Lele-Lee
I got the idea for this team from the koko-lucha unburden core. Thought I'd try it, and I really ended up liking it! In fact, it's my favorite team to use on the ladder right now. See for yourself!
Let's meet the gang

Shuckle @ Mental Herb
Ability: Sturdy
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Sticky Web
- Encore
- Toxic
This whole team revolves around getting sticky web up. Sticky web benefits Tapu Lele, Hitmonlee and Magearna. With sturdy and mental herb, you WILL be able to get it off. Most of the time, Shuckle tanks a few good hits before dying, so make sure to get rocks up and then you can spread toxic or encore depending on what your opponents doing. I had final gambit over toxic originally, but it never did enough damage to justify it. Toxic is the better option. If you can predict a stealth rock, status or set up move like calm mind, it's really fun to encore. **Don't let a Melmetal double iron bash you turn 1. I learned this the hard way. It might get the flinch and you won't get web off.**

Tapu Lele @ Choice Specs
Ability: Psychic Surge
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Psyshock
Tapu Lele benefits from sticky web being up. Specs Lele is here to punch holes in your opponents team AND to set up psychic terrain for Hitmonlee. Pretty standard moveset. Nothing new here.

Hitmonlee @ Psychic Seed
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 132 HP / 252 Atk / 124 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
Yeah, yeah. We ALL know Lucha is the superior unburden user. However, it's been my experience that using a mon not seen much in OU can create some anxiety in opponents. Plus, Lee's fun to use. If you catch someone off guard, Lee can absolutely sweep. The key here is getting a bulk up off either as soon as you get him in OR on a predicted switch. If you switch Lee in on a Corvi, that Corvi is probably not staying in, thus the perfect opportunity to click bulk up. CC is mandatory stab. Stone edge is coverage for your flying types. The last slot is really whatever flavor you want. I chose eq. You could also sub for knock off or blaze kick.

Rillaboom @ Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Knock Off
- Drain Punch
- U-turn
Rilla is used to deal chip damage and to u-turn other mons in. I like drain punch over superpower because of the recovery. Heatran lovesss to switch in to Rilla...not so much when you predict it and hit him with drain punch! Pretty standard set. Choice banded grassy glide might be op but we're gonna use it til we lose it. Right?!

Cinderace @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Libero
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Pyro Ball
- Gunk Shot
- High Jump Kick
- U-turn
Standard Ace. Like Rilla, Ace is used to deal chip damage, to u-turn other mons in AND to punch holes in the fairies, grass, steel, dark, normal mons. You know the drill.

Magearna @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Shift Gear
- Stored Power
- Focus Blast
Lastly, after much moral deliberation, I added Magearna. To most people's surprise, this is actually the first time I've used the mon. I whole heartedly believe it is broken. However, if you can't beat em, join em. Right? Pretty standard Mag set. Weakness policy to skyrocket that SpA.
