Liamo's 5th Gen Team (DW OU)
Some people like me did not want to move over to 5th Gen but I will have to sometime so why not now. I have not found any major problems with this teams but hopefully someone else will (or not). I'm not sure if you are supposed to use the English names but I used the Japanese names.
Let's get started.
Team Building Process:
When i started building my team I really wanted to include a Pokémon that caught my eye: Genosekuto. After looking at its stats and move set i thought it would function well as a lead so that’s were I put it.
After looking through the initial tiers on Smogon i was delighted to a big fat OU beside Latios name. I was going to run Soul Dew on Latios but it was banned so i decided to run Choice Specs Latios for a powerful switch in.
I decided I would need a Doryuuzu counter on my team and the best one that showed up was Azumarill. CB HP Aqua Jet OHKO's Doryuuzu and every team needs a Pokémon with priority. Azumarill also gives me a Fire resist.
I realised that with Latios using Draco Meteor so often a lot of Steels such as Scizor and Nattorei would be switching in and there is no better check to them than Magnezone. Magnezone easily KO's them and it can also set up a substitute on them too.
How could I not consider Doryuuzu on my 5th gen team? He has good Speed and great Attack and brilliant Attacking coverage.
I was thinking off running Tyranitar and Hippowdon in this slot but I decided a revenge killer. After some research I come across Ditto. With its new ability Eccentric Ditto is the best revenge killer ever made.
Blissey and Conkledurr were causing me problems so I took some advice off Kale and replaced Doryuuzu with Poison Heal Gliscor to help me deal with these Pokes.
Genosekuto @ Focus Sash

Genosekuto is an amazing lead and may become Uber sometime. Steel/Bug is an amazing typing because it resists many attacks. Focus Sash is for beating or Genosekutos that run LO or Lefties. Download is so i get a (hopefully) Sp.Atk boost. Max Speed and Sp.Atk for more power and to out speed other leads. Flamethrower is for Serperior leads and other Grass or Steel leads such as Bronzong. Thunderbolt is for Politoed leads. Ice beam is for Gliscor, Hippowdon and Dragon leads. Bug Buzz is for mandatory STAB and hurts Azelf a lot. Modest is for max power but I may run Timid if it allows me to out speed a certain Poke.
Latios (M) @ Choice Specs

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Sp.Atk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

I could not believe it when I saw that Latios was still OU. It has brilliant Sp.Atk, Spd and a Draco Meteor that can nearly OHKO any Pokémon that does not resist it. Choice Specs is maximum power and after a Draco Meteor or two I will be switching out any way. The Ev's are for max power and speed. Dragon Pulse is there in case i need to sweep and not lose any Sp.Atk. Thunder and Surf and just there for coverage. I may switch Thunder for Thunderbolt because Rain will be less common.
Azumarill (M) @ Choice Band

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -Sp.Atk)
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Ice Punch
- Superpower
CB Azumarill is a great revenge killer and physical attacker. With Huge Power and CB Azumarill hits 624 Attack. With this Ev set Azumarill can be a strong physical attacker and a bulky water at the same time. Adamant is for max power. Aqua Jet is for priority and I think it OHKO's Doryuuzu (Excadrill).Waterfall is a more powerful option if i don't need to out speed the other Pokémon. Ice Punch is for coverage and in case I predict and Dragon or other switch in. Superpower is also for coverage and I can hit Nattorei Super Effectively with it.
Magnezone @ Leftovers

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Sp.Atk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Substitute
Magnezone is a perfect partner with Latios. Latios draws in Nattorei and Skarmory and other Steel types and Magnezone traps and KO's them. Max Speed and Sp.Atk for a standard sweeper set. Timid to give me max speed. Thunderbolt is for mandatory STAB is my strongest move most of the time. Flash Cannon is there for STAB and coverage. HP Fire is used to OHKO Nattorei and Scizor. I like to use Substitute because I can set up on a lot of the Pokes that I switch into.
Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spd
Jolly (+Spd, -Sp.Atk)
-Earthquake
-Acrobat
-Fling
-Protect
Poison Heal Gliscor is great Pokemon to have on my team. It provides great resistances to Thunder Wave and Toxic. Leftovers and Poison Heal makes me gain 1/8th of my health each turn. Earthquake is my main Attack and gets STAB. After I use Fling to get rid of my Toxic Orb Acrobat's power becomes 165(with STAB) with is more powerful that Earthquake (150 with STAB). Protect means i am guaranteed to get Poisoned and is also useful for Scouting and getting extra recovery.
Ditto @ Choice Scarf

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Sp.Def / 252 Def
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

Ditto is probably the one of my favourite Pokes this Gen. With CS Ditto out speeds any Pokémon it switches into because of Eccentric. Ditto gains the boosts of the Poke it switches into as well. The Ev's you give Ditto don't really matter because it gets the stats of the Pokémon it switches into and because of all these amazing ability’s and quirks Ditto is the best revenge killer this gen.
