"Li Yu Tiao Long Men" Gyarados Wrath - Peaked #31 in Showdown Ladder! [1892 ELO]

Hey guys , this is my first RMT , I hope you enjoy this very much, I chose Gyarados since in many ground types in OU, and this can sweep, has very good stats and his first ability "intimidate" helps a lot to resist physical hits, sorry for mistakes , English isn't my native language , I'm Chilean , thanks.

Item: Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate --> Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 Defense
Adamant Nature
Moveset : Waterfall - EQ - Ice Fang - Dragon Dance

Gyarados can make enough trouble against opponents, taking advantage when it comes down attack, try to put it against physical Pokemons and I can also make a dragon dance satisfactorily and to receive less damage (unless my opponent change, which it is even better).

Set Explanation:

Waterfall: I use this because is the most powerful physical water attack in gyarados with 100% in accuracy (I hate aqua tail) and have a good chance for flinch the foe and hit with STAB.
Earthquake: Gyarados is weak 4x to electric moves , EQ help to kill that annoying pokemon's , and with Mold Breaker i can kill Rotom-W , without MB , that become a dangerous threat.
Ice Fang: I love this move , Gyarados become weak vs dragon pokemons , but with ice fang can 1HKO many dragons , and help to defeat the grass pokemons , like Venusaur-Mega (Mold Breaker make all<3) or Thundurus.
Dragon Dance: The main move in the set , boost the atk and speed for 1,5 , with 1 DD Gyarados outspeed many pokemons in OU , and and causes the attack is brutal and probably kill everything that gets in front , but be careful when make this move , because Foul Play make many damage to me and Mandibuzz wall very well (Thanks Dark type for resist foul play).

breloom_simplism_wallpaper_by_stonah-d4cvgaz.png

Item: Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs:252 Atk /252 Speed/4 Defense
Jolly Nature
Moveset: Mach Punch -Spore - Bullet Seed - Rock Tomb

this guy can kill many Pokemon that make you gyarados problems, and can also make some turns sleeping win the opponent, in most of my games, Breloom pokemon take down a minimum overall hits and a significant amount more important is that the low speed rock tomb. Sometimes this pokemon eats the Sleep Powder or Spore.

Set Explanation:

Mach Punch: Its simple , i have priority bracket +1 and Breloom can quickly kill the opponent without taking damage.
Spore: The best move for sleep , don't fail (except by overcoat , insomnia and grass pokemons) i can win many turns or a turn with sleep my opponent , with that I can damage more times with this guy. <3
Bullet Seed: Simple move , can break the focus sash and technician pump the power (Ussualy Rotom-W hate this).
Rock Tomb:For kill threats like (BAN ME PLEASE)flame Talonflame or Charizard , and helps me to be faster compared to rival.

aegislash_shield_mode_by_dashinghero-d6rdlxl.png

Item: Spooky Plate
Ability: Stance Change
EVs:252 HP/252 SpA/4 Atk
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Speed ( For battles vs other Aegislash )
Moveset: Sacred Sword - Shadow Ball - Shadow Sneak - King's Shield

This is where the best pokemon Kalos becomes present, having one of the best bases stats, can be offensive and also defense, the spooky plate sincerely find it's the best item you can have this pokemon since I power two movements important, coupled with STAB and the amount of damage that reaches do, you can kill many Pokemon and helps to chansey not hit with fighting type attacks (unless they have Scrappy).

Set Explanation:

Sacred Sword: Ghost moves can't hit Normal types , for that i use sacred sword , and can make more damage to heatran or Dark monsters like Ttar or Bisharp , i need good predictions vs Bisharp because is the principal counter for Aegislash.
Shadow Ball: Its the main movement with which I attack, you can do a lot of damage to kill the contrary.
Shadow Sneak : This helps me sometimes I should just stick to kill the opponent quickly, usually used after shadow ball for the KO.
King's Shield: I love this move , make the change of the form and can reduce the Attack of the foe by 2 levels.

chansey.jpg

Item: Eviolite (So OP)
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 76 HP/220 Def/212 SpDef (Resist an Close Combat for Terrakion with this spread)
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk (Fuck the Foul Play<3)
Moveset: Soft Boiled - Thunder Wave - Stealth Rock - Seismic Toss

Definitely one of the best walls in the game, especially for its HP, which can also retrieve a movement, absorbs natural cure states and disappear, it is also my hazzard setter, being that most of the Pokemon using Defog have a low attack or use SpAtk (as Zapdos and Togekiss), it helps to paralyze my other Pokémon to attack first or also able to abuse seismic toss and paste 100 always comes first, and when you have low life, use soft boiled before taking damage, is the pokemon with the most important function of team.

Set Explanation:

SoftBoiled: For recover the HP and take many turns in the field.
Thunder Wave: For outspeed many things and stall. <3
Stealth Rock: is something that almost every team needs , talonflame besides that is a big problem, this helps stop some.
Seismic Toss: Is Chansey's only way of dealing good damage.

Item: Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP /128 Def /24SpA /108 Spd (Thanks for the spread Nog)
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
Moveset: Thunderbolt - Heat Wave - Defog - Roost

One of the best Pokemon to use defog, besides having pressure and makes the opponent attack use two PP.
Helps stop mega Pinsir, Gyarados, Talonflame, etc ...
Paste fairly well and is one of my favorite Pokemon to whether they earned a place in the team.

Set Explanation:

Thunderbolt: Hit with STAB and kill many threats for the team like pinsir (Yes , i hate pinsir).
Heat Wave: This help me for kill Ferrothorn's , Scizor , Breloom or other annoying pokes.
Defog: To be safe from hazards, because that does not break the sash focus on gyarados Breloom or no damage to come, as the most common way to stop it is with priority moves.
Roost: For stall with HP and loose the flying weakness.

landorus.jpg

Item: Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA/252 Speed/ 4 Defense
IVs: 0 Atk
Timid Nature
Moveset: Earth Power - Psychic -Calm Mind - Focus Miss Blast

This thing is amazing. It helps me beat Baton Pass and Stall routinely. In special the stall , because can kill the most common pokes here , only powerful and speed pokemons stop this guy

Set Explanation:
Earth Power: Kill many threat of the team and hit with STAB
Psychic:For kill the annoying Fighting pokes like Breloom or Venusaur-M
Calm Mind:to resist powerful special moves, also when the opponent switches to a pokemon, I can take advantage of making a boost
Focus Blast: For kill Air Balloon Steel Pokemons , and don't use 2 turns.
This thing can kill the Stall Walls like Skarmory and Chansey.

Main Threats:
Venusaur-M:
I kill this with MB Gyarados and Landorus.
Charizard-Mega-X: Its very dangerous vs many team , but i can stop that with breloom , gyarados can slow the atk or landorus kill.
Garchomp: Gyarados can stop , Im very careful when see that
BandNite: Aegislash KS stop this :P

If I forget any threat please let me know, it would be appreciated much

Conclusion:
In conclusion, this team is the best :P

Would you mind explaining Zapdos' spread to me? With that spread, you gain a little bit of power and a lot of speed, and in exchange your bulk drops dramatically. That spread can be 2HKO'd by Mega Pinsir, which is a little terrifying. Also, just a nitpick, but Zapdos should actually run 252 HP EVs instead of 248. I know 248 is a Stealth Rock number, but 252 EVs with 90 Base HP is a Leftovers number, which is far more important for a Pokemon that stays in for more than two turns, typically.

Also, I'd recommend running 216 Speed EVs on Gyrarados instead of 252. Put the extra EVs into HP for a little more bulk. My reasoning is that 216 EVs, Adamant, is what you need to outspeed Greninja at +1.
Now that I think about it, you actually wall all non HP Grass variants. Outspeeding and OHKOing at +1 is nice, but I guess it isn't that necessary. There's nothing faster than Greninja that you can outspeed, so the next step would be Torn-T. You need 212 EV's for that. But Zapdos walls Torn-T, so that isn't even an issue. The next step is Raikou, Starmie, and Mega Houndoom, which require 172 EVs. But, they're so rare, and you actually wall the latter two. Plus, Chansey takes care of Raikou. The next step would be Thundurus-I, but it has Twave, so it really isn't worth it. The only Pokemon you really need to be able to outspeed at +1 is Gengar, so I'd actually recommend 144 Speed EVs. This leaves you with 108 EVs, which will allow you to build off of its fantastic 95 / 109 / 130 bulky.

Overall pretty sweet team.

First of all, thanks for the rate bro.

regarding zapdos think 24 + in SpA Okay, that always kills the Pinsir-mega, here are the calcs, this set gave me Nog a while ago and I've used it has performed very well, the truth is that with that speed let outspeed Gyarados, Dragonite or other DD users (Except the Megazard-X)

24 + SpA vs Zapdos Thunderbolt. 0 HP / 4 SpD Mega Pinsir: 288-338 (106.2 - 124.7%) - guaranteed OHKO

and with respect to speed, I'll try and tell me

now playing the part of Gyarados, i use the 252 for outspeed Dragonites, ussualy its adamant dragonite and gyarados That can kill after Stealth Rock, I still try to use 216 speed

Now, chansey is a very good pokemon which helps me in almost every game (Except with a Monoteam Fighting LOL), in most of the games I make the prediction of thunder wave to outspeed other pokemons, or when they change by a ghost to change and I do not PP stall.

Thanks for suggestions bro, really appreciate that

No problem. Of course, they're just suggestions I'd run if it were my team. But a) it's your team, and b) everyone plays differently, so you certainly don't have to implement them.

Btw the alternate spread for Zapdos is:
Defensive
########
name: Defensive
move 1: Thunderbolt
move 2: Roost
move 3: Defog
move 4: Heat Wave / Toxic / U-turn
ability: Pressure
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 68 SpA / 20 Spe
nature: Bold
This spread is much more bulky, still has enough power to KO Pinsir, and outspeeds Aegislash. Take your pick! (But definitely fix the HP).

:D
