Lugia, the disagreeable creature

My 2nd (or 4th, if you count the unrated ones) RMT.

At first, I started with 6 Unowns.
[pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg]

However, I realised I preferred Ubers. And Species Clause exists. Since I liked to sweep, and Ferrothorn was unsuitable for the job (although it could, I've done it thrice, killing the opponents' last 2 or 3 pokemon). Therefore, for the sheer wallbreaking capabilities of Kyogre, I chose it.

[pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]382[/pimg]

I also liked Extremekiller Arceus, considering that I swept with it a lot.

[pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]498[/pimg][pimg]382[/pimg]

On my previous RMT, somebody informed me that Soul Dew is now released, so Latios is on my team. (Although Shiny Latias looks better, I mentioned that I prefer to be offensive.)

[pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]381[/pimg][pimg]498[/pimg][pimg]382[/pimg]

Then I decided, why not sweep with just 1 pokemon, and set up easily. Therefore, Dialga and Smeargle appeared out of the blue.

[pimg]201[/pimg][pimg]488[/pimg][pimg]235[/pimg][pimg]381[/pimg][pimg]498[/pimg][pimg]382[/pimg]

Lastly, I needed a pokemon that can set up Stealth Rocks while preventing them on my side, to break their sashes and Sturdy, while keeping my Smeargle's sash intact. Deoxys-S fitted perfectly, since no pranksters got Stealth Rock, so Deoxys-S is the fastest setter of Stealth Rock and also the fastest Taunter.

[pimg]389[/pimg][pimg]235[/pimg][pimg]488[/pimg][pimg]381[/pimg][pimg]498[/pimg][pimg]382[/pimg]

There you have it! My team! (My first time including the team building process, so if I've gone wrong somewhere, tell me where.)

And now, I present you my team:

[pimg]389[/pimg] @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SpA)
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Extremespeed
- Fire Punch

Taunt everything with the smallest chance of set up, since the priority is no entry hazards on my side, rather than get an entry hazard on his side. Therefore, Tyranitar just screws over me, since Crunch is an OHKO, followed by the sandstorm damage. Extremespeed for Deoxys-A, Fire Punch for Forretress. Thinking of running 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe to kill Forretress faster, as Fire Punch with the former EV spread does only 48% to Forretress. How can Deoxys not get Flamethrower?

[pimg]235[/pimg] @ Focus Sash
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SpA)
- Shell Smash
- Spore
- Ingrain
- Baton Pass

Usually comes in right after Deoxys-S dies. Just Shell Smash, Spore, then Ingrain if I might be phazed, and Baton Pass to Dialga. Maximum Speed so I can Spore before he can attack again after I Shell Smash.

[pimg]488[/pimg] @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 68 Atk / 252 SpA / 188 Spe
Mild Nature (+SpA, -Def)
- Brick Break
- Dragon Pulse
- Thunder
- Flamethrower

Just about as mindless as Kyogre. Just click Dragon Pulse on everything, with the exception of Lugia, Chansey, Blissey and Steel-types. I might have missed some others. Lugia is Thundered and then it dies. But tbh, Lugia is 2HKOed with both Dragon Pulse and Thunder, so I Thunder in the rain (only the rain) for the paralysis rate. In other weathers, I prefer Dragon Pulse for its accuracy. Blissey is OHKOed after Stealth Rock, but Chansey with Thunder Wave is problematic. For Steel-types, just go with the other moves, usually Flamethrower.

[pimg]381[/pimg] @ Soul Dew
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Psyshock
- Surf

Just come in, CM on the switch, and watch things die (hopefully). Surf over HP Fire since Surf has almost perfect neutral coverage, and rain is much more dominant in Ubers. Plus I do not want to lose that precious speed IV. Psyshock to hit Chansey and Blissey.

[pimg]498[/pimg] @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Swords Dance
- Extremespeed
- Earthquake
- Shadow Claw

Standard Extremekiller set again...

[pimg]382[/pimg] @ Choice Specs
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
- Water Spout
- Surf
- Thunder
- Ice Beam

I chose Specs>Scarf to kill Arceus, since Arceus commonly sets up on my lead. With Specs, Kyogre does 84% minimum, while Deoxys-S did enough with ESpeed to KO Arceus.

So this is my team! Rate it and tell me what to change. Just give a reason for the change.

Hello lousy918, seems likes no one has rated the team yet, so let me take a shot.

Since this is a Baton Pass team, there is literally not much I can do to it, since Deo-S/Smeargle/Dialga (the Baton Pass core) make up 1/2 the team, so most of my changes are changes to sets or EVs. For Deoxys-S, try Hidden Power Fire > Fire Punch. This does two things. 1, it deals more damage to Forry than Fire Punch does, and two, it hits Ferro without breaking Focus Sash via Iron Barbs. Yea, that imperfect IV sucks, but that only comes into play vs other Deo-S, who you tie with anyways. And yes, go for that spread of 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spd with a Naive nature, as you deal more damage to Forry and Ferro, and HP doesn't matter as much since you have a Focus Sash. Also, consider using Spikes > ExtreemeSpeed if you find that you never use ExtremeSpeed, since Deo-A isn't leading as much anymore. Next, while Dialga is wrecking everything, with your spread, Excadrill in sand outspeeds and OHKOs you with EQ. So, to prevent that from happening, a spread of 16 Atk / 252 SAtk / 240 Spd will work, as you now outpace Adamant Excadrill (Jolly still outspeeds, but if you want the jump on that, use a +Spd nature) and you retain your special power. While the loss of attack EVs may hurt, you still OHKO Blissey and T-Tar, while Chansey is still 2HKOed, so all is good there. For Arceus, a change in EVs to make it a little bit more bulky should work fine here. A Spread of 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 Spd works, as you outpace base 95s while still having the ability to sweep with ExtreemSpeed. Finally, a spread of 96 HP / 252 SAtk / 160 Spd on Kyorge will help it outspeed 0 Spd Lugia and Latios, which helps if you used Ice Beam on the switch (or any attack in Lugia's case). Finally, your team has a weakness to Ditto. It can come in on Dialga and sweep your team with +2 Dragon Pulse (ironic, since thats your teams goal). As such, I'm going to recommend trying out Specially Defensive Jirachi > Latios. With Jirachi, you have a switch in jic Ditto comes in and steals your Dialga's boosts, and you can mold it into any set you want, even a more offensive set if you feel like you can pass a Smash to it.

So, in summary:

Pros: Smashes through Ferro and Forry better, doesn't break Focus Sash vs Ferro like Fire Punch would / More Offensive spread means you score 2HKOes on both, you have Sash so HP isn't that important / Spikes gives you more hazards, making it easier for your team to sweep.

Cons: Loses out to other Deo-S, though with two attacks you'll get past it anyways / Less bulk with a more offensive spread, though its a Deo-S / Deo-A beats you 1v1

Pros: Outpaces Adamant Exca (to outspeed Jolly ones, use a +Spd nature) which would otherwise stop Dialga's sweep

Cons: Less bulk and Less Attack, though the latter isn't as important since you still gain OHKOs and 2HKOs on Bliss, T-Tar, and Chansey

Pros: More bulk to make Arceus's sweep last longer

Cons: Faster EKillers will get you, though that shouldn't be that big a problem with +2 Dialga getting good damage on it beforehand

Pros: Outpace 0 Spd Latias and Lugia, which works great if you used Ice Beam, or any attack in Lugia's case

Cons: Less Bulk, though a slower spread means that faster Base 90s can weaken you, making Water Spout weaker

Pros: If Ditto comes in and takes your Dialga's boosts, Jirachi is here to take them, can U-Turn for momentum, can make it more offensive if you wanna smash to it

Cons: Losing a powerful sweeper, though your team has Arceus, Dialga, and Kyorge, so it shouldn't be too big a loss

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Wish
- Iron Head
- Protect / U-turn
- Body Slam / Thunder Wave

Good Luck with the team, hope this helped!

Won't be running spikes, since my priority is breaking sashes and Sturdy. I'll try HP Fire though.

Yeah, I'll try this too. Only thing I'm losing is the OHKO on Blissey, but it's less common than Chansey anyway.

Pros: More bulk to make Arceus's sweep last longer

Cons: Faster EKillers will get you, though that shouldn't be that big a problem with +2 Dialga getting good damage on it beforehand

NO. lol I just don't agree with bulk.

Pros: Outpace 0 Spd Latias and Lugia, which works great if you used Ice Beam, or any attack in Lugia's case

Cons: Less Bulk, though a slower spread means that faster Base 90s can weaken you, making Water Spout weaker

I will try this, but if I find that I get killed by a +2 ESpeed, I'm reverting.

GENIUS. Forgot about that irritating blob, all blobs are idiotic. This is the bulkiest Dragon-resist with reliable recovery, or I'd consider others.

Thanks! Just realised this looks smogon. Running T-Wave to paralyze myself
