Hi! Some of you may know me, some of you may not; I'll introduce myself either way. My name is Lily, and I'm a UU community member who likes to ladder up with unconventional things that match up well vs the current meta.
Recently, I've been making a bunch of teams in an effort to beat things like Toxtricity, Primarina etc. and a few days ago, I stumbled upon a goldmine. That goldmine is none other than Togedemaru.
Without further ado, here is my RMT.

I thought Togedemaru had a good, quantifiable niche, so I decided to go with it as a starting point. It counters threats like Toxtricity and Heliolisk and acts as a soft check to Primarina, so I wanted teammates that could take advantage of that.

Galarian Weezing was just a natural fit after this because of its great defensive synergy with Togedemaru and the fact that it learned Toxic Spikes. I really wanted that hazard on this team because I had a feeling Togedemaru's set would make games quite long and drawn out, so Toxic Spikes would give me an advantage in those. It also acts as the team's best switchin to annoying Pokemon like Incineroar.

Milotic was the next member of my team because I really needed a Fire resist and a Water resist so that Primarina couldn't just drop Hydros on me for free. It acts as a good check to Pokemon like Mamoswine and Cobalion in a pinch, too, and is just generally good at sitting on things and racking up poison damage. It also appreciates Weezing's ability to remove status for it.

No team's complete without a Noivern, right? I firmly believe this thing to be the best Pokemon in the tier right now. I chose it as my defogger because it acted as a better answer to the rising Stealth Rock Cobalion and provided a better Ground immunity vs Haxorus. It is also quite good at revenge killing threats such as Celebi.

I chose to run a Celebi of my own as a Stealth Rock setter. Unfortunately in testing, it sucked, so I stopped using it, but it was here originally.

I wanted a bulky wincon so that the team had a clearer path to victory, and Primarina easily checked that box. I chose to run a unique Liquid Voice + Snore set because it's able to run pseudo-RestTalk while keeping both of its lethal STAB moves, and is more reliable than Sleep Talk anyway.

Finally, I chose to change Celebi to Bronzong. It still acts as a secondary Psychic resist and doesn't really overlap weaknesses with Togedemaru other than Fire, which I deal with adequately. Its defensive presence and ability to spread Toxic was a lot more appreciated by the team than what Celebi brought.

And that's the team!

Eggstatic (Togedemaru) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 HP / 248 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Spiky Shield
- Iron Head
- U-turn
Fitting in with the song of choice, Eggstatic is my Togedemaru, and it's the star of the show. Electric/Steel typing allows it to very easily switch into a myriad of our common special attackers, like Toxtricity, Noivern, Roserade, Primarina (watch out for Hydro Pump!) and more. Togedemaru was the Pokemon I originally chose to build the team around - not only is it one of my favourite Pokemon in general, but I thought its combination of typing and ability would allow it to match up well vs common metagame threats, and I was right. Wish and Spiky Shield allow for reliable recovery. Wish can also be used to heal up the rest of the team, which is appreciated by some following members, and Spiky Shield allows for reliable chip damage on many physical attackers before pivoting out on them, such as Incineroar and Machamp. U-turn allows it to pivot into my appropriate answers to Pokemon such as Toxtricity, and the 8 Speed EVs allow it to outspeed Sirfetch'd.
Really cool Pokemon overall and a great addition to the team and the tier.

Purity (Weezing-Galar) (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 96 Def / 116 SpA / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Strange Steam
- Toxic Spikes
- Pain Split
- Aromatherapy
Purity was added as my team's Ground immunity; it has excellent defensive synergy with Togedemaru, too. Weezing resists Fighting and Ground for my rat, while it resists Psychic and Steel in return, giving Weezing a lot more room to breathe. Toxic Spikes pair well with Togedemaru because it tends to sit on things for a long time and stall them out with Protect recovery, and Aromatherapy allows for it to rid the team of annoying status, which is particularly nice for the team's next member. The EVs look complex, but in reality it's a simple spread made by Estarossa - the Speed allows you to outspeed Umbreon, and the Special Attack allows you to OHKO Haxorus with Strange Steam. Its great defensive presence made it a natural fit for the team.

Unholy (Milotic) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Haze
- Recover
Unholy, my Milotic, was added after this because I was starting to look very weak to Fire-types and Water-types. Acting as a strong resist for both types while also having its weaknesses easily covered by Togedemaru made it a great fit. I opted for a physically defensive spread to better check threats such as Mamoswine, Cobalion and Haxorus, while still easily handling Primarina and Inteleon. I opted to not run Toxic on this set; Celebi and Roserade are extremely common and like to switch in on you anyway, so Toxic really doesn't make any progress - plus, I have other spreaders of the status, so Ice Beam is fine and improves the Noivern and Haxorus matchup while also stinging incoming Grass-types and Heliolisk.

Echo (Noivern) (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Defog
- Roost
There really is never a bad time to have this thing on a team, huh? My Noivern, Echo, acts as the team's hazard control and switches into many common threats such as Lucario, Cobalion and Centiskorch. Its unresisted coverage gives it a satisfactory matchup vs offense. It is easily able to Defog on Cobalion, a Stealth Rock setter that is rising in popularity, and Golisopod, a common spiker, as well as some others. It also gives the team a good Speed tier and a "real" Ground immunity - important as it can force trades vs opposing Haxorus by being truly immune to Earthquake, unlike my Levitaters. It's just an overall good, splashable Pokemon that no team should ever pass up without good reason.

Trigger (Bronzong) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Protect
- Psychic
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
Trigger acts as a decent Stealth Rock setter for the team and also spreads Toxic. It's also a good backup Fairy resist, which is important as Togedemaru can often struggle if it's pressured too much by something like a Primarina + Gardevoir build, and is good at keeping rocks up vs something like Noivern. It's a solid enough answer to Pokemon like Galarian Weezing, which the team can otherwise struggle to deal with, and also acts as Trick fodder bc I'm not tryna get my Togedemaru to hold specs lmao. It's not perfect, but it ticks the boxes I needed. I choose to use Protect to scout Choiced mons such as Primarina and Toxtricity - you could opt for something like Heavy Slam but I find it's unneeded.

Orcastra (Primarina) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Liquid Voice
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Snore
- Rest
Finally we have Orcastra, and no I will not be apologising for that pun. Primarina acts as the team's main wincon with a set that I would describe as... unconventional, yet incredibly fun and effective. Seriously, the amount of times this set has just 6-0d people is incredible. A physically defensive spread allows it to act as a decent answer to Pokemon like Incineroar, non-Life Orb Mamoswine, Doublade and Haxorus, while retaining the special bulk needed to pivot into Pokemon such as Noivern and Milotic. Snore is what makes this set unique; it gets STAB due to Liquid Voice and surprises many Pokemon that would try to take advantage of your Rest turns like Doublade. It is a very effective sweeper and a really fun Pokemon to use, sorry Adaam.

Overall, this is a very effective and fun team. I'm really happy with how it turned out and I'm glad that I could make it work. It's very anti-meta and likely won't age well, but that's fine with me. I'm just glad I could prove the worth of Togedemaru. Have fun rating, and thank you for reading! <3
