[OVERVIEW]

Leafeon's good Speed tier allows it to outspeed key threats such as Klinklang, Lilligant, Magmortar, Mesprit, Zangoose, Rotom, and Sawk. Leafeon also has access to a great boosting move in Swords Dance, which complements its excellent Attack stat. Moreover, Leafeon is one of the few physical sweepers in the tier that can beat the ever-so-popular defensive threat Quagsire. Leafeon also has great natural physical bulk, which is not very common for an offensive Pokemon, allowing it to set up with relative ease. Leafeon also learns Natural Gift, which gives it a strong physical move of any type when it is holding a particular Berry. Leafeon is a versatile Pokemon, as it is able to play as an offensive or defensive role. What sets Leafeon apart from common bulky Grass-types such as Vileplume is that it resists Ground-type attacks and thus can handle pertinent threats such as Double Dance Rhydon better. Sadly, Leafeon's typing leaves it weak to predominant Fire-, Ice-, Poison-, and Flying-types in the tier such as Pyroar, Sneasel, Garbodor, and Fletchinder. Furthermore, Leafeon's poor special bulk prevents it from making good use of its resistances to Water- and Electric-type moves, which are commonly special attacks. Due to Leafeon's limited coverage, it is left walled by many threats in NU.

Moves
========

Swords Dance is used to increase Leafeon's Attack by two stages. Leaf Blade is a powerful STAB move and has an added benefit of having a high critical hit ratio. Knock Off provides good neutral coverage with Leaf Blade as well as having the ability to remove the foe's item, and it allows Leafeon to hit Psychic- and Ghost-types such as Musharna, Xatu, Gourgeist, and Haunter harder. Natural Gift allows Leafeon to essentially add any type move to its moveset and lure out its usual checks and counters and heavily damage them. For example, Watmel Berry gives a Fire-type Natural Gift, which allows Leafeon to hit Grass-, Steel-, and Bug-types such as Ferroseed, Klinklang, and Scyther for super effective damage. Apicot Berry can be used for a 100 Base Power Ground-type attack, which allows Leafeon to hit Poison-, Fire-, and Steel-types such as Garbodor, Ninetales, and Mawile all in one moveslot, though it loses coverage on Grass- and Flying-types and can be consumed unintentionally. Synthesis can be used over Natural Gift to give Leafeon increased longevity as well as heal off Life Orb's recoil, and it can also stall out recoil from Kangaskhan's Double-Edge. It can also make better use of Leafeon's physical bulk and check physical attackers.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed investment and a Jolly nature are used to outspeed any Pokemon below the base 95 Speed benchmark such as Lilligant and Sawk and also Speedtie with opposing base 95 Speed Pokemon such as Jynx and Uxie. Maximum Attack investment is used for as much damage output as possible. Chlorophyll is used in case Leafeon faces sun teams, and it is Leafeon's most useful ability. Watmel Berry will give Leafeon a Fire-type Natural Gift. Apicot Berry can be used for a 100 Base Power Ground-type attack, which allows Leafeon to hit Poison-, Fire-, and Steel-types such as Garbodor, Ninetales, and Mawile all in one moveslot, though it loses coverage on Grass- and Flying-types. Life Orb is another option over Watmel Berry for more damage output and should only be used with Synthesis. Starf Berry can also be used for a 100 Base Power Psychic-type attack but can be consumed unintentionally. Overall, Watmel Berry is the best Berry for Natural Gift, as it provides a consistent 100 Base Power move and is inactive, unlike the other 100 Base Power Berries Starf Berry and Apicot Berry. Lastly, Lum Berry is a viable option over the other items as a means of protection against status ailments.

Usage Tips
========

It is encouraged for players to only attempt to sweep with Leafeon once its checks and counters such as Vileplume and Fletchinder are weakened or KOed. If Leafeon does not use Watmel Berry, Poison-types such as Weezing would stop it. If Leafeon does not use a Starf Berry, Steel-types such as Magneton and Klinklang would wall it. If Leafeon does not use Apicot Berry, Fire-types such as Ninetales would stop it. Try to set up on the predicted switch or on passive Pokemon such as Quagsire and Prinplup, which cannot deal much damage to Leafeon, though a burn from Scald from those two is detrimental for Leafeon. Also, watch out for powerful Fire- and Flying-types; Ninetales and Archeops can come in and revenge kill Leafeon at any point. Your team should have checks to Fire- and Flying-types, such as Regirock. Leafeon should watch out when switching into special Water-types, as most of them carry coverage moves that can heavily damage Leafeon, such as Ice Beam from Samurott. Natural Gift can throw your opponent off-guard, as they do not know what Berry Leafeon is holding, and it can pick up a surprise KO for you, so take full advantage of that. Watmel Berry will give Leafeon a 100 Base Power physical Fire-type move that will allow Leafeon to hit Pokemon such as opposing Leafeon, Ferroseed, Vileplume, Lilligant, and Cacturne for super effective damage. After a Swords Dance, Watmel Berry Natural Gift will OHKO Vileplume after Stealth Rock damage, OHKO Ferroseed, and straight up KO Lilligant and Cacturne, even with no boost at all. Starf Berry is also viable with Natural Gift, as it gives Leafeon a Psychic-type attack, allowing Leafeon to hit Pokemon such as Vileplume, Garbador, and Weezing for super effective damage. Starf Berry is unreliable, however, because, if Leafeon takes enough damage, its Berry will be used up and it will lose its ability to hit Poison-types. Apicot Berry will give Leafeon a consistent Ground-type attack that allows it to hit Poison-, Fire-, and Steel-types such as Garbodor, Ninetales, and Mawile all in one moveslot. Unfortunately, Natural Gift can only be used one time, so it has to be used with caution and therefore needs to count.

Team Options
========

Leafeon works great with entry hazard support from Garbodor and Regirock. Any added damage from Spikes and Stealth Rock to Leafeon's switch-ins can help it take things down quicker. Common switch-ins such as Ferroseed and Vileplume won't appreciate a Knock Off or entry hazard damage. Rhydon makes for a good partner, as it can handle Flying- and Fire-types such as Scyther and Fletchinder for Leafeon, and Leafeon can handle Water-types such as Quagsire for Rhydon. Carracosta is also a great partner because, in addition to handling Flying- and Fire-types, it can also handle Ice-types such as Sneasel while Leafeon resists Electric-, Grass-, and Ground-type attacks for Carracosta in return. Defensive variants can easily handle threats to Leafeon, while Shell Smash variants provide another win condition and appreciate Leafeon's ability to beat Quagsire. Pokemon that can greatly benefit from Leafeon's ability to lure in their checks and KO them with a Natural Gift are also good partners. If Watmel Berry is being used, Swords Dance Mawile appreciates Leafeon's ability to eliminate Ferroseed. If Starf Berry is being used, Fighting-types such as Gurdurr and Sawk appreciate Leafeon's ability to weaken or KO Poison-types such as Garbodor and Weezing. If Apicot Berry is being used, Pokemon that can handle Grass- and Flying-types, such as Rotom-S and Kabutops, make for good partners.

Moves
========

Wish is a great way to remain healthy and keep your team up on its feet. It will give Leafeon back 50% of its health the turn after it's used. Synthesis allows Leafeon to heal itself more efficiently if it does not want the opponent to take advantage of free turns. The access to immediate recovery can also be helpful if Leafeon is low on health and needs to survive that turn. Protect is used to safely get a Wish off for Leafeon as well as to scout for what move Choice item users lock themselves into, and it is also used to stall for extra recovery. Leaf Blade is Leafeon's best STAB move, as it has no drawbacks and has a high Base Power. Leafeon's naturally good Attack stat will allow it to dish out good damage with no investment. Heal Bell is a fantastic utility move for not only Leafeon but the entire team. If another wall tries to wear Leafeon down with burn or Toxic damage, Leafeon can easily heal itself with Heal Bell. This will also keep Pokemon on your team free from status. Roar can be used to phaze setup sweepers that try to set up on Leafeon, such as Klinklang, Vivillon, and Scyther. Baton Pass is an option that will help spread Wishes safely to the rest of your team. Should your opponent switch in to something that would threaten the intended Wish receiver, you could simply Baton Pass into something else without having to predict whether the foe will stay in or get switched out.

Set Details
========

Maximum HP investment is used for as much bulk as possible as well as passing a lot of health to teammates with Wish. 56 Speed EVs ensure that Leafeon outspeeds neutral-natured base 70 Speed Pokemon such as Samurott and Ludicolo. The rest of the EVs are put into Defense to maximize Leafeon's physical bulk. A spread of 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 Spe is another option, which allows Leafeon to outspeed maximum Speed neutral-natured Kabutops. Finally, a spread of 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 Spe allows Leafeon to outspeed Adamant maximum Speed Sawk, though it loses out on a lot of physical bulk. Leftovers provides a form of passive recovery and, coupled with the health that Leafeon will be receiving from Wish + Protect, will keep Leafeon alive and well.

Usage Tips
========

This set works well on stall and balanced teams that appreciate having cleric support and a bulky pivot. Pokemon that do not take being burned or paralyzed kindly can be used more effectively on a team with defensive Leafeon, as you always have the option of using Heal Bell, and giving health back to Leafeon's teammates with Wish and Baton Pass. When Leafeon is not using Wish or Heal Bell, it can be a good pivot. Baton Pass will allow Leafeon to keep some momentum. Leafeon is able to switch in to many walls safely. Sandslash and Rhydon are all common Pokemon that Leafeon can switch into, set up on with Wish, and threaten out with its powerful Grass-type STAB move.

Team Options
========

Archeops is a good Pokemon to pair with defensive Leafeon because it handles Fire- and Flying-types such as Pyroar and Swellow well. Wish passing into Archeops to keep it healthy is also great. If Leafeon runs Roar, entry hazard support from Carracosta, Rhydon, and Garbodor can benefit it greatly, as it can rack up entry hazard damage on opposing teams. These Pokemon are also great partners in general, as they appreciate the Wish and Heal Bell support that Leafeon provides for them, as they have no forms of reliable recovery. Fire-type foes are something to consider when building a team with Leafeon. Pyroar and Ninetales usually switch in to revenge kill Leafeon, so it's good to have partners such as Assault Vest Hariyama and Assault Vest Magmortar to deal with them. Hariyama is a great teammate in particular, as Leafeon can provide Heal Bell support for it if it gets burned by the Fire-types. Stunfisk is another good teammate that can handle threats such as Fletchinder and provide Stealth Rock support. Mantine is also a good partner, as it can deal with special attackers that Leafeon has trouble with such as Ninetales and Pyroar, and Leafeon can provide Wish support for it. It can also provide Defog support to clear the field of entry hazards, which can interfere Leafeon's clerical duties.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Knock Off is an option on the defensive set for utility, especially getting rid of Pokemon that carry Eviolite such as Prinplup, Ferroseed, and Scyther. Yawn is also an option for a good utility move that can force switches. Lastly, a dedicated Baton Pass set with Substitute, Swords Dance, and Leaf Blade is another option to allow Leafeon to support its teammates. A set with Substitute and Swords Dance with two attacks is also a viable option.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Poison-types**: Poison-types such as Vileplume, Garbodor, and Weezing resist Leafeon's STAB move, can take a Knock Off, and can retaliate with their respective Poison-type STAB moves, though they have to be careful of a potential Starf Berry Natural Gift. Defensive variants of Leafeon are hopeless against these Poison-types.

**Flying-types**: Flying-types such as Fletchinder, Archeops, Swellow, Scyther, and Choice Scarf Rotom-S can outspeed Leafeon and threaten to KO it with their Flying-type STAB moves, though the latter two do not appreciate taking a Knock Off and losing their item. Fletchinder, in particular, deserves a special mention for being one of the hardest checks to Leafeon, as it can switch into any of Leafeon's attacks and retaliate with an Acrobatics.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Magmortar, Pyroar, and Ninetales can switch into to a Leaf Blade from Leafeon and KO it with their Fire-type STAB moves, though they have to be careful of an Apicot Berry Natural Gift. Magmortar is a shaky check because Leafeon outspeeds it. The latter two can outspeed it and OHKO it.

**Ice-types**: Ice-types such as Sneasel do not appreciate taking a Leaf Blade but can outspeed and damage Leafeon easily with their Ice-type STAB moves. Cryogonal can also outspeed Leafeon and easily OHKO it with Freeze-Dry. Jynx can also easily OHKO Leafeon but has to risk a Speed tie. Choice Scarf Aurorus can also easily revenge kill Leafeon.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types such as Mawile, Klinklang, and Pawniard can set up on defensive Leafeon and beat offensive Leafeon 1v1 unless it carries a Watmel Berry or Apicot Berry Natural Gift.

Alright, so since I had looked at this initially I'll give it another run through.

Overview
+Great natural physical bulk
Specify that it has solid bulk for an offensive Pokemon, which is noteworthy.
On that note, add to the overview how it can play an offensive or defensive role on a team.
-Weak to predominant fire and flying types in the tier
Give examples here, like one or two for each. Also add in the beginning of the sentence "its typing leaves it..."

The formatting for both sets is a bit off, while this isnt the most important thing it bothers me a bit. Do this for both sets. Here is the correct format for sets:

In terms of the set itself, I wouldn't mind at all if Natural Gift was slashed first since Synthesis seems to have less practical use compared to it, and being able to lure in something for a teammate can be game changing. Comments in bold below.

Moves
  • Leaf blade is it's strongest physical stab move with the added benefit of a 12.5 chance to crit - pointless, remove this
  • Natural gift is an amazing move for Leafeon to carry. Natural gift allows you to take a berry, and essentially add any type move to your moveset. - yes this is true, but its really only necessary to list what attack types that natural gift turns into with the two berries on the set. we all know what natural gift does, you can just look at serebii or w/e. The important thing is to note why the move is important or beneficial to the pokemon, as in this case it lures in and severely damages leafeon's typical switch ins. specify what pokemon natural gift targets, ie steels and bulky grasses with watmel berry and bulky poisons with starf berry.
Set Details
  • Max speed to outpace any mon below base 95. and tie with opposing base 95 pokemon, there are a solid amount of them (uxie, primeape, jynx, evire)
Usage tips seems alright, but I want to pick at team options a lot.
  • Pokemon to check and or counter powerful flying and ice types should be considered as well. such as? which flying and ice types threaten leafeon? which pokemon are good teammates to handle them?
Something that needs to be heavily addressed in team options are Pokemon that benefit from Leafeon luring in their checks with a strong Natural Gift. If Watmel is used, examples of pokemon that likes bulky grasses and steels gone include but are not limited to: swords dance mawile (mainly likes ferroseed gone which allows it to free up a moveslot in place of fire fang and forms a solid wallbreaking core despite stacking a fire weakness), gurdurr despite stacking a flying weakness (loves vileplume whopped by a natural gift), and shell smash carracosta (likes ferroseed lured in). If starf berry is chosen, pokemon that like garbodor or weezing lured in such as gurdurr, sawk, golurk, kangaskhan (can act as a soft check to fires with av), mega audino, and maybe klinklang.

Defensive
Idk where it should be exactly, maybe slashed after baton pass, but Protect is a solid choice on wish leafeon to gain back its wish and scout for choice locked attackers. At the very least a moves mention.

Set Details
  • 88 speed EVs is another option which allows you to outspeed max speed neutral nature seismitoad - you forgot to add what mon the spread outspeeds. also when you write this up when you describe each of the spreads in set details make sure to list the entire Ev spread like "a spread of 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spe can be used to...."
Usage Tips
  • Defensive Leafeon is a very difficult mon to use. Given the predominant offensive types in NU, you may have a hard time fitting it on a team and walling enough things to be used successfully. this seems really odd and doesnt really give any useful information, remove it
  • Appropriate checks to fire, ice, and flying should be carried on a team with Leafeon as you will find it hard to pass wishes with these specific types threatening you at all times. this belongs in team options

I just copied from the old thread so i have not really done much to it so i'll change it to WIP form first and implement all your comments

I would never use Wish Leafeon without protect. Wish / Protect / Leaf Blade then last slot with Heal Bell / Roar would what I would like to see. Maybe Baton Pass can get slashed on last slot or go to moves, but that's what I'd like to see. Heal Bell is great support for Assault Vest Hariyama, a pretty good teammate, and is a rare commodity. Roar pairs better with bulky Spikes support like Garbodor. It's usable but you're not getting Heal Bell elsewhere unless Lanturn.

Archeops is a good mon to pair with defensive Leafeon because it resists two of the main types that threaten out your mon. Wish passing into Archeops to keep it healthy is great as it allows your Archeops to carry another coverage move and not be forced to run roost.

I honestly think that Roost on Archeops is a perfectly good move on its own and carrying 4 attacks has minimal upside, I don't really think it's the best to just switch in. I guess you can not run roost but you're saying like running roost on Archeops is a bad thing.Having to rely on a teammate to get yourself out of defeatist can be really bad, and if you're 4 attacks you have no bulk so you're gonna take as much damage switching in as you're gonna take from attacks, and worst of all if you're already in defeatist there's no way you're getting that wish back.

Move the 4 HP EVs to Defense.
Remove Tamato berry completely since it does nothing useful and is inferior to Starf Berry because Starf Berry can raise a stat in a pinch and it has a higher Natural Gift base power.
  • Synthesis allows you to recover 50%. This can give you increased longevity as well as negate the side effects of Life Orb.
You're not really negating the effects of LO recoil, you're just healing it off. Add that its nice to stall out the recoil from Kangaskhan's Double Edge which can be useful.
In set details, list watmel and starf berry before LO since they're slashed nat gift / life orb.

Make sure the second sets's two names match, and rename it to "Defensive" since Baton Pass isnt a main slash anymore and it's more concise.
Not really sure where this would be put, but note somewhere that Leafeon's advantage over Vileplume is that it resists ground type attacks as such can handle dual dance rhydon (a massive threat to slower teams) while Vileplume is OHKOed by +2 EQ after some slight prior damage.
  • Roar is used to phase set-up sweepers that try to set up on Leafeon
Add examples of a few setup sweepers here, like klinklang, vivillon, scyther, mawile, etc
Leafeon cant do much back to them but if you pair it with hazard support roar can be quite handy.
Add entry hazard users to team options of this set such as rhydon, regirock, seismitoad, and garbodor, especially if roar is chosen. They're also really good teammates since they have no reliable recovery and as such greatly appreciate Wish / heal bell support.

There's still some things here and that that can be tweaked, but you've done enough for the first check. After the above is done,
QC 1/3

Might do a full check later but idt Tamato Berry should be removed, it's nice to not let your Berry get randomly used up when you don't want it to

I've implemented all your comments except the one about removing Tamato Berry

not qc but i think that the whole c&c section could see some improvement. Making a section about "Offensive type advantage" is probably the way to go since a lot of Pokemon cannot directly switch into Leafeon but once in they win pretty easily 1v1.
For example Pokemon such as Archeops and Rotom-S just like Sneasel, Pyroar, Swellow, or Ninetales (+ niche stuff like Simipour or Swanna), hate switching into Life Orb Leaf Blade or Knock Off to the point they risk being Knocked out after entry hazards but are all able to take out Leafeon pretty easily.

Pretty much you should have

Poison types - Garbodor, Weezing, Vileplume who can set up hazards or counterattack Leafeon but with reserves about Natural Gift (you should mention they eat the second set alive)
Offensive type advantage - which is basically those i mentioned
Revenge Killers which are pretty much any specially offensive faster Pokemon who can pick leafeon off after a couple of LO hits, this could be merged with above
Steel types - Mawile, Klinklang, Pawniard to a lesser extent who win 1v1 against SD and set up for free on the defensive set, lower placement because they dont hit as hard back

I would also put in usage tips or whatever that special water-types are risky to switch into because they /might/ or they do carry Sludge wave or Ice Beam which if invested tends to blow away Leafeon

[OVERVIEW]

+Good speed tier (Outspeeds Klinklang, Lilligant, Magmortar, Mesprit, Zangoose, Rotom, Sawk)
+Access to attack boost via swords dance
+Strong Physical moves of any type with Natural Gift
+Great natural physical bulk for an offensive pokemon
+Can play as an offensive or defensive role on a team that has an advantage over common bulky grass-users such as Vileplume as it resists Ground Type attacks and thus, can handle dual dance Rhyperior better.
-Its typing leaves it weak to predominant fire and flying types in the tier such as Pyroar and Archeops
-Easily walled without appropriate coverage
-Shallow movepool.
- You could probably mention Leafeon's strong Attack stat as well
- One important detail that needs to be mentioned here is that Leafeon is one of the few physical setup sweepers to have zero issues with Quagsire
- Since Natural Gift is not exactly an exclusive move, you'll need to emphasize why it is particularly noteworthy on Leafeon. Emphasize that Leafeon's strong offensive stats combined with its boosting move lets it make the most out of this one-time attack
- First off it's dual Dance Rhydon. Other than the Ground-type resist, note that Leafeon's high speed for a bulky Pokemon can allow it to respond to certain Pokemon better, such as Golurk, Samurott, and Kabutops
- You can add more mentions than just Pyroar and Archeops; you can include other mons that prey on Leafeon's weaknesses, such as Sneasel, Scyther, and Fletchinder, or bulky Poison-types such as Garbodor and Weezing
- Note that Leafeon's poor special bulk can prevent it from making as good use of its Water and Electric resists, hampering its defensive utility
- Leafeon's movepool isn't really poor, it's just that it has limited coverage.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • Swords dance increases Leafeon's attack by two stages. Can be used upon switch predictions or Pokemon who can not touch you.
  • Leaf blade is it's strongest physical stab move
  • Knock off is Knock off. The ability to remove an item as well as be a 97.5 base power move when first used and hits Psychic-types and ghost-types such as Musharna and Haunter harder.
  • Natural gift is an amazing move for Leafeon to carry. Natural gift allows you to take a berry, and essentially add any type move to your moveset and lure out its usual checks and counters and heavily damage them. For example, Watmel Berry allows Leafeon to hit Steel-types such as Ferroseed and Klingklang
  • Synthesis allows you to recover 50%. This can give you increased longevity as well as heal off Life Orb's recoil and it can also stall out recoil from Kangaskhan's Double Edge.
- Swords Dance: Pokemon such as?
- You can make a small mention that Leaf Blade easily dispatches of Quagsire
- Touch upon Knock Off's good neutral coverage with Leaf Blade, which combined with its item removal effect is what makes it the primary secondary attack. You can add Xatu and Gourgeist as targets here.
- You never mentioned what type of Natural Gift Watmel Berry provides (which is Fire), which allows Leafeon to nail Grass-types and Bug-types (such as?) as well. Klinklang is misspelled, add Mawile and Magneton. Of course, you'll need to touch upon Natural Gift's primary drawback, which is its one-time use, meaning this attack needs to be used with caution, and when it is used it needs to count.
- Readers know Synthesis heals by 50%, you don't have to spell it out for them; elaborate how and why Leafeon can make use of this move. Synthesis also allows Leafeon to make better use of its physical bulk to check physical attackers, such as Kabutops, Kangaskhan, and Mesprit.

Set Details
========
  • Max speed to outpace any mon below base 95 and speedtie with opposing base 95 pokemon such as Jynx and Uxie.
  • Max attack for best damage output.
  • Chlorophyll for the occasional sun team. It is the most useful of its two useless abilities
  • Watmel berry will give you a fire type natural gift. Tamato and Starf will give you a psychic attack which can also be used effectively. These can be used to effectively hit checks to Leafeon.
  • Life Orb is used for more damage output.
  • If natural gift is not used lum berry can be added for protection against toxic, burn or paralysis.
- Elaborate on the differences between Tamato and Starf Berry. Tamato Berry provides a consistently strong 90 BP Psychic attack; Starf Berry provides a 100 BP Psychic attack but can be consumed unintentionally (I'll leave you to explain when Leafeon eats the berry and what the berry does). Also note what these berries let Leafeon hit (aka Poison-types, most notably hitting Weezing and Vileplume at once). That said I'll be honest, Tamato Berry doesn't seem very worthwhile as it misses out on secure KOes after +2 on Weezing (after Knock Off), Vileplume, and defensive Garbodor, and since Natural Gift can only be used once you better make that attack count. Starf Berry more easily achieves the KOes, and in the event Leafeon doesn't pull off the Gift, Leafeon can even try consuming the Berry to get a lucky boost. I'd remove Tamato Berry here.
- Apicot Berry can see a mention here to provide a 100 BP Ground Natural Gifts respectively (with the same criteria as Tamato and Starf). Ground Natural Gift is useful for smacking Garbodor, Fire-types, and Steel-types in one fell swoop, at the cost of exposing Leafeon to Grass-types and Flying-types.
- With all that said, mention that Watmel Berry is the most consistent berry for Natural Gift as it provides good power and is inactive (unlike the other 100 BP Berries in Starf and Apicot).

Usage Tips
========

  • It is encouraged for players to only attempt to sweep with Leafeon once its checks and counters are weakened or knocked out or otherwise it would be forced to switch out and all the boosts would be thrown in the water
  • Watch out for powerful fire and flying types. Typhlosion and Archeops are two of the top threats in the tier that can come in and revenge kill at any point.Your team should have checks to these types.
  • Also watch out switching into special water-types as most of them carry coverage moves such as Ice Beam from Samurott that can heavily damage Leafeon
  • Natural gift, while uncommon, can throw your opponent off guard and pick up a surprise kill for you. Watmel berry will give you a base 80 fire type physical movethat will allow you to hit things like Leafeon, Ferroseed, Vileplume, Lilligant, and Cacturne. After a swords dance watmel berry natural gift will OHKO Vileplume after rocks, OHKO ferroseed and sraight up kill Lilligant or Cacturne with no boost at all. Tamato berry / Starf berry are also viable with natural gift. They will give you a psychic type attack. Tamato berry will allow you to hit things like Vileplume, Garbador, and Weezing. It will deal less damage than its counterpart but it should be noted that Tamato berry has no secondary effects. Starf berry is unreliable because if you take enough damage your berry will be used up and you lose your ability to hit poison types.
- Remove Typhlosion mention.
- Specify Pokemon that can stop a Leafeon sweep (faster special attackers, mostly), as well as Pokemon that would stop Leafeon's sweep if it carries the wrong Natural Gift.
- Touch upon Natural Gift's single-use nature, meaning that timing it correctly against the right target is crucial for the move's success.
- Watmel is 100 BP, not 80 :/
- Tamato isn't very worth it for a consistent 90 BP Psychic attack when it can only be used once anyway, as opposed to the notably more rewarding 100 BP Starf, so yeah remove it like the Set Details section. Obviously stress that Leafeon should just avoid taking too much damage to make Starf Natural Gift work.
- You can include Apicot Berry here. You can even go into further detail, such as mentioning that Watmel Natural Gift is more useful after +2, while Apicot Natural Gift still has uses when unboosted, such as OHKOing Eviolite Magneton and Magmortar.

Team Options
========
  • Works great with hazard support from Garbodor and Regirock. Any added damage from spikes and stealth rocks to the switches Leafeon can force only help it take things down quicker. Common switch ins like Ferroseed and Vileplume won't appreciate a knock off as well as hazards
  • Rhydon makes for a good Leafeon partner as it can handle flying-types such as Scyther for Leafeon while Leafeon can handle Water-types such as Quagsire for Rhydon.
  • Pokemon that can greatly benefit from Leafeon's ability to lure in their checks with a Natural Gift are also good partners. If Watmel Berry is used, Swords Dance Mawile appreciates Leafeon's ability to eliminate Ferroseed. If Starf Berry is used, Fighting-Types such as Gurdurr and Sawk appreciates Leafeon's ability to weaken or knock out Poison-Types such as Garbodor and Weezing.
- Rhydon is also useful against Fire-types js
- Carracosta can be mentioned as well, especially with its Ice resistance letting it combat Sneasel better in addition to the Fire- and Flying-types, while Leafeon can resist Grass, Electric, and especially Ground moves for it in return; defensive Costa can more easily handle threats to Leafeon, while Shell Smash Costa provides an alternative win condition and appreciates Leafeon rendering opposing Quagsires a liability
- Apicot can be mentioned as well, and of course include mons that handle Grass- and Flying-types.

Moves
========
  • Wish is a great way to remain healthy and keep your team on its feet. Wish will give you back 50% of your hp upon receiving it, and in most instances, pass even more to the rest of your team.
  • Protect is used to safely get a wish off for Leafeon as well as to scout for what choice-locked pokemon lock their moves into
  • Leaf blade is your best stab move to carry. Leafeon's natural attack stat will allow you to dish out good damage with no investment.
  • Heal bell is a fantastic utility move for not only Leafeon, but the entire team itself. If another wall tries to wear you down with burn or toxic damage you can easily heal yourself. This will also keep mons on your team free from status.
  • Roar is used to phase set-up sweepers that try to set up on Leafeon such as Klingklang, Vivillon and Scyther.
  • Baton pass will help spread wishes safely to the rest of your team. Should your opponent switch in to something that would threaten the intended wish receiver you could simply pass in to something else with out having to predict them to stay in or switch.
- Protect on Leafeon is mostly to stall for extra recovery alongside Wish and Leftovers (giving Leafeon an effective 62% recovery rate); Leafeon doesn't actually need Protect to heal itself via Wish, as another move does that just fine...
- Synthesis can actually be slashed after Protect, and is the other way to let Leafeon access its own Wish safely. Synthesis allows Leafeon to heal itself more efficiently if it can't afford to give opponents free turns, and makes itself harder to take advantage of as a result. Access to immediate recovery is also very helpful if Leafeon has low health and needs to be able to survive the turn.

Set Details
========
  • Max Hp and enough in defense for as much bulk as possible. Max hp will allow you to pass more plentiful wishes to other team members.
  • 56 Speed EVs ensures thats Leafeon outspeeds neutral natured base 70 pokemon such as Samurott and Ludicolo
  • A spread of 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spe is another option which allows you to outspeed max speed neutral nature Seismitoad.
  • A spread of 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 Spe is also another viable option that allows Leafeon to outspeed Adamant max speed Sawk, though losing out on a lot of physical bulk
  • Leftovers provide an extra 6% Hp recovery per turn. This coupled with the Hp you will be receiving from wishes will keep you Leafeon alive and well.
- It is simpler to simply mention the Speed EVs necessary to outrun a certain threat(s), then dumping the remaining EVs into bulk. By the way, since Seismitoad left, the 88 Speed spread is now outdated. It can instead be replaced for a 136 Speed spread to outpace Kabutops.
- Again, you don't need to say Leftovers replenishes 6% per turn; just mention this gives Leafeon extended longevity, especially when combined with Wish + Protect.

Usage Tips
========
  • This set works well on stall or balanced teams that appreciates having a cleric and a bulky pivot.
  • Pokemon that don't take kindly to being burned and paralyzed can be used more effectively on a team with defensive leafeon as you always have the option of heal belling and wish passing back to those mons.
  • When not wishing and heal belling, Leafeon can be a good pivot between mons. Baton pass will allow you to keep some momentum and play as fluidly as you like.
  • Leafeon switches in to many walls safely. Seismitoad, Sandslash and Rhydon are all common pokemons that Leafeon can switch into, set up a wish on, and threaten out with its powerful grass stab.
- Seismitoad mention :/.

Team Options
========
  • Archeops is a good mon to pair with defensive Leafeon because it resists two of the main types that threaten out your mon. Wish passing into Archeops to keep it healthy is great.
  • If roar is used on Leafeon, Hazard support from Carracosta, Rhydon and Garbodor can benefit it greatly as it can rack up hazard damage on opposing teams. These pokemon are also great partners in general as they appreciate the wish and heal bell support that Leafeon provides for them as they have no reliable recovery.
  • Fire types are something to consider when building a team with Leafeon. Things like Assault Vest Hariyama, Assault Vest Magmortar to handle Scarfed Magmortar that come in to revenge kill. Pyroar is something to be aware of as well, and you will find that Hariyama is the only aforementioned Pokemon with the ability to switch into Specs Pyroar safely. Hariyama is a great teammate in particular as Leafeon can provide Heal Bell support for it if it gets burned from the aftermentioned Fire-type pokemon
  • Mantine is also a good partner as it can deal with special attackers that Leafeon has trouble dealing with such as Ninetales and Pyroar while Leafeon can provide wish support for it.
- What specific threats to Leafeon would Archeops be able to respond against?
- If you're going to mention Leafeon's Heal Bell curing Hariyama of burns against Fire-types, you could do the same for the bulky hazard setters in the case of Fletchinder. Stunfisk is also another teammate that can be mentioned as a bulky SR setter in the hazard support section.
- Mantine's access to Defog can also allow it to clear the field of hazards, which can otherwise interfere with Leafeon's clerical duties.

Checks & Counters
===================

**Poison-Types**: Poison-types such as Vileplume, Garbodor, and Weezing resist Leafeon's STAB move and can take a knock off and can retaliate it with their respective Poison STAB moves though they have to be careful with a potential Starf Berry Natural Gift. Defensive variants of Leafeon are hopeless against these Poison-types.

**Offensive Type Advantage**: Fire-Types such as Magmortar, Pyroar and Ninetales can switch into to a Leaf Blade from Leafeon and KO it with their Fire STAB moves though they have to be careful of a Knock Off from it. Flying-types such as Fletchinder, Archeops, Swellow, Scyther, and Choice Scarf Rotom-S can outspeed Leafeon and threaten it with their Flying STAB to KO it, though the latter two do not appreciate taking a Knock Off and losing their item. Ice-types such as Sneasel do not appreciate taking a Leaf Blade but can outspeed and damage Leafeon easily with its Ice-STAB move.

**Steel-Types**: Steel-Types such as Mawile, Klingklang and Pawniard can set up on defensive variants of Leafeon and beat the offensive sets of Leafeon 1 on 1 unless it carries a Watmel Berry Natural Gift.
- Offensive Type advantage is far too broad; it's not like these threats respond to Leafeon in the same way (namely Ice-types). You should just separate these sections into the individual types.
- Flying-types: Fletchinder is considered one of the hardest checks to Leafeon, being able to switch into any attack and retaliate with Acrobatics. Offensive Flying-types, such as Swellow, Scyther, Archeops, can also respond to Leafeon with quick KOes, while bulky Flying-types such as Togetic and Rotom-S can tank hits from Leafeon and return fire with status or simply super effective attacks in Flamethrower or Air Slash.
- Fire-types: Pyroar and Ninetales are the standout threats against Leafeon due to their ability to outspeed and OHKO it. Magmortar is considered a shakier check since it does not like taking +2 hits or even an Apicot Natural Gift from Leafeon.
- Ice-types: Cryogonal outspeeds Leafeon and easily OHKOes it with Freeze-Dry. Sneasel also outspeeds but cannot switch in, and may have issues KOing a healthy Leafeon. Jynx easily OHKOes but risks a speedtie. Aurorus can revenge Leafeon if it is equipped with a Choice Scarf.
- Steel-types: Add Ferroseed and Magneton in this section. Klinklang misspelled. Apicot Natural Gift can also be be brought up here.

- Apicot Berry can see a mention here to provide a 100 BP Ground Natural Gifts respectively (with the same criteria as Tamato and Starf). Ground Natural Gift is useful for smacking Garbodor, Fire-types, and Steel-types in one fell swoop, at the cost of exposing Leafeon to Grass-types and Flying-types.

done finally

-Easily walled without appropriate coverage
-Has limited coverage
Redundant, you could just say that it is easily walled due to its limited coverage.

  • 56 Speed EVs ensures thats Leafeon outspeeds neutral natured base 70 pokemon such as Samurott and Ludicolo
  • A spread of 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 Spe is another option which allows you to outspeed max speed neutral natured Kabutops
  • A spread of 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 Spe is also another viable option that allows Leafeon to outspeed Adamant max speed Sawk, though losing out on a lot of physical bulk
I told you not to do this. Just follow the format of your first sentence, specifying how much Speed EVs outruns what, then say the remaining EVs are placed into Defense.

**Fire-Types**: Fire-Types such as Magmortar, Pyroar and Ninetales can switch into to a Leaf Blade from Leafeon and KO it with their Fire STAB moves though they have to be careful of a Knock Off from it though they have to be careful of an Apicot Berry Natural Gift. Magmortar is a shaky check as Leafeon outspeeds it. The latter two can outspeed it and OHKO it.
Hello?

Make these changes and QC 2/3

One more change: I now think Synthesis should be slashed before Protect. The immediate recovery of Synthesis, which also prevents opponents from taking advantage of it as easily, far outweighs Protect's stalling for minor recovery and scouting of Choice users the majority of the time.

[OVERVIEW]

Leafeon sits in a good speed tier, which allows it to outspeed key threats such as Klinklang, Lilligant, Magmortar, Mesprit, Zangoose, Rotom and Sawk. Leafeon also has access to a great boosting move in Swords Dance which complements is excellent attack stat. Moreover, Leafeon is one of the few physical sweepers in the tier that can beat the ever so popular defensive threat, Quagsire. Leafeon also has great natural physical bulk which is not very common for an offensive pokemon which allows it to set up with relative ease. Leafeon also learns Natural Gift, which allows it to gain a strong physical move of any type when it is holding a particular Berry. Leafeon is a versatile pokemon, able to play the role of an offensive or defensive pokemon. What sets Leafeon apart from common bulky Grass-type users such as Vileplume is that it resists Ground-type attacks and thus, can handle pertinent threats such as Dual Dance Rhydon better. Sadly, Leafeon's typing leaves it weak to predominant Fire-, Ice-, Poison- and Flying-Types in the tier such as Pyroar, Sneasel, Garbodor and Fletchinder. Furthermore, Leafeon's poor special bulk prevents it from making good use of its resistances to Water- and Electric-type moves which are commonly special attacks. Due to Leafeon's limited coverage, it is left walled by many threats in the tier.

Moves
========

Swords Dance is used to increase Leafeon's attack by two stages. Leaf Blade is a powerful STAB move and has an added benefit of having a high critical hit ratio. Knock Off provides good neutral coverage with Leaf Blade as well as having the ability to remove an item. Knock Off allows Leafeon to hit Psychic- and Ghost-types such as Musharna, Xatu, Gourgeist and Haunter harder. Natural gift is an amazing move for Leafeon to carry. Natural gift allows Leafeon to take a berry, and essentially add any type move to your moveset and lure out its usual checks and counters and heavily damage them. For example, Watmel Berry gives a Fire Type Natural Gift which allows Leafeon to hit Grass-, Steel- and Bug-types such as Ferroseed, Klinklang, Magneton and Scyther. Synthesis is an option over Natural Gift that can give Leafeon increased longevity as well as heal off Life Orb's recoil and it can also stall out recoil from Kangaskhan's Double Edge. It can also make better use of Leafeon's physical bulk and check physical attackers

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed investment with a Jolly nature are used to outspeed any pokemon below the 95 Base Speed benchmarks such as Lilligant and Sawk and also speedtie with opposing base 95 pokemon such as Jynx and Uxie. Maximum attack investment is used for as much damage output as possible. Chlorophyll is used in case Leafeon faces Sun teams and it is the most useful ability out of the rest. Watmel berry will give you a fire type natural gift. Starf Berry can also be used for a 100 BP Psychic attack but can be consumed unintentionally. Life Orb is an option over Watmel Berry for more damage output and should only be used with Synthesis. Apicot Berry can be used for a 100 BP Ground attack which allows Leafeon to hit Poison-types, Fire-types and Steel-types such as Garbodor, Ninetales and Mawile all in one moveslot though it loses coverage on Grass- and Flying-types. These can be used to effectively hit checks to Leafeon. Overall, Watmel Berry is the best berry for Natural Gift as it provides a consistent 100 BP move and it is inactive unlike the other 100 BP Berries in Starf and Apicot berry. Lastly, Lum Berry is a viable option over the other items as a protection against statuses.

Usage Tips
========

It is encouraged for players to only attempt to sweep with Leafeon once its checks and counters are weakened or knocked out such as Vileplume and Fletchinder or otherwise it would be forced to switch out and all the boosts would be thrown in the water (take out the part after Fletchinder because its redundant and weird). If Leafeon does not use a Watmel Berry, Poison-types such as Weezing would stop it. If Leafeon does not use a Starf Berry, Steel-types such as Magneton and Klinklang would wall it. If Leafeon does not use Apicot Berry, Fire-types such as Ninetales would stop it. Try to set up on predicted switched or on passive pokemon such as Quagsire and Prinplup who cannot do inflict much damage on Leafeon though a Scald burn from those two may prove to be detrimental for leafeon. Also, watch out for powerful Fire- and Flying-types. Magmortar and Archeops can come in and revenge kill at any point. (Magmortar cant revenge kill at any point since it doesnt outspeed. Go with Ninetales instead)Your team should have checks to these types such as Mega Audino (Mega Audino doesnt check the majority of Fire and Flying types in the tier .-. Go with Regirock instead). Leafeon should watch out switching into special water-types as most of them carry coverage moves such as Ice Beam from Samurott that can heavily damage Leafeon. Natural gift can throw your opponent off guard as they do not know what berry Leafeon is holding and can pick up a surprise kill for you so take full advantage of that. Watmel berry will give you a base 100 fire type physical move that will allow you to hit pokemon such as Leafeon, Ferroseed, Vileplume, Lilligant, and Cacturne. After a Swords Dance, Watmel berry natural gift will OHKO Vileplume after rocks, OHKO ferroseed and straight up kill Lilligant or Cacturne with no boost at all. Starf berry is also viable with natural gift. They will give you a psychic type attack. Starf berry will allow you to hit things like Vileplume, Garbador, and Weezing. Starf berry is unreliable because if you take enough damage your berry will be used up and you lose your ability to hit poison types. Apicot Berry will give you a consistent Ground-type attack that hit Poison-types, Fire-types and Steel-types such as Garbodor, Ninetales and Mawile all in one moveslot. Unfortunately, Natural Gift is a one time use so it has to be used with caution and therefore, needs to count

Team Options
========

Leafeon works great with hazard support from Garbodor and Regirock. Any added damage from spikes and stealth rocks to the switches Leafeon can force only help it take things down quicker. Common switch ins like Ferroseed and Vileplume won't appreciate a knock off as well as hazard damage. Rhydon makes for a good Leafeon partner as it can handle flying- and Fire-types such as Scyther and Fletchinder for Leafeon while Leafeon can handle Water-types such as Quagsire for Rhydon. Carracosta is also a great partner as in addition to handling Flying- and Fire-types, it can also handle Ice-types such as Sneasel while Leafeon resists Electric- and Grass- and Ground-types for Carracosta in return. Defensive variants can easily handle threats to Leafeon while Shell Smash variants provides another win condition and appreciates Leafeon's ability to beat Quagsire. Pokemon that can greatly benefit from Leafeon's ability to lure in their checks with a Natural Gift are also good partners. If Apicot Berry is used, pokemon that handle Grass- and Flying-Types such as Rotom-S and Kabutops make good partners

Max HP investment for as much bulk as well as passing high wishes to teammates. 56 Speed EVs ensures thats Leafeon outspeeds neutral natured base 70 pokemon such as Samurott and Ludicolo. The rest is in defense to maximize Leafeon's physical bulk. A spread with 136 Speed EVs and the rest in HP and defense is another option which allows you to outspeed max speed neutral natured Kabutops. Finally, a spread with 176 Speed EVs and the rest in HP and defense is also another viable option that allows Leafeon to outspeed Adamant max speed Sawk, though losing out on a lot of physical bulk. Leftovers provide an extra recovery per turn. This coupled with the health you will be receiving from Wish + Protect will keep Leafeon alive and well.

Usage Tips
========

This set works well on stall or balanced teams that appreciates having a cleric and a bulky pivot. Pokemon that do not take kindly to being burned and paralyzed can be used more effectively on a team with defensive leafeon as you always have the option of heal belling and wish passing back to those mons. When not wishing and heal belling, Leafeon can be a good pivot between mons. Baton pass will allow you to keep some momentum and play as fluidly as you like. Leafeon is able to switch in to many walls safely. Sandslash and Rhydon are all common pokemons that Leafeon can switch into, set up a wish on, and threaten out with its powerful grass stab.

Team Options
========

Archeops is a good mon to pair with defensive Leafeon because it handles Fire- and Flying-types such as Pyroar and Swellow. Wish passing into Archeops to keep it healthy is also great. If roar is used on Leafeon, Hazard support from Carracosta, Rhydon and Garbodor can benefit it greatly as it can rack up hazard damage on opposing teams. These pokemon are also great partners in general as they appreciate the wish and heal bell support that Leafeon provides for them as they have no reliable recovery. Fire types are something to consider when building a team with Leafeon. Pokemon such as Assault Vest Hariyama and Assault Vest Magmortar to handle Scarfed Magmortar (scarf magmortar is bad and non-existent, go with Pyroar or Ninetales instead) that come in to revenge kill. Pyroar is something to be aware of as well, and you will find that Hariyama is the only aforementioned Pokemon with the ability to switch into Choice Specs Pyroar safely. (Remove the previous sentence if you go with Pyroar). Hariyama is a great teammate in particular as Leafeon can provide Heal Bell support for it if it gets burned from the aftermentioned Fire-type pokemon. Stunfisk is also another good teammate that can handle threats such as Fletchinder and provide Stealth Rock support. Mantine is also a good partner as it can deal with special attackers that Leafeon has trouble dealing with such as Ninetales and Pyroar while Leafeon can provide wish support for it. It can also provide Defog support that clear the field of hazards, which can interfere Leafeon's clerical duties

Knock Off is an option on the defensive set for utility, especially getting rid of pokemon that carry eviolite such as Prinplup, Ferroseed and Scyther. Lastly, a dedicated baton pass set with Substitute, Swords Dance and Leaf Blade is a another option to support its teammates.

Checks & Counters
===================

**Flying-Types**: Flying-types such as Fletchinder, Archeops, Swellow, Scyther, and Choice Scarf Rotom-S can outspeed Leafeon and threaten it with their Flying STAB to KO it, though the latter two do not appreciate taking a Knock Off and losing their item. Fletchinder, in particular, deserves a special mention for being one of the hardest checks against Leafeon as it can switch into any of Leafeon's attack and retailate with an Acrobatics

**Fire-Types**: Fire-Types such as Magmortar, Pyroar and Ninetales can switch into to a Leaf Blade from Leafeon and KO it with their Fire STAB moves though they have to be careful of an Apicot Berry Natural Gift. Magmortar is a shaky check as Leafeon outspeeds it. The latter two can outspeed it and OHKO it.

**Ice-Types**: Ice-types such as Sneasel do not appreciate taking a Leaf Blade but can outspeed and damage Leafeon easily with its Ice-STAB move. Cryogonal can also outspeed Leafeon and can easily OHKO it with a Freeze-Dry. Jynx can also easily OHKO leafeon but has to risk a speedtie. Aurorus can also easily revenge kill Leafeon if it is a Choice Scarf variant

**Steel-Types**: Steel-Types such as Mawile, Klinklang and Pawniard can set up on defensive variants of Leafeon and beat the offensive sets of Leafeon 1 on 1 unless it carries a Watmel or Apicot Berry Natural Gift. Magneton can also beat all variants of Leafeon as long as it does not carry a Watmel Berry or Apicot Berry Natural Gift

[OVERVIEW]

Leafeon sits in a good speed tier, which's good Speed tier allows it to outspeed key threats such as Klinklang, Lilligant, Magmortar, Mesprit, Zangoose, Rotom, (AC) and Sawk. Leafeon also has access to a great boosting move in Swords Dance, (AC) which complements is excellent ats excellent Attack stat. Moreover, Leafeon is one of the few physical sweepers in the tier that can beat the ever so popular defensive threat, Quagsire. Leafeon also has great natural physical bulk, (AC) which is not very common for an offensive pokemon which allowsPokemon, allowing it to set up with relative ease. Leafeon also learns Natural Gift, which allows it to gain a strong physical move of any type when it is holding a particular Berry. Leafeon is a versatile pokemon,Pokemon, as it is able to play the role of an offensive or defensive pokemonrole. What sets Leafeon apart from common bulky Grass-type users such as Vileplume is that it resists Ground-type attacks and thus, can handle pertinent threats such as Dual Dance Rhydon better. Sadly, Leafeon's typing leaves it weak to predominant Fire-, Ice-, Poison- and Flying-T, (AC) and Flying-types in the tier such as Pyroar, Sneasel, Garbodor, (AC) and Fletchinder. Furthermore, Leafeon's poor special bulk prevents it from making good use of its resistances to Water- and Electric-type moves, (AC) which are commonly special attacks. Due to Leafeon's limited coverage, it is left walled by many threats in the tierNU.

Swords Dance is used to increase Leafeon's aAttack by two stages. Leaf Blade is a powerful STAB move and has an added benefit of having a high critical hit ratio. Moves

Wish is a great way to remain healthy and keep your team up on its feet. Wish It will give Leafeon back 50% of its health the turn after it's used, and, in most instances, passes even more health to the rest of your team. (Leafeon has base 65 HP though...? idk, just checking) Synthesis allows Leafeon to heal itself more efficiently if it does not want the opponent to take advantage of free turns. The access to immediate recovery can also be helpful if Leafeon is low on health and needs to survive that turn. Protect is used to safely get a Wish off for Leafeon as well as to scout for what move Choice item users lock themselves into, and it is also used to stall for extra recovery. Leaf Blade is Leafeon's best STAB move, (comma) as it has no drawbacks and has a high Base Power. Leafeon's naturally good Attack stat will allow it to dish out good damage with no investment. Heal Bell is a fantastic utility move for not only Leafeon, (remove comma) but the entire team itself. Should your opponent switch in to something that would threaten the intended Wish receiver, you could simply Baton Pass into something else without having to predict if whether the foe will stay in or get switched out.

Set Details
========

Maximum HP investment is used for as much bulk as possible as well as passing a lot of health to teammates with Wish. 56 Speed EVs ensuresthats ensure that Leafeon outspeeds neutral-natured base 70 Speed Pokemon such as Samurott and Ludicolo. Leftovers provides a form of passive recovery. Leftovers, and, coupled with the health that Leafeon will be receiving from Wish + Protect, will keep Leafeon alive and well.

Usage Tips
========

This set works well on stall and balanced teams that appreciate having cleric support and a bulky pivot. Pokemon that do not take being burned or paralyzed kindly can be used more effectively on a team with defensive Leafeon, as you always have the option of using Heal Bell, (remove comma) and giving health back to Leafeon's teammates with Wish and Baton Pass. When Leafeon is not using Wish or Heal Bell, it can be a good pivot between Pokemon. (can keep if necessary; I've just always seen it as just "pivot") Baton Pass will allow Leafeon to keep some momentum. Leafeon is able to switch in to many walls safely. Sandslash and Rhydon are all common Pokemon that Leafeon can switch into, set up on with Wish, and threaten them out with its powerful Grass-type STAB move stab.

Team Options
========

Archeops is a good Pokemon to pair with defensive Leafeon because it handles Fire- and Flying-types such as Pyroar and Swellow well. Wish passing into Archeops to keep it healthy is also great. If Leafeon runs Roar is used on Leafeon, entry hazard support from Carracosta, Rhydon, and Garbodor can benefit it greatly, as it can rack up entry hazard damage on opposing teams. These Pokemon are also great partners in general, as they appreciate the Wish and Heal Bell support that Leafeon provides for them, as they have no forms of reliable recovery. Fire-types foes are something to consider when building a team with Leafeon. Pyroar and Ninetales are likely to come in to revenge kill Leafeon, so Pokemon that can handle them Pyroar and Ninetales such as Assault Vest Hariyama and Assault Vest Magmortar are good partners can come in to revenge kill. (okay, I think you were originally meant something like "Pyroar and Ninetales usually switch in to revenge kill Leafeon, so it's good to have partners such as AV Hariyama and AV Magmortar to deal with them". if that's right, implement the change. if not, let me know and we'll figure something else out. either way the current sentence is not correct) Hariyama is a great teammate in particular, as Leafeon can provide Heal Bell support for it if it gets burned from by the Fire-types. Stunfisk is also another good teammate that can handle threats such as Fletchinder and provide Stealth Rock support. Mantine is also a good partner, as it can deal with special attackers that Leafeon has trouble dealing with such as Ninetales and Pyroar, and Leafeon can provide Wish support for it. It can also provide Defog support to clear the field of entry hazards, which can interfere Leafeon's clerical duties.

Other Options
=============

Knock Off is an option on the defensive set for utility, especially getting rid of Pokemon that carry Eviolite such as Prinplup, Ferroseed, and Scyther. Yawn is also an option for a good utility move that can force out switches (if you meant Yawn can force out Pokemon that switch into Leafeon, replace "switches" with "switch-ins". if you mean Yawn forces switches, just say "that can force switches"). Lastly, a dedicated Baton Pass set with Substitute, Swords Dance, and Leaf Blade is a another option to allow Leafeon to support its teammates. A set with Substitute and Swords Dance with two attacks is also a viable option.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Poison-types**: Poison-types such as Vileplume, Garbodor, and Weezing resist Leafeon's STAB move, (comma) and can take a Knock Off, (comma) and can retaliate with their respective Poison-type STAB moves, though they have to be careful with of a potential Starf Berry Natural Gift.

Fletchinder, in particular, deserves a special mention for being one of the hardest checks against to Leafeon, as it can switch into any of Leafeon's attacks and retailiate retaliate with an Acrobatics.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Magmortar, Pyroar, and Ninetales can switch into to a Leaf Blade from Leafeon and KO it with their Fire-type STAB moves, (AC) though they have to be careful of an Apicot Berry Natural Gift. Magmortar is a shaky check because Leafeon outspeeds it. The latter two can outspeed it and OHKO it.

**Ice-types**: Ice-types such as Sneasel do not appreciate taking a Leaf Blade but can outspeed and damage Leafeon easily with its their Ice-type STAB moves. Cryogonal can also outspeed Leafeon and easily OHKO it with Freeze-Dry. Jynx can also easily OHKO. (remove period) Leafeon but has to risk a Speed tie.
