Link's 2nd attempt at UU

Taking a break from the Dragonite Sweep team, this team works reasonably well in UU, boasting an 11-1 record so far, and I am still testing for more.

Kabutops (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Battle Armor
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Rock Slide
- Brick Break
- Waterfall

A very different lead. Swift Swim is not needed, as there is no Rain Dance support, though I might switch in case of Electrode leads. Rock Slide over Stone Edge for accuracy, Brick Break to hurt normal types who function as leads (Persian, I hate you so) and Miltank, who can curse and wall this team rather effectively. Aerial Ace is to kill Fighting type leads, such as Primeape, who Aerial Ace 2HKO's, while I just survive his attack.
---
Drapion (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Battle Armor
EVs: 252 HP/6 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Knock Off
- Toxic Spikes
- Whirlwind

The defensive wall for my team, and support using Knock Off and Toxic Spikes. I know, this is another earthquake weak, but the team handles common Earthquake users in UU pretty well.
---
Venomoth (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Tinted Lens
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Bug Buzz
- Psychic
- Sleep Powder
- Sludge Bomb

The revenge killer for my team. Modest because choice scarf is already boosting my speed. Not sure if Sludge Bomb is needed, as Hidden Power might do more to help the team. Any advice?
---
Claydol @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/144 Def/114 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Shadow Ball
- Rapid Spin

The spinner for my team, and sets up Stealth Rocks. I am tempted occasionally to swap Earth Power for Explosion and a Relaxed Nature, but this seems to work better.
---
Venusaur (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP/6 Spd/252 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Sleep Powder
- Leech Seed
- Energy Ball
- Sludge Bomb

The special wall for my team, and stops water types in UU in their tracks. Also Sludge Bomb hits opposing grass types. Sleep Powder for statusing those flying types who avoid Toxic Spikes.
---
Manectric (M) @ Petaya Berry
Ability: Static
EVs: 36 HP/220 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

The final sweepr for my team. I used Sub + Petaya to help in the sweep, as a +1 Flamethrower OHKO's Steelix (who is 2HKO otherwise) and boosts the rest of his moves. Substitute also helps to stop those pokemon with Priority moves in UU (Hitmontop/ Swellow.)

Any advice would be nice. I cant post a very good threat list, as I am not entirely sure of all the threat so of UU. I know an opposing Drapion could hurt quite a bit (I am talking about the Sword Dancing set.) I know Rapidash has given me trouble, and Steelix is mildly annoying, but other than that I havent hit any big snags. Will continue to test and post more details as I go further.

I'll be honest and say that I don't play that much UU, but if I had to throw in my two cents here, I'd switch your Manectric's strategy to the Life Orb set w/ Crunch. I really doubt Grumpig and Hypno would stay in to Drapion, but this'll totally catch them off guard.

With Stealth Rock support, Crunch has a great chance at a 2HKO on both. Your Claydol just happens to have that, so you're all set! =D

You can use either HP Grass or Sub with the LO set if you want, but Sub and LO damage will rack up quickly.

I hope I helped! :D

First, for your Kabutops' nature and EVs... If you want to just outspeed +speed 125s (i.e. swellow), you can just use Adamant and only 240 Speed EVs will be required. Of course Swellow's STAB moves can't hurt Kabutops much anyway, so if you want to just outspeed +speed 115s (e.g. Persian), only 184 speed EVs will be required with adamant nature. If you want to outspeed Adamant Scarfed Primeape (i.e. the fastest fighting pokemon in UU) though, then even Jolly and 252 Speed EVs won't outspeed it. BUT, if you want to outspeed Adamant Scarfed Hitmonlee, then you can use Jolly with 208 speed assuming I did my calculations correctly, but yah, you don't need jolly and max speed. O yah, if you want to outspeed +Speed Electrode (i.e. the fastest unscarfed pokemon in UU), you'd need Jolly and 228 Speed EVs, but err, yah, it's not like you can OHKO Electrode leads anyway since they're sashed, and an electrode lead might not want to set up its rain dance when they see your Kabutops, so yah, I wouldn't bother doing that. Personally I'd just make it fast enough to outspeed +Speed Persian so you can hit harder (with Adamant) and have more EVs in HP/Defenses.

For Venomoth, Sludge Bomb isn't extremely useful in terms of coverage. I.e. it's only super effective on grass types, and it is only neutral on grass/poison types, and Bug Buzz is already super effective on non-poison grass types. Off the top of my head, I think the only pokemon Sludge Bomb covers (better than Bug Buzz) are Jumpluff and Tropius, in which case HP Ice covers those 2 better, and more importantly it covers Altaria. Alternatively you can also use Energy Ball (or Giga Drain if you fancy recovery) for Water/Ground types that might not be expecting it. HP Ground/Fighting for Steel/Rock or Golem is also ok (but those aren't that common anyway). Again, you don't need max speed unless you just want to speed tie with other modest scarfed Venomoths also running max speed.
