Bumping this because shifts happened again and now we suddenly have Uxie in RU instead of PU in addition to some rises that were more or less surprising. I've calculated how stats for the rises would look like if weighting would have been removed:
Rises:
Uxie - 3.36726%
Togedemaru - 2.99004%
Weezing - 3.41708%
Chesnaught - 5.02607%
Doublade - 3.83977%
Magmortar - 3.78588%
Steelix-Mega - 3.61687%
Gligar - 5.78806%
Drops:
Glalie-Mega - 3.79436%
Minior - 3.18209%
Gastrodon - 2.54555%
Stakataka - 2.53379%
Darmantian - 3.34861%
Metagross - 3.33247
Those were calculated based on the 1630 stats as that are the stats used for tiering, right?
Basically that nonsens Uxie rise would've been prevented, and Togedemaru would've stayed in PU. All other rises still would have happened (altough Weezing would've been really close), but most of these were expected anyway, as the respective Pokémon were above the cutoff (or atleast close below it) in every month.
Might do that for the Drops aswell later today and edit them into this post, maybe someone else could calculate if any additional rises would've happened if weighting was removed as thats obviously not something you can do manually.
So, why wait for the next generation to start before removing weighting? It hasn't even been announed, so it'll probably be released late 2019, thats minimum three major shifts away. I haven't seen anyone in this thread disagreeing with the fact that removing weigth would be a step in the right direction, so why wait for another year before making that change?
