Hi Monotype!
The Mono PRs were posted in the official thread in a completely different order than what it should have been. Here are the CORRECTED PRs:
1) US South — Trichotomy (Dead by Daylight)
Trichotomy is a name that should not be strange to anyone who has followed Monotype in recent years, as he is considered one of the best Monotype players ever. His latest MPL showing was a great 7-2, bringing his overall team tour record to an extraordinary 52-22. Those numbers are proof of his excellent battle skills, but it doesn’t stop there, as he is also recognized as one of the best teambuilders. On top of that, he can count on ladder hero DBD if a sub is needed, and council member Style.css can assist with excellent scouting and teambuilding support. Simply put, a near-perfect, well-rounded opponent who is bound to demolish the pool.
2) India — Floss (Ashbala, Dugza, Spitfire)
India loves Monotype, and that is easily noticed by the strength of their starter and the crew of friends he will have at his disposal. Floss should be no stranger to anyone following the Monotype scene: former Tier Leader and council member, with a great 44-34 overall record and currently 7-0 in MPL XI. On top of that, he can count on three excellent supporters who are also very prominent figures in the Monotype community and always bound to great records. Only a catastrophe could prevent this slot from dominating the pool.
3) Brazil — Leafium Z (Memphisdepayy)
Leafium Z, as his name suggests, is a Leaf. He is no stranger to anyone who has followed the Monotype scene. He is the current Circuit Winner as well as a council member. He is a great player who just came back with a 5-2 record from MPL. He currently stands at the top of the SV overall team tour records with an astounding record of 21-8. As for support, he can count on Memphisdepay, who qualified for Monotype Cup Playoffs and made it to the semis. This team is expected to have an outstanding record. Leafium also wrote half of the PRs, so shout-out to him.
4) France — Cielau (Toadow, Gelbelc)
The French core comes strong, since it’s composed of Cielau (current Tier Leader) and his two ever-present partners in crime, Toadow (previous Circuit Winner) and Gelbelc (current Cup Playoffs winner). This trio was also the main engine behind Melemele Meloetta’s heroic win in MPL X. Although Cielau himself showcased a rather mediocre record in the most recent two MPLs (3-3 thus far and 1-1), he still boasts a solid 32-21 overall record in team tours. It is undeniable how well-rounded an opponent Cielau is, and with amazing support from his two besties, this French core will be a nightmare to dismantle.
5) US West — Jojo8868 (Rio Vidal)
It looks like 2025 sparked the birth of a new Jojo. He qualified as first seed for Cup Playoffs, winning both SV Cup and BW Cup, and setting the all-time record for most points earned. In Playoffs, he managed to reach the semis, and currently, he also sits at a pretty good 4-2 record in MPL. On top of that, he can count on current Tier Leader Rio Vidal to provide him with teambuilding support. If he manages to keep up with the level he has displayed, US West is bound to have an excellent record in this slot.
6) Latin America — Tarre25 (JeoZ)
Tarre25 is the LATAM captain and the Richie Rich of Monotype. He is a great Monotype player who has seen great success in the SV meta. He was on the winning team of the previous MWP. He has a strong record of 16-8 overall in SV. His current MPL record of 3-3 is not representative of his skills, as he is more experienced and usually goes positive. JeoZ is a rising talent who has been performing well in individual tours and will support Tarre from the back. They will definitely give their pool a hard time.
7) Asia — Vodoom (Neko)
Asia’s Monotype team is set for success due to how well their two members complement each other. The starter, Vodoom, shines as a great battler (proven by a 37-23 overall record), while Neko is an excellent supporter, known for her teambuilding and scouting. She also qualified for Cup Playoffs, proving that she can take the stage if needed. As long as they keep motivation high and manage to work well together, this duo has everything they need to put up a great result for Asia.
8) US Northeast — Isza (RoyalReloaded)
Isza is a Monotype veteran who runs the Honchkrow franchise, one of the most successful Monotype franchises to this day. He is no doubt a great manager, but he has not been very involved in playing SV. RoyalReloaded is no stranger to those who follow Monotype interview threads. He is a capable SV player who has a good understanding of the meta and can support Isza well. If Royal is able to support the slot effectively, Isza’s great managing skills can also be carried forward to his games, allowing him to sweep pools.
9) Belgium — Mada (Showl)
Mada is a very active figure in the Monotype scene, mainly as a manager in the biggest team tournaments of the tier, and we can say that he is relatively successful at his job. This time, however, he takes the role of a player, and his record in this role does not inspire much confidence, with an overall score of 8-11 in official Monotype team tours. Showl is also a very present figure in the Monotype community, and with his help, it is very possible that Mada’s excellent teambuilding and scouting skills can be translated to his in-game performance.
10) US Midwest — Charmriah
FadedCharm, or Charmriah, is someone who left Monotype a few months ago to explore other tiers but has decided to make a comeback. He was part of last year’s MPL and had a good run. His SV record is mediocre at best (3-4). However, he is a really motivated player who can secure wins against good players and has upset potential. He is also one of the captains of Midwest, so he has to support the entire team while also preparing for his own slot. Midwest is going to have a colorful record if Charm locks in.
11) Germany — Tuff Tuff
At first glance, it would be logical to think that Germany might be in trouble, since Tuff Tuff is struggling in this MPL, with a pretty underwhelming record of 1-4 (so far). Digging deeper, when we look at his individual results, he reached the finals of the SS Cup and almost managed to secure a spot at Cup Playoffs, had he won the tiebreaker set vs Neko. Tuff Tuff has the potential to achieve a good result, but he will definitely need support, and it is difficult to see where he can find it.
12) United Kingdom — TTK
TTK returns to the Monotype scene after a rather short retirement period. Although his latest MPL performance was a rather average 4-4 score, he is positive overall in the Monotype Team Tours sheet, with a respectable 11-9. Similar to other countries, the biggest issue here will likely be the lack of support, since the UK roster does not seem to have anyone else who can help TTK. However, if he manages to find a provider somewhere or even build on his own, he can be a source of headaches for his opponents.
13) Spain — Dorron
Dorron was Spain’s captain in the latest iteration of the Monotype World Cup and put up a good record of 3-2, although none of the games were played in SV. He is also a very active member in the National Dex community and played National Dex Monotype in several tours. As long as he is able to translate his skills from that meta to SV, he should be able to keep up with the competition in this pool.
14) Canada — King Billu (Seo, Kev)
King Billu is an average Monotype player who has put up mediocre records from time to time. His current overall record is 8-7. He will need to work hard in order to catch up with stronger opponents. Seo is the Canadian legend who has been active in Monotype for a very long time. He has just come back from MPL with an amazing record of 4-1. Kev is a former Tier Leader who has recently made his return. He and Seo combined have enough power to support King Billu, elevating him from his current state to something much higher.
15) Italy — Micaiah
Micaiah is a known CAP and NatDex player. He managed and won last year’s CAPPL. He is new to the tier and this may be his first time playing SV Monotype. He is able to click well and can perform if he is given good teams. Things look hard for Italy, as they do not seem to have any kind of support for this slot, making it very difficult to predict in their favor. However, Micaiah, being a good player, can adapt to the tier quickly and help Italy secure good wins from his pool.
16) Europe — Lasen (Larry, Sificon)
Lasen is someone you have probably heard of before, but not in Monotype. Yes, Ubers moderator Lasen is now going all in on Monotype. He is a good Ubers player, but he has no knowledge of Monotype. On the support side, he has Larry and Sificon. Larry is somewhat experienced in Monotype and has a good record of 14-6 on sheet. His recent MPL performance was serviceable, so he might be able to assist Lasen. Sificon is the connoisseur of Grass types. He is very experienced with the type he mains. He has a modest record of 6-8 in SV, though he does have some knowledge of the meta and can support the Mono slot. Europe, by the looks of it, will have a hard time navigating the pools.
17) Portugal — MattandMello (ExguardiaN)
All signs point towards an uphill battle for Portugal in the Monotype slot. Their starter, MattandMello, has yet to compete in an MPL, and his most recent showing is a rather timid 0-2 record in MFPL I. He did reach Round 5 of SV Cup, ultimately losing to the winner of that tournament. He will definitely have to step up his game in order to stand a chance against the top contenders.
18) Argentina — HSBT
HSBT, or Balto, is Argentina’s Monotype slot. He is relatively new to the tier and, to my knowledge, has never played the tier before in a team tour. But this doesn't mean he can’t play well. He has been in high spirits, as Argentina managed to qualify for the WCOP main stage under his captaincy. He lacks support, as no one from their roster is very experienced in SV. However, he can do well and defy all odds, as he did in WCOP, and grasp wins in the pool stage for Argentina.
19) Bangladesh — Rowlet69420 (feen)
Rowlet is mostly known for playing Random Battles. He was also involved in playing WCOP for Bangladesh last year. He is a passionate guy who is quick to adapt to tiers and can do well if he is guided correctly. To have his back, they have feen, who is a veteran in the Monotype community and has been involved in playing the tier for a long time. Feen has a neutral record of 10-10 in SV, but this record does not reflect his support and playing skill, as he is a far better player. If Rowlet locks in, along with feen’s support, Bangladesh can surprise in the pool stage.
20) China — yingzhi4896
Yingzhi is a Chinese player who has participated in PUWC, UUWC, and MSPL. He is playing Monotype for the first time in a team tour and is looking to prove himself. He has been able to play well in the tours he participated in before. However, lack of quality support can be a hindering factor in this slot. Nonetheless, if yingzhi is motivated enough and able to prep well alone, he can overcome obstacles and succeed, nullifying the fact that he is new to the tier.
