesn't change, no matter WHAT!
Hayasaka (Torkoal) (F) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Drought
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Eruption
- Earth Power
- Solar Beam
- Protect
Much like how Hayasaka supports Kaguya and other characters in the show, Torkoal brings the sun with it to activate most of the other abilities on this team! Its decent special attack is rendered devastating with Eruption, which cleaves through non-resists with ease. Earth Power and Solar Beam are also good coverage options, and Protect rounds out the set with a way for Torkoal to preserve itself. It also runs well to counter Trick Room mons, Solar Beam slapping Rhyperior silly and all that, though Dusclops wearing it down is an ish (Dusclops can be a bit of a pain for this team). Sitrus Berry is again for the sustainability; Torkoal is wayy important to keep alive its not something I can throw away quite so easily.
Chika (Cherrim) (F) @ Quick Claw
Ability: Flower Gift
Level: 50
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Pollen Puff
- Weather Ball
- Helping Hand
Ah yes now for BEST GIRL IN KAGUY- I mean one of my favourite gimmicks about the team: Flower Gift Cherrim! Flower Gift boosting other Pokemons' Attack and Sp Def (which I always found strangely specific) comes in handy bulking up and increasing the damage of other physical attackers on the team. It plays well with Leafeon, which buffs its lower Sp Def which can help it tank hits, while the boost in attack can snipe kills from unsuspecting players. It runs Pollen Puff and Helping Hand to better support its team, but when the chips are down, it'll use its meagre Sp Atk to deal some decent damage with Giga Drain and Weather Ball.
As for why Quick Claw?... its Chika Fujiwara there has to be SOME level of random chaos to throw into the madness.
Shirogane (Meowstic) (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Prankster
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Fake Out
- Psychic
- Trick Room
- Imprison
Kaichou! Meowstic is a Pokemon I also want to find some use for, though from what I can see... there's some interesting stuff it can do! First off, it's speed inhabits an interesting space: with no investment, neutral nature and perfect IVs, it counts up to 124. This puts it JUST over max speed Incineroar, ensuring YOUR Fake Out always goes first. It gets a couple of other interesting moves, especially good to run on a Prankster set like this, but I opted for Imprison Trick Room to deal with TR better. (thats right lads... IT WAS A SUB-PAR GIMMICK SUNROOM TEAM THE WHOLE TIME!!!) A blazing fast Leafeon is completely gutted if TR goes up, and most of this team is pretty fast so this works out pretty nice. It also means we can set up TR against non-TR teams that goes faster than we do, so theres an additional trick (hah) to using it. Psychic prevents it from getting gimped by Taunt, but other than that, its another cat to pair up with Kaguya, and they do look cute together! Too bad they rarely ever inhabit the same screen together in this game, but maybe in the show... one day...
To be honest Meowstic's position is up in the air. Being a cat and having the ascot aside, I feel like there maybe could be another Pokemon that could better fill the slot.
Ishigami (Dracozolt) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Hustle
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bolt Beak
- Dragon Claw
- High Horsepower
- Rock Slide
Anybody who knows Kaguya-sama S2 knows its true name: Ishigami-sama - Life is War. For that reason, this genderless abomination of a Pokemon with a shiny that looks like it got all the fun and love sucked out of him gets bestowed with that name. However, fear not, for like in the show, Ishigami finds new friends and use fighting alongside the student council! Due to his scarf, he is the fastest member on the team not counting abilities, and his Hustle Bolt Beak SMACKS a lot of tough matchups for this team, mostly Flying types, while Dragon Claw can outspeed and kill max speed Dragapult. He can also dynamax into a big threat of his own, and under TR his middling speed can help him handle higher horsepower harlequins. He also carries said High Horsepower and Rock Slide to deal with other Pokemon that might wall its coverage like Excadrill. He's put in a lot of work for this team, even though he's been down before, he's one of the best team members here!!
Miko Iino (Passimian) (F) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Defiant
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Seed Bomb
- Rock Slide
Now the latest addition to the team, both in the show and here, is Miko Iino as Passimian! Honestly she's just here cuz she had no other Pokemon to take the place of, she was previously a Milotic, but Milotic in the sun didn't play too well. Passimian is here for the same reason Milotic was though; to battle Intimidate Pokemon, ironic enough considering Miko's character and how badly she falls to peer pressure. She packs a wallop with a boosted CC, and Knock Off is a great utility move that also helps as coverage. Rock Slide, because its Rock Slide, and Seed Bomb. I honestly forgot why I put Seed Bomb, but it seems like a cool enough thing to keep on this mon so I didn't really change it. Slapped Assault Vest on it for the shits and giggles, but I think Expert Belt might suit it slightly better.
And thats the team! I hope it was fun to read through and I hope you can also see where I went wrong with it. This team is HELLA FUN (for me anyway) but its also kinda iffy too. Thanks for spending your time to read through all this and I hope to see what improvements I can make with this team going forward!

Thanks again!
