Let's Get Special! (And Somewhat Physical)

Introduction
Hello there guys! Welcome to my first RMT! This team is all about stalling until I find the right moment to switch in with an attacker and punch a couple holes in the other person's team.
Team Building Process:
I decided that I would start off with my defensive duo. First, I wanted my duo to have no weakness in a type-match up sense. So I looked to the likes of Spiritomb and Sableye for some inspiration. With a Ghost typing Cofagrigus was only weak to dark and ghost type moves, which Umbreon is resistant to. Umbroen, whose weaknesses are bug and fighting, are types cofagrigus gladly resists.

Next up, I decided I should start actually dealing damage. After a quick think Victini came to mind. With a choice band I could easily use V-create to OHKO foolish Max HP/Max Def+ Bronzong who thought they could set up Stealth Rocks as I might've overpredicted a switch and used Bolt Strike instead of V-create. Furthermore Bolt Strike could take out any pesky water-types that obviously resisted V-create. For instance CroCune got OHKO'd by my Bolt Strike everytime I would face it.

I noticed that quite the number of flying types could easily get the better of me like Serene Grace Togekiss, and Speed Boost Yanmega with HP ground. I figured the usage of an electric-type could easily elevate the problem. Now I debated with myself for a while whether to choose Calm Mind Raikou or Life Orb Zapdos. Obviously you can see who won that debate:

At this point I decided that I should get a good sweeper on the team so that way: Victin can punch holes, Zapdos knockes out a couple of niche pokes, and the last guy could outspeed everything and sweep. I knew a flying type would fit this role so I quickly glanced upon all the flying types in UU and the answer could not be more obvious. Why not feed myself some of my former poison? Or in another terms, why not Speed boost Yanmega? After some thought I knew he would wreck shit and out speed everybody after two turns.

The final postion. But who should it go to? For a while I keep switching out the 6th member of the team for what seemed like forever. I tried out Snorlax, Weavile, Porygon-Z, Virizion, and others. But I finally decided on the Hi Jump King (See what I did there? :P), Mieanshao! And my team worked great for a while, until the two gaping holes in my team, which I'm sure most of you have notcied by now, started to reveal itself to me. A) All my offensive players are weak to Stealth Rocks (Bar Mieanshao) and B)I had no counter to physical dark-type pokes. Cofagrigus might've been able to take one hit but no way could he take two. So I needed someone who could Rapid Spin, and counter physical dark-types. And after a quick review of all the rapid spinner in UU this left me with: Hitmontop, Blastoise, and Claydol. Claydol was immediately crossed off the list as he had a weakness to dark-type moves. Now Hitmontop or Blastoise? Welp, after a quick review of their stats, it was clear Blastoise completely beat out Hitmontop. Blastoise boasted higher HP, Def, and as an added bonus Spe. And within a heartbeat Blastoise was welcomed to the team!

The Team
Now for the Set-up of the team!

Umbreon

iaza12957721553600.jpg

Blue Moon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP/ 4 Def/ 252 SpD
Calm Nature
~Wish
~Heal Bell
~Foul Play
~Protect

Umbreon is one of the greatest special walls in the UU tier. It's ability to clear out any nasty status conditions my team might've gotten is also very helpful. Foul play is really there as filler to cause some damage, though it most likely won't be causing much as most of the pokes I would switch it into have generally low attack. Wish is an amazing support move. If Blastoise ever gets knocked out before I get rid of the rocks then all Umbreon has to do is wish then switch out to Yanmega and (provided he lives the hit) heals back a good chunk of his HP. And not only is Umbreon's wish limited to Yanmega, it can be used to heal up Blastoise and Cofagrigus after they've taken a couple of hits. I could also wish protect to help up Umbreon himself! The EV spread is meant to keep Umbreon alive and taking hits for days to come. Synchronize is good but is used mainly for a lack of better options. And leftovers is there because a Wish+Leftovers with Protect heals for massive amounts of health.

Cofagrigus

iaza12957784679400.jpg

CoFABulous (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Mummy
EVs: 248 HP/ 252 Def/ 8 SpD
Bold Nature
~Pain Split
~Shadow Ball
~Will-O-Wisp
~Haze

Cofagrigus goes nicely with Umbreon, soaking up all those Hi Jump kicks and Megahorns that Umbreon doesn't particularly like. It can also cripple the physical foes it takes on with the use of Will-O-Wisp. And any Scrafty thinking of bulking up or dragon dancing can just get Hazed back to nothing. Shadow ball is there so that Cofagrigus isn't complete taunt bate. Mummy is also great because any physical attacker stuck with a burn and mummy might as well be dead. The EV spread is meant to keep Cofagrigus alive as long as possible, just like Umbreon. Leftovers is here because since Cofagrigus has quite low HP he needs any chance of recovery he can get.

Victini

iaza12957772496300.png

Hippy (-) @ Choice Band
Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk/ 4 SpD/ 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
~V-Create
~U-Turn
~Bolt Strike
~Zen Headbutt

Do you know what the V in Victini stands for? If you guessed Victory, you're wrong. It the shape forever burned into your enemy after taking a V-create. Anytime a pokemon takes neutral damage from V-create but super effective damage from Bolt Strike is the only time Bolt Strike should be taken over V-create. Zen Headbutt is really there as filler and U-turn is there to keep momentum. The EV spread is meant to give Victini the strongest V-create possible, yet not at the sacrifice of his speed. Since Victini lacks a scarf and his attack is already boosted gives us enough reason to use a Jolly nature.

Zapdos

iaza12957729661500.jpg

Zippy (-) @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Timid Nature
~Roost
~Heat Wave
~Thunderbolt
~Hidden Power (Grass)

Zapdos is by far the most niche pokemon on my team. He is there to purely get rid of Water/ground types and flying types. Thunderbolt crushes over Zapdos, Yanmega, Togekiss, etc. Hidden power Grass is to ensure things like Gastrodon and Lanturn just stop for a second and think if they really need to switch in right now. Since I have a life orb Roost is great for healing up any lost HP viz the life orb. The set's EV spread is meant to pack the most powerful punch at the fastest speed.
Yanmega

iaza12957714541500.jpg

(Speedy) Gonzales (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Modest Nature
~Air Slash
~Bug Buzz
~Hidden Power (Ground)
~Protect

All hail Yanmega! The king of UU late-game sweeping. After one speed boost he outspeeds all unboosted pokemon without a choice scarf. Also his move set has perfect coverage for the set and against everything not named Rotom-H. His powerful Bug Buzz's can knock out Max HP/ Max SpD+ Umbreon in two hits. Air Slash hits the plethora of UU fighting types for super effective damage. Bar Coballion how falls victim instead to my next move: Hidden power Ground. Simply put it's to get steel types, namely Coballion and all other steel types not named Levitate Bronzong.

Blastoise

iaza12957722016300.jpg

Hamad Al-Salem (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 SpA
Bold Nature
~Rapid Spin
~Scald
~Toxic
~Ice Beam

Blastoise. I cannot say how much greater my team has functioned with him on it. No longer do I have to moan the moment I see those deathly Stealth Rocks. Now Blastoise can do so many things. He can toxic Destiny bond Froslass who had just set up spikes then proceed to rapid spin the spikes away. Any dark-type physicals he encounters are burned by scald (Bar Shed Skin Scrafty). And Ice beam is there in case a dragon type happens to walk by. Toxic, one of the greatest status moves, inflicts one of the best status, BADLY poisoned. This GREATLY decreases the life span of any team lacking a Heal bell(Or some variation) user.

Well thank you very much for reading my very first RMT! Please leave any suggestions for my team as replies! Also any errors or confsuion seen in the text, please bring it to my attention. Thank you! :D

Hey there interesting team you have there. I think you should have Stealth Rock on this team because it can turn many 2HKO into OHKO and put pressure on your opponent on switching. So I would recommend using Gligar over Cofagrigus because they both can still check the same pokemon. You should run Scarf Victini over banded because it'll let you outspeed threats such as Crobat and other scarfers. I recommend Blastoise should run Roar over Ice Beam because you can simply phase Pokemon that try to set up in your face. Try out Sharpedo over Yanmega as well it's a great late game sweeper as well and doesn't have Stealth Rock weakness.
Gligar @ Eviolite
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Earthquake
- U-turn

Blastoise
Roar>Ice Beam

Sharpedo @ Life Orb
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Protect
- Earthquake
GL with your team.

I actually see you're reasoning and I think I will make that change :D

You should run Scarf Victini over banded because it'll let you outspeed threats such as Crobat and other scarfers.
I would but I don't actually feel that crobat is such a threat. Nor is any other scarfer because I could just switch into one of my walls to take the hit.

I recommend Blastoise should run Roar over Ice Beam because you can simply phase Pokemon that try to set up in your face.
I actually only carry the ice beam to get rid of gligar. But now that I have my own might not need it so much...

Try out Sharpedo over Yanmega as well it's a great late game sweeper as well and doesn't have Stealth Rock weakness.
I suppose I could give it a shot but I feel sharpedo is a lot more easily walled. Anyways I'm still gonna give it a shot

Thanks for all your feedback :D

I would say there are two main problems with the team, lack of Stealth Rocks and a weakness to Electric types. Two of your pokemon are weak to Electric, and you have no resistances. The only thing that can take a T-Bolt well on your team would be Umbreon.

I have a great remedy to both of these problems: Piloswine. Not only is it immune to Electric, it resists Ice type attacks as well thanks to Thick Fat. This makes it an awesome check to Sub CM Raikou and regular Zapdos. It also has access to Stealth Rock.

Piloswine @ Eviolite
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Icicle Spear/Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Stealth Rock

I really like the idea of a piloswine but who do you think I should replace for piloswine?
