lol Breloom (An OU RMT)

I'm pretty new here, but I've been playtesting this team on Shoddy for a few weeks. I know it needs work, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Thus, here I am.

The Team At A Glance

aerodactyl.png

Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 ATK / 252 SPD / 6 HP
Nature: Jolly

Moveset:
Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Taunt
Rock Slide

Comments: This is a fairly normal SR/Taunt lead. I really don't see a problem with him for now, and really don't want to change him. But, I am open to suggestions.
breloom.png

Breloom @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 ATK / 208 SPD / 50 HP
Nature: Adamant

Moveset:
Spore
Focus Punch
Seed Bomb
Substitute

Comments: Breloom is the core of this team, and for good reason. As long as he can get off the first Spore, he can usually take out 2-3 Pokemon without an issue. 1st turn Spore, 2nd Sub, then Focus Punch and Seed Bomb through the sweep. Resistances usually don't matter, mainly because of the Sub shielding him. Toxic Orb works on two levels: It recovers the Sub life loss, and prevents Breloom from being affected by another status. This particular Breloom usually wins a mirror match, and only fears Infernape and other quick Fire-types. This doesn't matter much, mostly because you wouldn't switch into a Fire-type, and Spore hits anything that would switch to counter Breloom.

One note: Breloom has a huge problem dealing with Flinchhax Pokemon. I don't know why, but I HATE Jirachi.

blissey.png

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 DEF / 176 SPD / 82 SpATK
Nature: Calm

Moveset:
Flamethrower
Wish
Protect
Toxic

Comments: Stereotypical Blissey wall here. Chose Flamethrower to counter the common Scizor switch-ins. Heatran really hurts this build, but that seems to be its only real problem. Toxic doesn't really mesh with Breloom and Spore, but I rarely run into that probelm, due in part to Blissey being able to outlast anything it actually poisons. Wish is great for patching up my lead, or anyone else who needs the HP boost. I usually hate Blissey, but damn it if she doesn't work.

empoleon.png

Empoleon @ Expert Belt
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 14 DEF / 232 SPD / 252 SpATK
Nature: Modest

Moveset:
Surf
Ice Beam
Grass Knot
Agility

Comments: Ah, Empoleon. I both love and hate you. You're great for revenge-killing, but terrible at killing anything even resembling a Special Wall. I really only added Empoleon because he is good at taking out slow Earthquake users, or really anything slow. But fast Earthquakers, like Gliscor, can KO Empoleon before he can return the favor. Agility is here for that very reason. This and the Metagross need the most work, and may need to go.

metagross.png

Metagross @ Choice Band
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 ATK / 252 DEF / 6 HP
Nature: Adamant

Moveset:
Earthquake
Explosion
Bullet Punch
Meteor Mash

Comment: Here is my other weak link. Metagross works well enough, but doesn't seem to mesh with my team. I love him as a physical wall that can dish out some pain, and Bullet Punch really helps make up for the lack of speed. But, as with Empoleon, anything quick with Earthquake really hurts him. Plus, he adds another weakness to Heatran.

479-t.png

Rotom @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 168 DEF / 90 SPD
Nature: Bold

Moveset:
Shadow Ball
Overheat
Thunderbolt
Hidden Power Fighting

Comments: This Rotom helps shore up Empoleon and Metagross's weaknesses. He can switch in to an Earthquake, bash the opponent with STAB Shadow Ball, beat up Heatran with HP Fighting, or hurt Jirachi and other Steel-types with Overheat. He is also a spin blocker, and a decent one at that. I opted out of using Trick because I tend to go for Leftovers in non-Item Clause'd battles.

OVERALL: The team works great against slower teams, especially walls. The biggest threats to the team are Heatran, other Blissey, and Flinchaxors. But, it works a large majority of the time. I refuse to let Breloom go, so leave him be. I just need help on figuring out what it needs. I just can quite put my finger on it. Anyway, thanks in advance for helping me with my first RMT!

maybe the problem is that you have too many leads in one team if metagross isnt your lead and you need speed use agility its not rocket science and then you dont need bullet punch and your team needs some fire defences badly and something that takes down blissey other than breloom if you leave aerodactyl in till it dies maybe send out a different pokemon and use aero to finish the job off against slower pokemon

Your problem is your Pokemon don't have high speed base stats.

I for one, don't think there are that many leads in the team. Metagross is ok, but I think if you want to avoid your ground problem, use Skarmory, since it has great defence, ground immunity and can set spikes up and gives you the Skarmbliss combination, which helps you wall quite a few Pokemon.

Your Rotom-h needs Trick if you're running Scarf. I suggest putting Trick over HP Fighting. Your Rotom EV's are skewed slightly as well. I think you should have 252 SPA and 252 SPE and 6 HP EV's, which are more suited to a scarfRotom. If you want to keep the current EV spread, I suggest Will-O-Wisp over HP Fighting and Leftovers as item.

Metagross is interesting. I think Agiligross is something you should consider.
Metagross @ Leftovers, Adamant Nature
112 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 132 Spe
-Agility
-Meteor Mash
-Earthquake
-Ice Punch / Thunder Punch
The last move depends more on what you want to KO more. Salamence or Gyarados. Agility pushes your speed up to insane heights, outspeeding all base 130 speed Pokemon with one agility.

As for fixing the speed problem, I can't really suggest much without changing the way the team runs sorry.

yeah your metagross to me seems more geared to a lead. Empoleon and Metagross are good pokemon but they can only serve your purpose you can get agility up. I'd ev metagross more defensivly if you want him to be a wall. If earthquakes are a problem, there is always magnet rise. I suggest replacing Empoleon with either Vaporeon or Suicune; both are good counters for Heatran. Since you already have two walls and a wish passer, CM Suicune seems like a better fit.

Hope this helps!

I want to avoid using legends, if at all possible. Agiligross is a good fit, I agree, but he really needs Leftovers, which are already on Blissey. Granted, this is only a problem with the Item Clause, but it does cause a problem. I agree that I should probably use either 'Gross or Empoleon, and not both. Any suggestions on who should stay?

If you read the comments on Rotom, you'd know why I don't use Trick. Although, I do suppose Trick is a good choice, especially since Empoleon already knows HP Fighting. I guess I'll use it, at least to try it out.

Oh, and Sheshi: I don't mind changing the team around, provided Breloom stays, and has good support.

Anyway, thanks for the comments, and keep them comming.
