Hey Smogon. I'm Emidox and thanks for currently viewing this thread. I've just recently started Little Cup and found it very fun. Playing little cup seemed weird at first with all the NFE's. I'm glad I started playing Little Cup. Feel free to criticize about the pokemon and sets of the pokemon. I used some standard sets for the team. Thank you for your help!

The Team

MissyD (Misdreaveus) @ Eviolite [/SIZE]
Trait: Levitate
Evs: 36 HP / 40 Def / 80 SpA / 80 SpD / 240 Spe
Timid Nature
-Icy Wind
-Shadow Ball
-Destiny Bond
-Will-O-Wisp
Quote:
Misdreavus was a natural choice. I use it as a Bulky Kamikaze and its natural high speed allows me to burn leads like Aipom, Meowth, and the ever so common Mienfoo, if not scarfed. Icy wind as a coverage move seemed weird, but this allows my Misdreavus lower speed and then OkOh with Shadow Ball against an opposing Misdreavus. Destiny Bond with Will-O-Wisp usually counters Pawnaird even with Swords Dance and takes Pawnaird down with it, thus Bulky Kamikaze.

DerpLifter (Timburr) @ Eviolite
Trait: Guts
Evs 76 HP/196 Atk/236 SDef
Careful Nature
-Drain Punch
-Mach Punch
-Pay Back
-Bulk Up
Quote:
Of all the pokemon in my team, this guy is my favorite he makes status a friend due to guts. I just use bulk up a few times and then mach punch. Drain Punch is for restoring HP after the turns used for bulk up. Payback for coverage against ghost types. With that amazing coverage I can sweep teams with enough bulk ups. Timburr is absolutely amazing with that Attack and the ability Guts makes its power even more feared.

177.png

Magic Birdie (Natu) Eviolite
Trait: Magic Bounce
Evs: 196 HP / 76 Def / 200 Spe
Timid Nature
-Feather Dance
-Psychic
-Roost
-Heat Wave
Quote:
I just love Natu and Magic bounce was a godsend to Natu. When Timburr somehow dies, I have no else to absorb status happily and this is where to Natu comes in it reflects all status and hazards which is great. Feather Dance is to lower Physical Attackers. Psychic is for stab to hit hard and roost is for healing which comes in handy for keeping Natu a little longer. Heat wave is just for coverage for steel types like Bronzor, which is very handy.

198.png

Fluke (Murkrow) @ Eviolite
Trait: Prankster
Evs: 36 HP/236 Atk/20 Def/20 SDef/188 Spd
Jolly Nature
-Sucker Punch
-Brave Bird
-Substitute
-Roost
Quote:
As always Murkrow was always opped as overpowered. Instead using all the coverage Mixkrow has this set exploits Murkrow with duo stabs and 3 priority moves with a powerful brave bird. Sucker Punch is my favorite in this set and its even more effective behind a substitute.

228.png

Guard Dog (Houndour) Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
Evs: 36 Atk / 200 SpA / 236 Spe
Mild Nature
-Dark Pulse
-Hidden Power (Grass)
-Fire Blast
-Pursut
Houndour is actually the newest member in my team and I'm still testing him out, so far giving it choice scarf lets it outspeed scarfed snover and OhKo it. It's ability Flash Fire is great letting it absorb Flare Blitz from Ponyta and Darumaka which just wrecks my team.

597.png

Poke (Ferroseed) Eviolite
Trait: Iron Barbs
Evs: 84 HP/36 Atk/188 Def/ 148 SDef
Impish Nature
-Leech Seed
-Protect
-Thunder Wave
-Gyro Ball
This guy is my wall and can slowly regain HP by leech seed and protect. Most people would put steath rock on ferroseed, but I have natu to do that job to me.

Thank you for your suggestions.

First of all, you should be posting this in the RMT thread(unless I am very much mistaken), and second of all, you can't just chuck 252 evs in a stat in LC, as the EVs work differently at lvl 5 than lvl 100. You're probably wasting a ton of EVs on some of your mons. Check the analyses for your mons to learn their optimal EV spreads!

Welcome to Smogon!

Hi, welcome to smogon! I've moved your thread to the appropriate section (the RMT section).

As SpecsX said, your current EVs for many of your Pokemon aren't optimal. You can check the analyses onsite for better spreads for Natu and Houndour.

I can't really rate this team before you finish the OP, but one thing I would do is remove Icy Wind from Misdreavus. It's a little redundant with Destiny Bond, so perhaps it would be better to run Hidden Power Fighting over it instead (beware that this means you'll have to change your EV spread though). Even Thunderbolt could work, as it hits Staryu and Murkrow.

Hi, you should definitely add some more to your descriptions to fit the RMT requirement so that this thread doesn't get potentially locked.

First thing off the bat that I notice is that you're kind of weak to Drilburr and Snover. Teams with Drilburr can commonly use the SandMag strategy and by playing Ferroseed carelessly you could open yourself up easily to a Swords Dance Drilburr or even just an All-Out attacker set. In Snover's case you don't have too much to reliably keep coming in and taking Blizzards as Houndour gets 2HKOed after Stealth Rock and while Ferroseed gets 3HKOed and is forced to go for the Thunder Wave or Gyro Ball since Leech Seed doesn't affect Snover. This means that Ferroseed has extremely limited recovery (most likely won't be able to recover at all) while attempting to take Snover's hits. Speaking of Stealth Rock your team really needs it and having Natu by itself does not mean you can guarantee that you can even reflect hazards back to your opponent's side. In my opinion this team can be fixed up by changing your Ferroseed and Missy set, replacing Natu, and possibly changing Houndour for Scarf Porygon. A more conventional Misdreavus set packing HP Fighting might help against Magnemite, while having Stealth Rock on Ferroseed gives support to Timburr and Murkrow to take down threats. A Scarf Porygon would be really useful in taking down the Sand teams that will give you so much trouble otherwise thanks to Porygon's Trace ability being able to copy Drilbur's Sand Rush. Last but not least Chinchou is a good fit for your team that can struggle against Ponyta and Houndour, not to mention give you an additional status absorber other than Timburr.

TL;DR:
Missy -> Fix Set
Ferroseed -> Change Set
Scarf Houndour -> Scarf Porygon
Natu -> Specially Defensive Chinchou

Misdreavus (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 36 HP / 120 Def / 80 SDef / 240 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

A more traditional set with great coverage and utility in WoW and Pain Split. This Misdreavus set is build to last and check or counter what it needs to for as long as possible unlike your previous set that utilized Destiny Bond.

597.gif

Ferroseed (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 84 HP / 36 Atk / 188 Def / 148 SDef / 36 Spe
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Spikes / Thunder Wave
- Bullet Seed

Stealth Rock is very important for every team and yours is no exception. Only move changed is Bullet Seed > Gyro Ball to deal with bulky Water-types such as Staryu or Chinchou to wear them down very quickly alongside Leech Seed. Thunder Wave is very good for targeting possible switches into Ferroseed including Fire-type or Fighting-type Pokemon, but your team will have Missy, Murkrow, and Chinchou to handle them so having the free slot for Spikes is excellent.

137.gif

Porygon @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Trace
EVs: 76 HP / 236 SAtk / 196 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Tri Attack
- Shadow Ball
- Ice Beam
- Trick

With Trace it can copy a Drilbur's Sand Rush and deal massive damage to the common Sand teams in the metagame. Tri Attack is great STAB and Shadow Ball hits he ever so common Misdreavus. Trick is great when Porygon doesn't need to use its Choice Scarf and crippling a wall and stealing their beloved Eviolite is more important.

170.gif

Chinchou (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 76 HP / 132 Def / 232 SDef / 60 Spe
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Scald
- Discharge / Heal Bell (Use Discharge if you decide to use Spikes over TWave on Ferroseed)

Chinchou is extremely bulky and can take care of the Fire-type Pokemon that give you trouble such as Ponyta and Houndour without breaking a sweat. Water and Electric have very good coverage together and both Scald and Discharge have an awesome 30% chance to inflict a status. If you do decide to use TWave on Ferrsoeed, Heal Bell is a great option to make Rest + Sleep Talk more reliable and to cure status from the rest of your team.

Hope I helped and have fun!
