I can verify that this is complete. Nintendo/Gamefreak deliberately left out certain countries, mostly European microstates (Liechtenstein, San Marino, etc.) and certain Middle Eastern nations (Iran, Saudi Arabia). Spellings of placenames reflect the in-game text as opposed to any standard naming conventions, and they tend to favor the placenames in whatever the local language is rather than English - take a gander at those Polish names to see what I mean.

Anyways, this was a bitch to compile (navigating through the registration list was very cumbersome, and it took two hours to get the Coal Badge) but fun and rewarding nonetheless. Enjoy.

When i used the GTS, i saw it alot like pokemon itself.

I have all four Hokkaido's, 37 states, 3 german territories, and my friend in beijing.

Wait, how did you get this list?

I compiled it the hard way: going through the list of countries one by one and denoting if they did not have subcategories or not. For those that did have them, I listed them all out in the spelling used in the game.

The navigation of the list is horrendously slow, it gives you a spiel every time you try to access the list about how this information can be relayed to strangers over the Nintendo WFC. There was no way to skip this and just go to the list. Also, when you selected a country without any subcategories and did not give confirmation, it would take you back to the main menu where you would have to read the whole strangers-over-WiFi thing again to reach the list.

I was also very careful to make sure I didn't confirm my location since that would bar me access to the list (I would need to waste two more hours getting the Coal Badge on a new file to access it again).

The list must have taken at least two hours to compile, and I did some final checks on the Chinese and Polish names to verify that they were correct. Typing Polish is perhaps one of the most bothersome things I have ever had to do on a computer.

This must have taken atleast 2 hours to do.

That's about right for the list itself; getting the Badge was another 2 hours so this was safely a good 4-hour endeavor.

If only this data was recorded on each Pokemon, so when looking at the summary for your traded Pokes you could see its land of actual origin.

Then again they didn't even bother to retain where in Kanto/Hoenn/Orre you caught PP pokes so yeah.
