Lulz spawned all over the place...

This warstory was written by a friend of mine, although I'm in it. Don't shoot me because of it. Ok?

It was an ordinary morning, after logging into Official Server and turning on my Away for quite some time. I recieved a PM from www.standard.own aka Omnious Doom aka Dusk Overwin asking for a battle. I hastily responded saying he was away, he then unawayed himself and I challenged him expecting an easy win over him. I mean, what could possibly go wrong??

Teams:

CrossDragon's Team:

Ominous Doom's (me) Team:

Rules: Evasion Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Sleep Clause, Species Clause,
Strict Damage Clause, Timed Battle

www.standard.own sent out Aerodactyl (lvl 100 Aerodactyl ?).
CrossDragon sent out Tyranitar (lvl 100 Tyranitar ?).
Aerodactyl is exerting its pressure!
Tyranitar's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
A sandstorm brewed!

- Well, this sucks. The battle's just started and I'm already in a bad position; first off this is one of Dusk's new teams and I have no idea what he has in store, second he's fought my team quite a number of times already meaning he knows my entire team front and back, and lastly lead wise, Aerodactyl is one of the fastest little bastards around and it can possibly kill off my Tyranitar with ease and it's a damn shame I don't know what the hell it's running. Is it Support? or is it Mixed? Possibly Choice Banded? Knowing Dusk, he'll probably take this chance to attack and try and gain an early lead. So....

CrossDragon switched in Celebi (lvl 100 Celebi).
Aerodactyl used Earthquake.
It's not very effective...
Celebi lost 13% of its health.
The sandstorm rages.
Celebi is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Celebi lost 6% of its health.
Celebi's leftovers restored its health a little!
Celebi restored 6% of its health.

- A little prediction comes a long way. My Tyranitar avoids death with Celebi switching in, it's time to slow this thing down a bit. Dusk, already familiar with my Celebi; is probably expecting a Thunder Wave so chances are he'll switch to either a Ground Type to take the hit or switch in something else to absorb the status.

---
www.standard.own switched in Magnezone (lvl 100 Magnezone).
Celebi used Thunder Wave.
Magnezone is paralysed! It may be unable to move!

- Score!! I got Magnezone paralyzed! Not that it helps out much as Celebi can't scare it off with Grass Knot or HP Ice. However, this may give me a chance to set up for an early sweep! Let's see if I can pull this off properly.

The sandstorm rages.
Celebi is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Celebi lost 6% of its health.
Celebi's leftovers restored its health a little!
Celebi restored 6% of its health.

- Celebi won't be able to take the special attacks Magnezone dish out and assuming it doesn't have Flash Cannon and it's running the SubWave set, I should be able to bring in my next pokemon and start my set up.

---
CrossDragon switched in Shuckle (lvl 100 Shuckle ?).
Magnezone is paralysed! It can't move!
The sandstorm rages.

- Sweet, Shuckle comes in safely without losing any health. This also gives me a chance to determine Magnezone's item before it hides behind a Substitute and scout a bit.

---
Shuckle used Knock Off.
It's not very effective...
Magnezone lost 1% of its health.
Shuckle knocked off foe Magnezone's Leftovers!
Magnezone used Thunder Wave.
Shuckle is paralysed! It may be unable to move!
The sandstorm rages.

- Crippling Magnezone with paralysis and relieving it of it's item is a small start. I didnt expect Magnezone to paralyze Shuckle until it hit behind it's Sub. But this works as well. Time to set up now! Let's just hope Dusk is stupid enough to keep his Magnezone in.

---
www.standard.own switched in Dragonite (lvl 100 Dragonite ?).
Shuckle used Encore.
But it failed!

- Curses!! Foiled again. However, I can still set up on Dragonite if it DD's or uses anything but Outrage. Knowing Dusk, he wouldn't dare risk his Dragonite being locked into Outrage while I set up on him.

The sandstorm rages.
Dragonite is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Dragonite lost 6% of its health.

- Dragonite decides to not DD up and goes with the mediocre attack to try and harm Shuckle. I easily get my Shuckle's Encore up and running. Now it's a matter of switching in one of my sweepers and hoping for an early game sweep.

---
CrossDragon switched in Gyarados (lvl 100 Gyarados ?).
Gyarados's intimidate cut Dragonite's attack!
Dragonite used Earthquake.
It doesn't affect Gyarados...

- Mwuhahaha, Gyarados switches in without a problem. Dusk will probably bring in Magnezone to try and deal with Gyarados, right? And when he switches out I'll get in a free DD and begin my sweep.

Gyarados restored 6% of its health.
Milotic's leftovers restored its health a little!
Milotic restored 6% of its health.

- Oh my god. Fuck you Dusk. I haven't encountered a Milotic for so long, I don't even know what it runs anymore. Surf and Ice Beam is standard right? So Recover should be in the 3rd slot, but the problem that rises is: Does it run Hidden Power Electric or not? I won't risk losing a chunk of Gyarados' health by attacking. It's best to probably switch and scout a bit first.

---
CrossDragon switched in Celebi (lvl 100 Celebi).

---
www.standard.own: good night sweet prince
CrossDragon switched in Shuckle (lvl 100 Shuckle ?).

- Hmm, I should probably take this chance to rid myself of Milotic so Gyarados can start sweeping again. So I'll Toxic the serpent and stall it out with Celebi. Milotic can only 3-4HKO Shuckle at best, and Shuckle should be able to take the damage.

---
Milotic used Surf.
It's super effective!
Shuckle lost 30% of its health.

- Ok, I'll simply attack back with Grass Knot and go for the 2HKO. But will Dusk expect that and Recover off the damage? Or will he try and Ice Beam/Hypnosis me? He wouldn't dare Ice Beam me as it'll mean his Milotic's doom. So his best bet would be either Recover which'll lead to a Stall war, or Hypnosis which is also risky.

Tyranitar can't take an EQ after it DDs, neither can Lucario. Shuckle probably won't like a DD Outrage, so my safest bet is to keep Gyarados in and hope it wakes up.

Dragonite's attack was raised.
Dragonite's speed was raised.

- I'm in a load of shit right now. This isn't looking good for me at all. Gyarados seriously needs to wake it's ass up now and Stone Edge Dragonite right now.

- Ok, fuck. What the hell is this? 2 Dragons?? This does not compute! Ok, if I think logically the only reason someone would have 2 Dragons is when 1 physically attacks and the other attacks from the special side. Meaning that this Salamence is Specs! If I'm right, it'll Fire Blast my Lucario, so I immediately switched to Tyranitar to take the predicted Fire Blast. Yes, I used two Dragons. Swell move.

Salamence used Brick Break.
It's super effective!

- Ok, Salamence didn't lose any health when it attacked, meaning it's not holding Life Orb. It's obviously not Speced because of Brick Break. But the only Salamence sets with Brick Break are MixMence sets, but they run Life Orb. The only other option is that it's running Scarf or it's using another item. Hopefully it's not Scarf because I'm screwed if it is.

It'll survive and kill off the ScarfMence with HP Ice. Then I can kill of the Magnezone with either Lucario or Garchomp! It's the perfect plan, if I don't get outpredicted!!

Perdia: SALAMENCE AND MAGNEZONE RESIST ALL OF EACH OTHERS' WEAKNESSES!

- And here comes the moment of truth. My palm is sweating like crazy, it's time... to PREDICT! Do I use Dragon Claw or Earthquake? Will he switch or stay in? If I use Dragon Claw and he doesn't switch, I get blasted by a HP Ice and lose. If I use EQ and he predicts that, He'll switch to Mence and Intimidate kicks in, lowering Garchomp's attack, which is bad. What to do? Which move do I use?

The screens and comments were funny but i didn't really like the battle
I mean that Mence you are freakin about is just a standard Yachemence

Just my two cents

Really long, but really awesome. Obviously the mence was Expert Belt or Yache Berry (most likely).

Good game! More reason why Garchomp is uber...

Actually, my Mence was a tweaked SpecsMence with DM/DP/Fire Blast/BB.

Oh and hey Wiik. Why don't you appear more in you know where anymore?

That was a cool match :D, and nice Chomp comeback at the end.

In all honesty though, it's comments from fuckwits like Perdia ("I C CHOMP THAR!") which really take away from the value of this story, so I recommend removing them. That and I salute to the two battlers for being able to put up with that, but then I guess this is official and all...

Anyway once again great battle, RIP Garchomp.

Ok, I took your advice and did that. Most of Perdia's stupid lines were cut. And yes it was official, but before Smogon's server was on (like 5 months ago >_>).
