set comments
-allows lucario to muscle past its usual counters
-lures in gliscor, who is decimated by hidden power
-unexpected
-can break down walls blocking a teammates sweep
-maintains high offensive power
-reliable and powerful moves
-intimidate loses some of its usefulness

Additional comments
-close combat can be run over aura sphere for more power
-lum berry is an option to stop status
-more evs can be shifted into special attack for a greater chance to beat chansey
-hidden power rock can be used for a greater chance of beating gyarados
-a set of 252spe/160spa/112atk can be used, guaranteeing a 2HKO on all dragons with hp ice

teammates, checks and counters
-spikes should defiantly be used to get some OHKOs and 2HKOs
-celebi defeats jellicent who otherwise gives this set issues
-haxorus works well with this set as lucario can remove steels allowing haxorus to spam outrage
- a ghost type is advisable to soak up mach punches
-conkeldurr destroys lucario with mach punch
- any faster pokemon with an SE attack will force lucario out
- a priority abuser, preferably aqua jet can beat: landorus, terrakion, volcarona and infernape all of whom force luke out.

Honestly, I don't think I agree with this set very much. Why? Because... SD and NP Lucario break down walls well enough already AND maintain the threat of a sweep. After an SD, Forretress, Skarmory, ETC. all fall to CC anyway. Pokemon like Jirachi and Metagross fall to Crunch, and Gliscor falls to Ice Punch. Or you could use NP, which can obliterate usual special walls like Chansey, Blissey, Heatran, Jellicent, etc.

The bottom line is that there's just no REASON for Lucario to go mixed, since it hits so brutally hard on both sides already it doesn't need to do so in order to get past it's checks. It just needs the right coverage moves, and BAM down they go.

So tell me, what do you get from this Lucario that you wouldn't from NP and SD Lucario, that would make this set worth using over either of them? Because I'm just not seeing it.

So basically, going by the main slashes, I should use this set over the NP set for the sake of a +1 atk Extreme Speed? That doesn't make sense in terms of wallbreaking, which is what you say this set is about. From the analysis.
A mixed Work Up set can work to utilize both of Lucario's offensive stats, but you'll likely find Lucario's base 110 Attack and base 115 Special Attack surprisingly lackluster without full EV investment; its ever-disappointing Speed and defensive stats only compound the problem.
It will take an unrealistic amount of turns of boosting before you can get past blissey/chansey using work up. Jimera0 is right, you need to explain this better.

Nasty Plot Lucario does all of these things, but better. It does a better job at getting past simply bulky mons such as Tangrowth, as this set doesn't KO but Nasty Plot does. Nasty Plot also lures in Gliscor, is unexpected, can break down walls. It also maintains better offensive power than this set since it has a huge 722 SpA stat after a boost unlike this set's 447 SpA after a boost. Nasty Plot also isn't affected by Intimidate at all.
