SS OU Low ladder player, who made a team which is very bad, needs help

Marowak-Alola @ Thick Club
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Poltergeist
- Bonemerang
- Fire Punch
- Swords Dance
Marowak is here and its a mon that does stuff.
In a nutshell its job is to get in by the pivots on the team and click buttons or get it in against
a greey double switch.

Urshifu @ Choice Band
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wicked Blow
- Close Combat
- Sucker Punch
- U-turn
Urshifu is another breaker and it breaks stuff like blissey and abuses its good speed to spam
wicked blow or CC, Uturn is pretty obvious to gain momentum and ignore the clef switch and punish it with something
Sucker punch is used over poison jab/iron head because priority is needed here so we don't auto lose to volc

Toxapex @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Recover
- Haze
- Knock Off
Pex is my check to everything and I don't even know if it fits but it helps me against volc and urshifu-ss.
the set is something maybe standard idk but it gives me crucial knock off support allowing me to gain momentum while doing almost nothing
and scald discourages things from just staying in on it

Zeraora @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Plasma Fists
- Close Combat
- Volt Switch
this thing is an offensive pivot and it works as such,it forces out switchs and spams knock all day
this is physically offensive and helps my team with speed control against stuff like hex pult which would mess
with my team all day

Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Def / 228 SpD
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Defog
- Body Press
- U-turn
corviknight is my rilaboom and kyurem check which also fogs which helps against rocks
and or spikes. The ev spread is to tank mixed hits easier to help with kyurem
and I use body press over brave bird and iron head to not take recoil or not hit much

Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 244 HP / 16 Atk / 188 SpD / 60 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
- Swords Dance
Rhyperior is my rocker and semi-check to volc if they break through pex
It can break decently and fits with my breaking core of maro, urshifu and rhyp.
it also helps against electric annoyance

Hey, I like the core of Zeraora + Alolan Marowak as Zeraora can volt switch on bulky grass types that get absolutely demolished by Marowak so I'll be adjusting the team around that. At first glance, the team is really weak to common meta picks such as bulk up Urshifu-S, Volcaorna, and even Dragapult can be very annoying. A lot of changes are going to be made so lets get started.

:Toxapex: --> :Primarina:
Primarina @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 248 HP / 40 SpA / 44 SpD / 176 Spe
Calm Nature
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Moonblast
The first change I made was putting Primarina over Toxapex. Primarina can check all of the threats mentioned above to a degree (Volcarona, Urshifu-S, Dragapult). It also rounds off the offensive core nicely as it can heavily pressure bulky ground types such as Hippowdon and Rhyperior that check Marowak and Zeraoa.

:Rhyperior: --> :Kommo-o:
Kommo-o @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 40 SpD / 68 Spe
Impish Nature
- Body Press
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
The next change I made was switching Rhyperior out for Kommo-o. Kommo-o defensively checks a lot of the same Pokemon as Rhyperior, but what I like about Kommo-o here is that it is able to switch in on Rillaboom to help fend off the deadly Rillaboom + Magnezone core that is super common right now. More key matchups Kommo-o has for the team is being able to check SD Excadrill, basically all Zeraora, and Rhyperior.

:Urshifu: --> :Clefable:
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Teleport
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
At this point, the team was still Urshifu weak as it can break through Primarina and Kommo-o with bulk up and the appropriate moveset. Clefable is able to fix that and help the team tremendously with wish + teleport support. Marowak and Primarina (but especially Marowak) can get worn down pretty easily from hazards, rocky helmet chip, sand, etc. so having a way for them to remain healthy is extremely nice.

:Marowak-Alola:
Marowak-Alola @ Thick Club
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Poltergeist
- Bonemerang
Marowak desperately needs Flare Blitz for the extra power vs Mandibuzz and Hippowdon in this meta. Rock Head is preferred since you don't take Flare Blitz recoil. On top of that, Marowak already gets 2hkod by Specs Magnezone Flash Cannon, and absorbing a Plasma Fist from Zeraora doesn't really help when they can knock you off the next turn.

:Zeraora:
Zeraora @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Grass Knot
- Aura Sphere
The reason I feel that special Zeraora is needed is because Toxapex can sit in front of it Zeraora and fish for a scald burn. If Toxapex gets the burn on physical Zeraora, it can just sit there forever soaking up Zeraora's hits.

:Corviknight:
Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Def / 228 SpD
Careful Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn
- Brave Bird
Using Brave Bird over Body Press here over Body Press is nice to check things such as Primarina and Gengar better, both of which can be pretty annoying to the team.

Whew that was a lot, hope this helped!

Marowak-Alola @ Thick Club
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Poltergeist
- Bonemerang

Zeraora @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Grass Knot
- Aura Sphere

Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Def / 228 SpD
Careful Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn
- Brave Bird

Primarina @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 248 HP / 40 SpA / 44 SpD / 176 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Moonblast

Kommo-o @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 40 SpD / 68 Spe
Impish Nature
- Body Press
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Teleport
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect

Hi there, here to give you some advices to improve the team.

I saw that JustUhhDude gave a rate when I was writting mine. I read his and the suggestions he made are really good. I opted for a different approach so I'll post my review here to give you a different view on how to improve the team.

First, let’s see what are the potential threats for your team so that it will be easier to improve it.

Offensive threats:

I think that your team main weakness is that you are easily pressure by a lot of mons. Here is a list of some of them.

Zeraora:

:zeraora:

Zeraroa can be annoying even if you have three electric immunities mainly because he can weaken easily Rhyperior, Urshifu and your own Zeraora with close combat. He also has Knock off for Marowak that won’t kill but you won’t be able to one shot him if you lose your item. However, Zeraora isn’t unmanageable as your opponent still has to anticipate what you are doing and cannot just mindlessly click one move.

252 Atk Zeraora Close Combat vs. 244 HP / 0 Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 141-166 (32.6 - 38.4%) -- 1.9% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Zeraora Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Marowak-Alola: 176-208 (67.4 - 79.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Marowak-Alola Bonemerang (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Zeraora: 220-260 (69.4 - 82%) -- approx. 2HKO

Urshifu:

:urshifu:

The issue with Urshifu is that except your own Urshifu you have no switch in to Wicked blow. Rhyperior, Toxapex and Corviknight are 2HK0 while Zeraora and Marowak get one shoted. But going Urshifu is taking the risk to take a Close combat and to lose your only dark resist. Thus if Urshifu manages to get in you may lose at least one mon.

252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 244 HP / 0 Def Rhyperior on a critical hit: 237-279 (54.8 - 64.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex on a critical hit: 157-186 (51.6 - 61.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Zeraora on a critical hit: 372-438 (117.3 - 138.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Rillaboom:

:rillaboom:

You have a Corviknight which is a pretty good counter to Rillaboom. However, as you are special defensive Corviknight without Brave bird, you won’t be able to beat Sword dance Rillaboom. After a Sword dance, Knock off will be doing way too much damage while Grassy glide beats the only mons that outspeed him.

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Rillaboom Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 28 Def Corviknight: 273-322 (68.2 - 80.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Rillaboom Grassy Glide vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex in Grassy Terrain: 220-261 (72.3 - 85.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery

252+ Atk Life Orb Rillaboom Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Marowak-Alola: 270-320 (103.4 - 122.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Life Orb Rillaboom Grassy Glide vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Zeraora in Grassy Terrain: 261-308 (82.3 - 97.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery

Volcarona:

:volcarona:

Volcarona is a huge threat as after a Quiver dance you won’t be able to do anything if your Marowak and your Rhyperior have taken some cheap damages. Some Volcaronas even run Giga drain which will OHKO Rhyperior and if rocks are up Marowak may not even be able to take one hit.

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Zeraora: 273-322 (86.1 - 101.5%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Bug Buzz vs. 244 HP / 188 SpD Rhyperior: 277-327 (64.1 - 75.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

52 SpA Volcarona Bug Buzz vs. 244 HP / 188 SpD Rhyperior: 186-219 (43 - 50.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 228+ SpD Corviknight: 372-438 (93 - 109.5%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Psychic vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Toxapex: 224-264 (73.6 - 86.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Psychic vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Marowak-Alola: 181-214 (69.3 - 81.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Volcarona Psychic vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Marowak-Alola: 121-143 (46.3 - 54.7%) -- 62.1% chance to 2HKO

Hawlucha:

:hawlucha:

Your gameplan against Lucha is basically to get a Scald burn with Toxapex. As your Corviknight is special defensive without brave bird, it won’t be able to do anything against Lucha and Toxapex is your only chance here.

+2 252+ Atk Hawlucha Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Marowak-Alola: 288-339 (110.3 - 129.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252+ Atk Hawlucha Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Zeraora: 429-505 (135.3 - 159.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252+ Atk Hawlucha Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 28 Def Corviknight: 316-373 (79 - 93.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 252+ Atk Hawlucha Close Combat vs. 244 HP / 0 Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 406-478 (93.9 - 110.6%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO

+2 252+ Atk Hawlucha Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 166-196 (54.6 - 64.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Magnezone:

:magnezone:

Magnezone has to win 50/50 between clicking Flash cannon that deals huge damages to your three electric immunities and Thunderbolt that destroys Toxapex and Corvi. Losing one of this 50/50 can put you in a terrible situation.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Analytic Magnezone Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Marowak-Alola: 168-198 (64.3 - 75.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Analytic Magnezone Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Zeraora: 168-198 (52.9 - 62.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Kyurem:

:kyurem:

Same thing as Magnezone with ice beam (that 2HKO Maro and Corvi) and Freeze dry (may OHKO Toxapex).

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 228+ SpD Corviknight: 198-234 (49.5 - 58.5%) -- 64.5% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Marowak-Alola: 144-171 (55.1 - 65.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Freeze-Dry vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Toxapex: 278-330 (91.4 - 108.5%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

Defensive threats:

I identified two main things.

Tangrowth:

:tangrowth:

The main issue with Tangrowth is that as you’re playing Fire punch Marowak you won’t be able to kill him, and you will get Knocked off. Urshifu needs a roll to deal with Tangwroth and Zeraora and Rhyperior can’t do much against him.

252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tangrowth on a critical hit: 183-216 (45.2 - 53.4%) -- 34.8% chance to 2HKO

252+ Atk Thick Club Marowak-Alola Fire Punch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tangrowth: 240-284 (59.4 - 70.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Clefable:

:clefable:

Marowak is a good mon to deal with Clef. However, you must be cautious as if Clef clicks Knock off on your Marowak in, you won’t have anything to deal with him. A Calm mind Thunder set can also be a problem because if you happen to lose your Marowak, you won’t be able to prevent him form sweeping.

+1 0 SpA Life Orb Clefable Thunder vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Toxapex: 218-257 (71.7 - 84.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+1 0 SpA Life Orb Clefable Thunder vs. 252 HP / 228+ SpD Corviknight: 242-286 (60.5 - 71.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Now, for the changes I would suggest.

Major changes:

Replacing Marowak with Clefable:

:Marowak-Alola: --> :Clefable:

Clefable helps a lot against some mons cited above like Urshifu or Hawlucha. I opted for a wish teleport version to give some recovery to your breakers. However as Wish, Protect is weaker to urshifu you can also consider using a Soft boiled Clef instead.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Wish
- Protect
- Teleport
- Moonblast

Replacing Toxapex with Blissey

:Toxapex: --> :Blissey:

Your current defensive core is weak to the most common special threats. That’s why I suggest adding Blissey to have a somehow reliable answer to things like Kyurem, Magnezone or Volcarona. You can’t check Safeguard Volcarona with Blissey but that’s not much a problem because Rhyperior can handle it pretty easily.

Blissey (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Soft-Boiled
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic

Using choice band Rhyperior

:Rhyperior:

Now to replace Marowak who is a bit hard to use in my opinion because of its hazard weakness and mediocre bulk, I think you can try banded Rhyperior. Rhyperior hits really hard almost all defensive mons in the tier with its good coverage while being really hard to take down on the physical side. Clefable is here to heal your Rhyperior and teleport into him to pressure your opponent's team. The speed investment is here to outspeed Clef and one shot him with Heavy slam.

Rhyperior @ Choice Band
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Heat Crash
- Earthquake
- Heavy Slam
- Stone Edge

Minor Changes:

Using physical def Corviknight

:Corviknight:

Now that you have a solid special defensive wall, I think it’s better to use physical defensive Corviknight. I also suggest using Brave bird instead of Body press so that you can check Rillaboom way more efficiently.

Corviknight @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Defog
- U-turn
- Brave Bird

Using Bulk up Urshifu:

:Urshifu:

This is mainly to avoid having two banded mons. You could maybe decide to play Urshifu banded and Rhyperior Sword dance but you will lose one of Rhyperior coverage moves. Moreover, bulk up Urshifu can be a really nice cleaner against a weaken team.

Urshifu @ Life Orb
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Wicked Blow
- Sucker Punch
- Bulk Up

Here is the full team:

Clefable @ Leftovers

Hope this was helpful.
