Purpose
Luring the Metagame is designed to do what its name implies, to lure pokemon with unpredictable pokemon and moves and deal with them accordingly. LtM is a balanced team that plays both as stall ad as offensive. I start with T-spikes to help make my stallinng and sweeps easier and from there I have skarm/bliss to help on the defensive side and jolteon/suicune to help offensively. The beauty is that my sets are a little unusual so many counters to normal sets dont work here, I lure them in only to kill them. This team, at first glance, may look very gimmicky and strange but upon testing it, I have learned that it wins about 90% of the time should my opponent not know my strategy. Enjoy

Team at a Glance

NIdoqueen @Choice Scarf
Ability: Poison Point
EVs: 252 HP/ 48 Atk/ 208 Speed
Nature: Jolly
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam
- Toxic Spikes
After using Nidoqueen in another team, I learned that its a great toxic spiker and I decided I wanted to use it. Toxic Spikes is very important for my team as it allows me to wear down stuff like Tyranitar and Swampert who might cause my team a lot of trouble. Also I wanted to use Queen to absorb other Toxic Spikes as a lof of my sweapers are weak to it. I used her as a lead to rush t-spikes and I got this set from my friend. This gimmicky set outspeeds anything that isn't scarfed, absorbs trick, and gets a free set up on taunt leads. If Im facing something like Metagross, I might stay in on the rocks to set up a t-spike and then go to skarmory to negate the EQ. Ice Beam helps me deal with Gliscors and Fire Blast helps me deal with stuff like Scizor, Forretress, ext. This pokemon is also my sleep absorber as after it sets up t-spikes, it doesnt do too much.

Jolteon @Leftovers
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Speed/ 252 S.Atk
Nature: Modest
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- HP (Grass)
- Signal Beam
Jolteon is one of my favorites, it absorbs electric attacks aimed at Skarmory and Suicune and should it come in to sub up, it can potentially sweep. HP grass is chosen to damage swampert as I have many ways of dealing with dragons. Signal Beam is for Celebi and Tyranitar switch ins as Ttar always likes to switch into Jolt to persuit trap it. The theme of my team is surprize and Jolteon does its job well. Also Signal Beam has a chance to confuse the opponent, which helps me get subs up. I chose leftovers because I didnt want to predict around my opponent behind a sub. Instead of constantly losing 10% health to life orb, I'll recover as they try to deal with me.

Skarmory @Shed Shell
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP/ 64 Atk/ 176 Def/ 16 Speed
Nature: Impish
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird
Skarmory was chosen to help deal with Tyranitar better (who has caused my other teams grief). SR>Spikes because t-spikes do more for me and I need to hit those dragons and flyers. With T-spikes down, Skarm can stall out a lot of physical threats (like Jolteon behind a sub). Pretty much a standard set.

Latias @Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Speed/ 252 S.Atk
Nature: Timid
- Trick
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Draco Meteor
I wanted a revenge killer and what better pokemon to fit this team? Steel/Dragon has good type synergy and Latias can take fire hits aimed at Skarmory. Normally I like to run specs/scarf but with T-spikes down, Ttar isn't as dangerous. Also should, ttar Persuits me than I can set up with Suicune. This pokemon is my answer to dragons if I predict correctly and safely switch in and trick helps me with CMers and anything that stalls or sets up.

Suicune @Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Speed/ 252 S. Atk
Nature: Timid
- Calm Mind
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- HP (electric)
What can I say, I love this suicune. To the untrained eye, this Suicune looks like Crocune with leftovers recovery (should I hide Ice Beam and HP). The beauty is that most people will switch in counters like Breloom, Celebi, and Gyarados who are all OHKOed. I went for max speed to sweep. Also this set isn't crippled by trick as much as crocune (as I have swept after being tricked). This set is pretty much guarenteed to get in two kills should I play right.

Blissey @Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 152 HP/ 252 Def/ 104 S.Atk
Nature: Bold
- Thunderwave
- Softboiled
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam
Blissey was here for a wildcard to take special hits. I use this set in my standard team for good reason and this set also goes with the theme of unpredictability. Thunderwave is for steels that like to switch in like Scizor and Heatran. HP Ice is my primary option as it normally goes with Thunder Wave but Flamethrower is there for forretress and scizor. If I paralyze Scizor I can OHKO without worry but if not I have to predict if its a SD variant or a Banded version. This unique set has litterally won me games against opponents whom I should have lost to. She is pretty beast.
Final Notes
So if you can help me make this team better so it can cover the weaknesses it has. Ive had problems with Lucario and CM Jirachi (subs espeically) so if you can think of any way to help improve on that side while still maintaining the awesomeness of this team, that would be appreciated. Since this team is focused on unpredictability, it works best in a tournament setting but can still handle itself decently on the ladder. Thanks in advance for helping me and sorry I dont have a threat list but Im no good at making those.
