Mienshao @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Poison Jab

Life Orb Mienshao has enjoyed great usage as one of NU's best offensive wallbreakers due to its wide array of coverage options to heavily damage the likes of Xatu and Sylveon while being a very potent pivot. U-turn + Regenerator gives it great staying power along with allowing it to preserve momentum that would otherwise be lost in predicting a switch incorrectly. Mienshao struggles with defensive Pokemon that can punish its U-turn with their ability such as Talonflame and Vileplume, making the likes of Starmie and Tyrantrum great partners. Pokemon such as Vaporeon and Diancie also serve as great partners due to their bulk alongside Heal Bell and Stealth Rock support, respectively, to facilitate Mienshao's wallbreaking.

reads too much like something I'd read on the dex; as the introduction thread states, do not go into detail about what every single move in the set does. that is not the point of spotlights.

Sylveon is not that notable of a partner; Wish is irrelevant for the most part because a) Regenerator and b) you can hardly ever get safe passes to Mienshao. I guess the cleric part is notable for removing status induced by Talonflame's Flame Body and Vileplume's Effect Spore, but at that point mention Vaporeon and even Diancie alongside Sylveon

Poison Jab's sentence is awkward because you need significant chip damage to KO Sylveon straight up; it's there because you 2HKO Sylveon and Comfey, so they aren't really safe switch-ins

the part about U-turn + Regenerator is __fine__ but "keep up momentum" is overly vague and doesn't tell the reader anything important; be more specific

The combination of U-Turn + Regenerator gives it great staying power along with allowing it to switch out to a partner that can better handle one of its checks if the situation arises.
I mean, yeah. I think the greater idea here is you preserve momentum that could otherwise be lost by mispredicting a switch and going for a coverage attack (in addition to the point about staying power).

The points about Knock Off and Poison Jab are useless and should be removed. Fit specific checks that you draw in and heavily damage into your first sentence; that's where you mentioned Mienshao's coverage originally.
