With Metagrossite, Urshifu-R truly becomes a rapid-fighting master, as the newfound speed allows it to blitz through Pokemon like Eternatus and Roaring Moon, while giving it a power boost with Tough Claws. Swords Dance allows Urshifu-R to abuse the switches it produces and create heavy chuncks in one's opposing team, as even would-be checks like Arceus-Water and Pecharunt get 2HKOd by it's attacks. Ice Spinner is mainly for Dragon-types like Eternatus and Dragonite, forcing them to think twice before coming into a potential 2HKO from Ice Spinner. Urshifu-R is heavily appreciated on both offense and balance teams as an amazing wallbreaker as well as a potential sweeper. Urshifu-R's main weakness is it's suceptability to Pixilate Extreme Speed users like Dragonite and Regieleki, so checks to those Pokemon, like Hearthflame Mask Great Tusk and Iron Moth are very much appreciated. Urshifu-R also appreciates hazard setters like Swampert and Magearna, as chip from hazards makes Urshifu-R's attacks even harder to take consistently. In return, they can pivot Urshifu-R in.

Urshifu-R wird sowohl in offensiven als auch in Balance-Teams enorm geschätzt, einerseits als brutaler Wallbreaker, andererseits als potenzieller Sweeper.
