Lets See What We've Got Here... (OU)

Ok been playing on the WiFi and Shoddy for a while but im not well known. Usually im on the recieving end of a beating but im always trying to change that lol. So after some brain storming and team building and breaking I think i have finally come up with a reasonable team. The main thing that I really wanted out of this team was to use Flygon in it.
This is because Flygon is my favourite pokemon ever lol.

So with out further a due lets see what weve got shall we.

The Attack of the Triffid
i_rozureido_tubomi.gif

Roserade @ Focus Sash - Timid
4 HP - 252 Spe - 252 SpA
407.gif
- Sleep Powder
407.gif
- Toxic Spikes
407.gif
- Grass Knot
407.gif
- Sludge Bomb

Right this is a great lead even if the analysis reacons it is for UU. HAH. This can still be really helpful in OU. Sleep Powder on the first turn to put either the lead to sleep or to sleep what ever decided to switch in to Roserade.
The Toxic Spikes. Normally get one up with out a hitch but on the odd occasion 2 can be a challenge. But even one can cause a bit of trouble for the opponent.
Grass Knot and Sludge Bomb are for the miraculous occasion that this manages to set up both Toxic Spikes and still be alive. In a sense this is a suicide lead to add pressure to the opponent.

The Attack of the Dragon
i_furaigon.gif

Flygon @ Choice Scarf - Adamant
80 HP - 252 Atk - 176 Spe
330.gif
- OutRage
330.gif
- U Turn
330.gif
- Stone Edge
330.gif
- Earthquake

This is the dragon that i have always wanted to use on a team and have now decided to try and use one. I never really knew how much of a beast this can be specailly with the choice scarf so it can out speed things that it normally couldnt with the choice band. Outrage and U Turn are the main attacks of this dragons repatoir. Outrage rips most things that dont resist apart while U Turn scout the opponents pokemon so i can figure out move sets.

The Attack of Anubis
i_rukario_s.gif

Lucario @ Life Orb - Adamant
252 Atk - 4 Def - 252 Spe
448.gif
- Sword Dance
448.gif
- Extreme Speed
448.gif
- Close Combat
448.gif
- Ice Punch

I know probably one of the most used and abuse pokemon out there. Up there with Salamence and Scizor but it is just that damn good. Even with out the Sword Dance boost this thing can cause damage to most things that oppose it. With a Sword Dance and then the highest Priority move in the game this thing slaughters. Ice Punch is there for the Dragonites or Salamences that might try and spoil the fun.

The Attack of the Poltergiest
i_yonowaaru.gif

Dusknoir @ LeftOvers - Impish
252 HP - 28 Atk - 228 Def
477.gif
- Will O Wisp
477.gif
- Pain Split
477.gif
- Fire Punch
477.gif
- Ice Punch

Never used one of these before this team. Never. But dang have i been missing out. The tanking ability of this surprised me. With Pain Split it even has some type of longevity. You might be thinking why WoW when Toxic Spikes will be up. Well it can still be used on things that arnt affected by WoW, Salamence for example. Also for the occasions where Roserade is a dunce and gets fainted with out any spikes at all. Punchs are there for some attack power. Fire for Scizor and Ice for Dragons =)

The Attack from the Stars
i_sutaamii.gif

Starmie @ Life Orb - Modest
252 SpA - 252 Spe - 4 HP
121.gif
- Surf
121.gif
- ThunderBolt
121.gif
- Ice Beam
121.gif
- Recover

Next up is Starmie. I have always like the power and speed that this "Star" carries. Classic BoltBeam Combo (sounds like a fastfood meal lol) And Surf for the STAB. Recover is nice to get back some of the Life Orb damage. This will usually come in after someone fainted or someone uses a water move. This is mainly used to get rid of any Gyarados that are willing to stay in against this.

The Attack of the Blob
i_hapinasu.gif

Blissey @ LeftOvers - Bold
252 Def - 148 HP - 108 SpA
242.gif
- Stealth Rocks
242.gif
- ThunderBolt
242.gif
- Ice Punch
242.gif
- SoftBoiled

OK. Your all probably shouting "NOOOOB!!" at me right now for using the pink blob. But this adds some more support to the team as well as being one of the best special walls in the game. The is great for stalling so the opponent slowly faints due to Toxic Spikes. Stealth Rocks is there so that the opponent doesnt only get poisoned they get hurt as well. Hopefully it would stop the opponent from switching as much as well. BoltBeam again because its a classic and adds some coverage for Blissey.

OK So there is my team and what do you think. This is mainly going to be for WiFi.
Thank You and Take Care

For anyone wondering what a Triffid is it is the following....

The triffid is a highly venomous fictional plant species, the titular antagonist from John Wyndham's 1951 novel The Day of the Triffids and Simon Clark's 2001 sequel The Night of the Triffids. The word "triffid" has become a popular British English term used to describe large or menacing looking plants

This may sound odd but i see a really big lucario weakness. After a SD it can ko all of your team assuming it has crunch, and relying on a speed tie to kill it is not good. So in place of dusknoir may i suggest choice scarf rotom? It is immune to extreemspeed and can ohko back with overheat. I also see a big dragon dance tyrantatar problem too. As after a DD it can outspeed all of your pokemon and sweep them. So may ialso suggest a mixed swampert set?

I would work on your weaknesses to dragon dance pokemon.

Good luck:)

While I am not an expert at this game, if I was facing your Roserade, Hidden Power Fire would scare me much more than Sludge Bomb, because with Sludge Bomb, it is extremely vulnerable to Scizor and steel types.

Also, you might as well use Ice Beam instead of Ice Punch on Blissey, since Blissey's attack is as low as it gets.

EDIT: Oh, and if you want to use Ice Punch on Lucario, you might as well use a Jolly nature to have a chance at outspeeding Gliscor and neutral natured Salamance and such.

Problems:

SD Lucario
DD Mence

How to fix:

Lucario can find alot of openings for Swords Dance, and once it has Swords Dance, you'll probably have a hard time getting by it and relying on speed tie is not good. My suggestion is Rotom for Dusknoir for more speed:

Rotom-H
@ Leftovers
Timid Nature (Spe+ / Atk-)
252 HP / 44 Def / 212 Spe

- Will-O-Wisp
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Overheat

This is a great addition due to its nice typing to check both Lucario and Scizor. 212 Spe outpaces Adamant lucario and smashes it with Overheat. Thunderbolt will prevent Gyarados from setting up and the EVs are allocated to survive +1 Waterfall from Gyarados. Shadow Ball for filler while Will-O-Wisp helps against Tyranitar trying to score a Pursuit. Tyranitar can be a bit problematic so Will-O-Wisp will nail it and reduce its attack. With a crippled Tyranitar utilizing pursuit, Lucario has a really easy to time to come in and throw in one Swords Dance.

As for DD Mence, patch up the weakness with 252 Spe to outpace it. If Naive Salamence is making you nervous, go for a Jolly natue on Flygon to check it. If your going for Ice Punch, go for Jolly to KO Impish Gliscor, other than that avoid Ice Punch if your using Adamant. For Starmie go for 136 HP / 156 Def / 216 Spe EV spread to survive +1 Earthquake from Gyarados and counter it with Thunderbolt. This defensive spread helps against some physical threats like Infernape and such. gl with this.

Over Sludge Bomb on Roserade, I suggest running Hidden Power Fire. I suggest Hidden Power Fire over Sludge Bomb because some common switch-ins to Roserade after she uses Sleep Powder and Toxic Spikes hand are Steel-types such as Scizor, Skarmory, and Metagross. With Hidden Power Fire, you can 2HKO Scizor, Metagross, and Skarmory most of the time while hitting other Steel-types such as Forretress, who can shrug off Grass Knot and is immune to Sludge Bomb. In all honesty, Sludge Bomb does not provide much coverage in OU as OU is filled with various Steel-types that are immune to Sludge Bomb and various Pokemon that resist Sludge Bomb as well. Hidden Power Fire is suggested over Hidden Power Ground on this team due to the fact that you can handle the Pokemon Hidden Power Ground is supposed to be hitting; Heatran. Heatran is covered well by your team as you have Blissey, Starmie, and Flygon to deal with it, making Hidden Power Fire the superior choice here.

Now with Starmie, I advise you to use a Timid nature over your current Modest nature. Without a Timid nature, Pokemon such as Gengar, Latias and Infernape will be able to outspeed you and hit Starmie rather hard. For example, Gengar will outspeed Starmie and KO with a STAB Shadow Ball. Latias will hit Starmie extremely hard with Draco Meteor and or Thunderbolt while Infernape will be able to outspeed you and Grass Knot you. With a Timid nature, you will gain the ability to outspeed all the aforementioned threats. Even with the power loss from Modest, Pokemon such as Scizor, Metagross, and Jirachi will not enjoy taking a Life Orb STAB Surf from your Starmie. I usually find Hydro Pump the better choice on LO Starmie as all Tyranitar are 2HKOed by Hydro Pump, and a 32 HP Scizor is OHKOed after Stealth Rock damage. Other Pokemon like Metagross and Jirachi are 2HKOed as well. If you do not like Hydro Pump's accuracy, simply keep Surf, as it is still a rather powerful move.

Now with Lucario, I advise against running Ice Punch. The Pokemon you'll be aiming to hit with Ice Punch (Gliscor) usually run enough Speed EVs to outspeed Lucario and KO with a STAB Earthquake. The only way you'll kill Gliscor is if you catch it on the switch. If you really want to keep Ice Punch, use a Jolly Nature so you can outspeed Impish Gliscor (Jolly varients will still outspeed you). Note that running a Jolly nature means you lose some power, though, you do gain the ability to outrun other Adamant Lucario and tie with Jolly variants. Another option you have is Crunch. This allows you to kill non Choice Scarf Rotom-A in addition to hitting Cresselia, Dusknoir, Celebi, and various others for some serious damage after a Swords Dance boost.

Your Blissey has Ice Punch. I'm assuming that you made a mistake with that and meant to put Ice Beam so I'll leave that alone. If you were serious with Ice Punch on Blissey, then use Ice Beam as Blissey's attack is horrible and will be dealing low damage to Pokemon that are struck with 4x super effective damage from Ice-type attacks. Ice Punch will will deal pathetic damage to everything else. Also, I suggest using a Rotom forme over Dusknoir. Rotom-A has better resistances then Dusknoir allowing it to switch-in on attacks easier. Rotom also has that neat immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes unlike Dusknoir, allowing it to live longer. You could use a Sub Rotom set to abuse Toxic Spikes. Sub Rotom also makes for a rather effective stall breaker as Toxic Spikes makes Rotom's counters easier to handle. You could even use the set suggested above.
