Choice Scarf Tapu Fini is a reliable revenge killer for Water teams that is especially effective at threatening Dark and Dragon teams thanks to its Fairy typing; it also brings valuable utility to the team in the form of Defog and Misty Terrain. Moonblast targets Dark-, Dragon-, and Fighting-types like Greninja, Hydreigon, and Kommo-o. Ice Beam allows Tapu Fini to reliably hit Flying- and Ground-types like Tornadus-T and the Landorus formes without relying on Hydro Pump’s faulty accuracy. Alternatively, Trick can be used to neuter defensive switch-ins like Ferrothorn and Blissey. Knock Off can be used when Trick is not to punish common switch-ins like Hisuian Goodra, Galarian Slowking, and Articuno by removing Leftovers or Heavy-Duty Boots, cutting down on their longevity. Defog lets Tapu Fini support its teammates with entry hazard removal. Swampert and Mega Swampert make excellent partners for Tapu Fini, leveraging their Electric immunity to take on threats like Iron Hands and Regieleki. They can also set Stealth Rock, generate momentum with Flip Turn, and threaten Poison-types like Toxapex and Alolan Muk. Choice Specs Greninja can use Sludge Wave and Extrasensory to target Grass- and Poison-types like Ogerpon-W, Mega Venusaur, and Toxapex while also eliminating Galarian Slowking. Greninja also synergizes well with Tapu Fini to break down Dragon teams. Keldeo, Ogerpon-W, and Barraskewda provide Fighting-type coverage to tear through walls like Ferrothorn and Hisuian Goodra as well as eliminate Kyurem. Toxapex's high physical bulk, neutrality to Grass, resistance to Steel and Poison, and access to Haze and Scald allow it to check threats like Meowscarada, Mega Scizor, and Sneasler. Empoleon can handle foes like Choice Specs Kyurem and Tapu Lele while also providing Stealth Rock, Flip Turn, Knock Off, or Defog support, relieving Tapu Fini of Defog duties in the latter scenario.

Choice Scarf Tapu Fini is a strong (its not strong, it also doesnt really threaten anything that much, its more of just being quite enough to kill Kommo-o and stuff) revenge killer for Water teams that is especially effective at threatening Dark and Dragon teams thanks to its Fairy typing; it also brings valuable utility to the team in the form of Defog, Misty Terrain, and Knock Off (remove, its niche as it is) support. Moonblast targets Dark-, Dragon-, and Fighting-types like Greninja, Hydreigon, and Kommo-o. Ice Beam allows Tapu Fini to reliably hit Flying- and Ground-types like Tornadus-T, Enamorus (usually scarfed, perhaps ddnite would be abetter option?), and the Landorus formes without relying on Hydro Pump’s faulty accuracy. Alternatively, Trick can be used to neuter defensive switch-ins like Ferrothorn and Toxapex (zhaze very common and you’re not swapping into these guys, so locking them into status moves is weird. These are just swap ins, blissey/H.goo would be a good trick options too) by locking them into status moves. Defog lets Tapu Fini support its teammates with entry hazard removal. Knock Off punishes common switch-ins like Hisuian Goodra, Galarian Slowking, and Porygon2 (…articuno or tinglu/amuk maybe. Mention that knock only an option if you somehow dont have trick) by removing Leftovers, Heavy-Duty Boots, or Eviolite, cutting down on their longevity. (clarified that Tapu Fini gets relieved of Defog support duty only when Empoleon provides it, since this cannot happen if Empoleon doesn't run Defog)
