Lucario [1-6]-0s you!

I present my Lucario-based team

Naturally, it works by weakening Lucario's counters and then setting up a Lucario Sweep (unless Gyarados sweeps them before)

Now, for the team:

Ash%27s_Gliscor.jpg

Alucard (Gliscor) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 196 HP/96 Atk/216 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spe, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Taunt
- Roost
- Stealth Rock

Alucard ready to crush the enemy! My new lead Alucard (who isn't Dracula or any other vampire AT ALL) had replaced my older Spiderpig the Adamant LO Mamoswine as a lead, putting stallers at a sticky situation. 96 ATK allows me to OHKO analysis Tentacruel 50-50 with SR, Sandstorm (aka the stall team's Hippowdon) and EQ

Scizor001XP.jpg

Steel Wing 01 (Scizor) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 160 HP/176 Atk/1 Spd/172 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- P ursuit

Steel Wing 01 ready! #1 on the usage, and a similar score on my favorites. You know what this pokemon does: make bulletholes in enemy pokes, make a U-Turning Hit&Run, keep a Pursuit on Psy/Ghosts, and Superpower to overpower Steels.

red_gyarados.jpg

Red Demon (Gyarados) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 156 HP/108 Atk/96 Def/148 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Taunt
- Stone Edge

Red Demon winning battle! BulkyGyara Sweeps 1000% better then LO Gyara. You know the drill, Dragon Dance, Taunt Blissey, Dragon Dance, Taunt Skarmory, Sweep Team. Also provides a few useful resistances. Scores most of the team's KOs, so its probably a stayer.

rotom.jpg

Eternal Engine (Rotom-c) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/188 Def/60 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Will-o-wisp
- Thunderbolt /Shadow Ball
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Eternal Engine Ends sweeps! A defensive pokemon and Gyarados counter for the team. Lately changed to Restalk because Sub/Ball/WoW/Bolt wasn't properly functioning, and the lawnmower scares butterflies (and other swamp monsters) who dont know my moveset.

heatran-ow.png

Heat Runner (Heatran) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Explosion

Heatran set-up to burn lightning. The team's Revenge Killer and Boomer. HP Grass harms Waters, but may be swapped for HP Electric which OHKOs ???????? when he's Adamant (and does not outspeed) and is more spammable (aka less resists). F-Thrower instead of Fire Miss is because i dont want my Revenge Killer to hit the air.

LUCARIO.jpg

Commander 60 (Lucario) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Extremespeed
- Swords Dance
- Crunch

Commander 60 back for some sweep! In theory, he switches in, Swords Dances and X-Speeds/CC/Crunches the weakened enemy to death. Typically aids a revenge kill with X-Speed instead. I'm attempting to get help on that.

Nice solid team, however it doesn't really help Lucario in the sense that it takes out it's counters, I mean gyarados can only switch into gliscor so much. Plus rotom can be a headache to you're steam. To solve the problem you might want to replace scizor with cb tar with ice punch. It lures in glisocr and kills it, and traps and kills rotom.

Hey AlphaBravo.

Your team looks very solid indeed, but I would just like to point out a few changes to EV spreads. One: Scizor. I don't really see the point in its current EV spread; ideally you want to be taking hits from the special side of the attacking spectrum more than the physical side (the only reason you've maxed out HP to even them out, I'd assume). I would personally suggest using the EV spread of 80 HP / 252 Atk / 172 SpD / 4 Spe which allows you to take hits better from Pokémon such as Latias and Starmie, but also allows you to take the odd physical attack.. obviously, this is not your main priority, though. Otherwise, if you are really concerned about physical attacks, maybe an alternative spread of 160 HP / 176 Atk / 168 SpD / 4 Spe could help as you can take a lot more special-based attacks, your priority, and, again, physical attacks -- you are never beaten by a Draco Meteor + Surf from Life Orb Latias + Stealth Rock, either, which is also cool. You are also able to survive a Hidden Power Fire from Celebi if you have lost Heatran beforehand.

Furthermore, I'd recommend that you'd increase Rotom-C's Defense just so you can take LO Gyarados easier -- 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD could work well to your advantage -- Rotom, on this specific team, should be taking more physical hits than special. Shadow Ball over Discharge could also be viable with dealing with Pokémon such as Gliscor, Zapdos, etcetera.

Salamence seems to be a reasonable threat, but I guess you can handle it with a bit of prediction. Especially if it has Magnezone paired with it, because I can't really see Mamoswine staying in mid-late game.

Thanks and good luck!

Vashta, what's your IRC alt? I think I met you on the IRC.

I will change the spreads

Discharge->Shadow Ball? Gyarados problem, but OK.

Imo, for a rest-talk set for rotom, you should run t-bolt over wow. If you only run 1 attacking move, you only have 1/3 chance to do any damage. You should also change to Rotom-C to bluff leaf storm to keep swampert at bay. If you want to keep wow, switch to t-bolt, t-wave, wow and shadow ball. It really helps your team sweep with lucario, as with t-wave it outspeeds almost anything, and burn will help against priority. Other than that you have a good team, so good luck with it!

In my opinion, Will-O-Wisp + Shadow Ball beats it also -- it is worth testing, of course, though.

Scizor´s ability

I don´t have time for a full rate now, but I think Technician>Swarm on Scizor.
Good luck!!

Rotom has 18 more EVs then it can be allocated, remove these from special defence.

I can see you running into problems versus opposing taunt gyarados's if they figure out you lack thunderbolt on rotom. Rotom also loses to offensive Gyarados that have a life orb equipped, as a +1 waterfall manages 65.13% - 76.97%, which is always a 2HKO after Stealth Rock damage has been applied, and that takes the burn into account (and still likely without it). Of course you can cleverly intimidate switch to gyarados and stall it out with a burn, but thunderbolt is really the safer move, as it will help you moreso on a team such as this I believe (the main benefits are that you can finish off weakened tyranitars and scizors and OHKO gyarados). It will also help you moreso against vaporeon, which can be arduos for your team at the current time.

I would also suggest running superpower over quick attack, as I believe it would be more beneficial in many cases.

I can see you have trouble again stall as lucario is your only real wall-breaker. Scizor cannot even threaten blissey without superpower at the current time as everytime it u-turns blissey can just recover.

Food for though: maybe a Lead Gliscor instead of mamoswine may work, it helps you moreso against specs jolt (which can be quite a nuisance as mamoswine certainly does not last forever). If you give it Taunt, SR, EQ, Roost it will help you immensely versus stall.

You have mentioned to me that you believe yourself to be a little water and electric weak (which you are a little). If this continually bothers you, you could try testing an offensive latias instead of heatran, specs, life orb or CM refresh will all work fine and each have their perks which i will outline. Life Orb latias is generally better against offensive teams, whereas CM refresh shines versus stall. Specs is largely a mix between the two as it can harm both offense and stall teams, but requires you to predict much more (read: only if you replace mamoswine with gliscor). The beauty of latias on this team is that it helps the end goal that much more as it draws pursuit targets like anything which means a free swords dance for lucario.

Hope I helped, Good Luck with the team.
