Living in the 4th Generation

I built this team just because I was bored. Don't start thinking I built it on any specific premise.

This team is an entry-hazard abuser. I used Feraligatr in this team as my main offensive core because he is, with a Swords dance boost, a wonderful way of forcing out things like Gyarados and Vaporeon. With the swords dance gained from the turn the opponent uses to switch Gyarados or Vaporeon, Feraligatr should theoretically be able to handle most of what comes around with either Aqua Jet, Waterfall, or Return. That's what I think.

Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd,-SpAtk)
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn

I like Gliscor because he is pretty reliable at setting up Stealth Rock at the beginning. If I KNOW that I'm going to be facing a Taunt or Trick Lead, I can rely on U-Turn to switch to a sweeper that shouldn't mind a Taunt too much.

I usually U-Turn to Crobat, Flygon, or Infernape. Why? They have nothing but offensive moves. Also, they are able to defend against most types (except Psychic and Ice), so they can soak up an attack and strike back with something else. If needs be, they ALSO have U-Turn.

Feraligatr (M) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd,-SpAtk)
- Aqua Jet
- Return
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall

Truth be told, I simply used a randomizer and selected a pokemon from 1-493, and I got Feraligatr. Don't ask.

I figured that Feraligatr doesn't have enough sheer power to take down most pokemon, even with a Swords Dance. So, entry hazard abuse it is! Once entry hazards dent the opponent, Feraligatr should be able to sweep with Waterfall and Return doing most of the damage. Aqua Jet is there for priority in case I run into something like Infernape.

Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SpDef
Careful nature (+SpDef,-SpAtk)
- Payback
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes
- Toxic Spikes

Forretress is my spinner. Also, he has the power to lay down 2 of the entry hazards: Spikes, and Toxic spikes. There really isn't much thought put into his position...I needed a spinner, and I needed the other hazards. He's also a nice special wall, if the need arises.

---
Crobat (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd,-SpAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Cross Poison
- Pursuit
- U-turn

Crobat is a pursuit trapper. I read that Starmie might be a pain, and I didn't want to use Scizor, because many teams usually have an answer to Scizor. I decided to use Crobat, due to his dazzling speed and not-half-bad power. He's also one of my "Emergency Anti-Leads", so if Gliscor gets taunted, Crobat can strike back with a move that might drive off the enemy lead.

---
Flygon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 SpDef
Jolly nature (+Spd,-SpAtk)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Stone Edge
- U-turn

Flygon is my answer to electric types trying to destroy my Feraligatr. If Feraligatr goes down, Flygon can soak up Thunderbolt and hit back with a move of his own (usually earthquake, but other moves can be used if needed). Outrage and Stone Edge are nice because it makes it harder for other pokemon like Dragonite to come in, especially if there are entry hazards up. He's also one of my "Emergency Anti-Leads", so if Gliscor gets taunted, Flygon can strike back with a move that might drive off the enemy lead.

---
Infernape (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk/192 Spd/64 SpAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd,-Def)
- Close Combat
- Overheat
- Stone Edge
- U-turn

Infernape is there primarily for type coverage. I noticed there was an apparent lack of Fighting moves and Fire moves. I thought that Fighting types would be able to take down things like Heatran, and that Fire moves would help out against the ever common Scizor. He's also one of my "Emergency Anti-Leads", so if Gliscor gets taunted, Infernape can strike back with a move that might drive off the enemy lead.

Concerns:

I HAVE NO SPINBLOCKER! I don't know what to replace! I considered replacing Crobat before, but I really need a pursuit trapper for Starmie, which will not only own Feraligatr, but also rip right through Aerodactyl and Infernape!

I HAVE NO PHAZER! I realize that a phazer would definitely help me, but I didn't want to incur more electric type weaknesses by using Skarmory, and Hippowdon would cause a sandstorm. Any ideas?

Thanks for Rating My Team!
