LEAVANNY'S ILLUSION

INTRO
This is my first RMT so dont judge to harshly.
I decided to do a Leavanny based team due to the fact that it is my favourite pokemon and that i havn't seen this little gem of awesomeness used.
So here is team Leavanny's Illusion.

Zoroark @ Focus Sash
Illusion
4HP / 252Sp.A / 252Spe
Timid (+Spe , -Atk)
-Nasty plot
-Dark pulse
-Focus blast
-Flamethrower

I love this set as it has the abilty to tear through unpreparred team. With on nasty plot it's Sp.A skyrockets to a massive 678 giving it the ability to tear through even the strongest of walls. Nasty plot gives dark pulse the ability to demolish any offensive pokemon that doesn't resist it. Focas blast is to destroy the omnipresent tyranitar after one Nasty Plot and also offers some great coverage to this set. Flamethrower is there to deal with steels like Scizor and Jirachi that are just plain annoying. After one Nasty Plot this poke has the power to create ultimate chaos.
When used correctly Illusion is a great ability to trick my opponent so i can get a quick Nasty Plot in before lanching the offenses.
Focus Sash is so Zoroark doesn't get one-shooted straight away due to it's less than perfect defences.
The Timid nature is to maximize speed and the EV spread is the standard Sp.sweeper set for obvious reasons.

Synergy-
  • Fighting- Gengar and Latios
  • Bug- Cobalion and Heatran

Cobalion @ Life Orb
Justified
252Atk / 202Spe / 54HP
Jolly (+Spe , -Sp.A)
-Swords Dance
-Close Combat
-Substitute
-Stone Edge

Due to Cobalion's high defenses i can usually get one Swords Dance in if I take nutreal damage from and attack but Super Effective hits hurt this poke.
Stone Edge is a move that gains force after a SD putting the pain on anything that doesn't resist it.
Substitute is used for walling purposes aswell as an oppurtunity to set up some more SD.
Close Combat is used alot of the time as it is the STAB of the set and does alot of Hurt after 2-3 SD.
The jolly nature is to help speed and the life orb is an added power boost to this set. The spread is a classic P.Sweeper with a more Bulky twist.

Synergy-
  • Fire- Latios and Heatran
  • Fighting- Latios and Gengar
  • Ground- Gengar and Latios

2Q==

Gengar @ Life Orb
Levitate
4HP / 252Sp.A / 252Spe
Timid (+Spe , -Atk )
-Substitute
-Pain Split
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball

This set smashes walls to oblivion. Sub-Split is the ultimate tool of wall destruction. This set Benifits from the LO damage and weather damage as the lower the HP the more the pain. Focus Blast offers nice coverage against things like Tyranitar and Shadow Ball is the STAB of the set thet i use if the poke doesn't resist it.
The Timid nature is to increase speed and the EV's are for max Sp.A and Speed.

Synergy-
  • Psychic- Heatran, Latios, Cobalion and Zoroark
  • Ghost- Cobalion, Heatran and Zoroark
  • Dark- Cobalion, Heatran and Zoroark

images

Latios @ Choice Specs
Levitate
4HP / 252Sp.A / 252Spe
Timid (+Spe , -Atk)
-Draco Meteor
-Surf
-Psyshock
-Dragon Pulse

This set is designed for PAIN right from the start. Draco Meteor and Dragon Pulse offers great coverage as well as dealing damage at massive amounts. Surf is for great coverage putting dents in things like Tyranitar and Scizor. Psyshock is there for Special walls like Blissey and Snorlax.
The EV set is standard for this set and the timind nature is for speed.

Synergy-
  • Ice- Cobalion and Heatran
  • Bug- Cobalion and Heatran
  • Ghost- Cobalion, Heatran and Zoroark
  • Dragon- Cobalion and Heatran
  • Dark- Zoroark, Cobalion and Heatran

images

Heatran @ Leftovers
Flash Fire
4HP / 252Sp.A / 252Spe
Timid (+Spe , -Atk)
-Sunny Day
-Fire Blast
-Solar Beam
-Earth Power

The unusual addition os Sunny Day is purely to avoid weather wars as well as to aid it's self boosting fireblast and an Instant Solar Beam. Solar Beam is for Waters that think that they can overpower Heatran but boy they wished they wern't so cocky. Fire Blast is a powerful primary STAB and used to make it look like it's a standard Heatran set. Earth Power is for a STAB that offers more coverage.
The Timid nature is for speed that Heatran really could do some more of.
The EV's are a standard Sp.Sweeper set for max Sp.A and Speed.
The leftovers are for staying power in the feil of battle.

Synergy-
  • Ground- Gengar and Latios
  • Water- Leavanny, Cobalion and Latios
  • Fighting- Latios and Gengar

Leavanny @ Life Orb
Chlorphyll
4HP / 252Atk / 252Spe
Adamant (+Atk , -Sp.A)
-Leaf Blade
-Swords Dance
-Shadow Claw
-HP Fire

I have one thing to say about the cover star of this team. This Poke is EPIC! After one SD you better watch out, it demolishes unsuspecting teams.
Leaf Blade is the most used STAB of this set dealing pain by the bucket load. The high crit-hit ratio is very nice dealing even more damage.
Swords Dance is for boosting purposes making this little bug even more deadly.
Shadow Claw is just for coverage and a random attack that you wont be exspecting. The crit-hit ratio again is a nice twist to this move.
HP Fire is for coverage aswell as unusal move typing.
Clorophyll is for taking advantage aswell as making use of sun created by Heatran.
The EV's are a standard P.Sweepers set and the LO is for increasing damge amounts.

Synergy-
  • Fire- Latios and Heatran
  • Flying- Cobalion (Stone Edge)
  • Ice- Cobalion and Heatran
  • Poison- Heatran, Cobalion and Latios
  • Bug- Heatran and Cobalion
  • Rock- Cobalion
That was my RMT(Leavanny's Illusion). I hope you like it and please give advise to make this team even better.

I really do not recommend using Leavanny outside of sun. It's not really that fast and can get revenged easily by scarfers such as Terrakion.
CB Scizor is a big threat to your team, nothing can switch in without perfect prediction.
DDance Dragonite is also a big threat to this team, seeing as the team is slow and nothing can really take it on after a Dragon Dance.

Not sure what I can do to change the team, however Ninetales is essential if you want to keep Leavanny, and you might want to consider an Air Balloon on Heatran to act as a one-time failsafe against DDance Dragonite.

You have a big problem with Scizor, as ICeydude says before , you don't have a sure switch for him...Why don't you change one between Latios and Gengar ( I advice Gengar...) with Skarmory?

To help beat Scizors, you could try finding a spot for Hidden Power [Fire] on your Latios. With proper prediction, you can take out Scizors easily, which could possibly be a great adversary to this team.

It is really well made though I like like the idea of using Leavanny in Ou. No one ever does, and showing it love is something that was needed <3

Would changing gengar for Magnezone work?

Magnezone is not a bad idea at all. But in my eyes, I think Skarm would be a safer bet, as you can phaze DDance Draonite, and other set up sweepers, while also setting up spikes for residual damage. And Also ninetales would be a great addition so leavanny does not have to worry about the sun fading. Nice team though my dude !

Don't use HP Fire on Leavanny, with an Adamant nature and no EV investments it'll do pitiful damage even to a Ferrothorn. I would recommend changing it to X-Scissor for an extra STAB and so you can hit other grass types hard.

Leavanny is your favorite and stuff, but even having a team completely centered around it makes it not viable in OU. Leavanny's frailness makes it susceptible to priority such as Ice Shard from Mamoswine. Other set up attackers, most if not all of these attackers are much better than Leavanny in almost all stats. Physical Walls such as Skarmory can take a HP Fire in the sun, survive and phaze you out, to destroy Leavanny easily with Stealth rocks and spikes. Ferrothorn can also survive HP fires and KO with Gyro Balls. I agree with icydude from the first post: If you still want to keep Leavanny, you must also use a Ninetales to summon permanent sun. Also, if a Terrakion has gotten a +2 Spd, your team is wiped out, 6-0.
