[OVERVIEW]

Machamp boasts the highest Attack stat in the tier, only contested by Flareon and Kingler. This is bolstered by its near-perfect coverage with options such as Rock Slide and Earthquake and STAB Fighting-type moves to threaten Rock- and Normal-type Pokemon, such as Golem and Clefable. This lets it perform well with paralysis support, especially with Low Kick, letting it outspeed a good portion of the tier. It also has some niche defensive utility, as its Rock resistance gives it synergy with Fire-types such as Charizard and Moltres.

However, while Machamp does hit quite hard, it lacks broad defensive utility due to its few resistances and a devastating Psychic weakness. Machamp’s poor Special stat leaves it vulnerable to special attackers like Poliwhirl, Moltres, the elusive Abra, and the ubiquitous Mr. Mime. In addition to this, its poor Speed requires major paralysis support as to not get overwhelmed by the aforementioned special attackers. The Speed issue means Machamp is equally afraid of being paralyzed, as it needs to be able to outspeed opposing Pokemon to pose a threat. All partial trappers in the tier also outspeed and take advantage of it. As if this wasn’t enough, Machamp faces stiff competition with Primeape and Golem, the former boasting Thunderbolt and a much higher Speed tier, and the latter having STAB on Machamp’s coverage options and making better use of the paralysis support needed for Machamp to work. Overall, Machamp is a very high-risk Pokemon with moderate reward, so it's not recommended for use on most competitive teams; physical attackers such as Golem, Pinsir, and Kingler take better advantage of the support Machamp needs.

[SET]
name: All-out Attacker
move 1: Submission / Low Kick
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Body Slam
move 4: Rock Slide / Hyper Beam

[SET COMMENTS]

Submission is a strong STAB option, landing a 2HKO on the likes of Golem and Clefable. Alternatively, Low Kick can bully paralyzed Pokemon with flinches at the cost of losing a 2HKO on the aforementioned Golem and Clefable. Earthquake is a nice general coverage option, hitting Fire-types such as Rapidash, Ninetales, and Arcanine. Body Slam lets Machamp become somewhat self-sufficient by spreading paralysis on its own, making switching into it risky. Rock Slide grants Machamp perfect coverage, letting it hit Flying-types such as Fearow, Charizard, and Moltres. However, Hyper Beam is Machamp’s strongest attack, allowing it to pose more of a threat late-game against paralyzed and weakened foes.

Toxic is Machamp’s best bet against partial trappers such as Charizard, Dragonair, Moltres, and Pinsir, as, otherwise, Machamp is more or less fodder. Fire Blast 2HKOes Exeggcute and threatens a burn on physical attackers such as Raticate, Fearow, and Primeape. Counter is a usable option, as Machamp's stat spread compliments this move greatly, allowing it to switch in on predicted Hyper Beams from Pokemon like Pinsir, Kabutops, and Kingler before KOing them outright. It can also deter Body Slam from users like Arcanine and Clefable. Using Machamp on a team means that paralysis support is a must-have. Due to this, Pokemon such as Clefable, Mr. Mime, and Electrode make for great partners. The former two are able to switch into Psychic-type attacks aimed at Machamp from the likes of Drowzee, Abra, and Mr. Mime, and the latter more or less guarantees something gets paralyzed due to its great Speed tier. It is best to use Machamp late-game, after the opposing team has been paralyzed.

Aw, c'mon! This can be expanded on a bit, surely! Give some examples of what that lovely Attack stat can give. Its movepool is a bit larger than what's stated too; think Body Slam, Fire Blast, and even Counter. There's also some niche defensive utility in its Rock resistance, which gives it synergy with Charizard and Moltres if you really wanna go that far.

However, while Machamp does hit quite hard, it lacks notable defensive utility due to its typing granting it few resistances and a devastating Psychic weakness. Machamp’s poor Special stat leaves it vulnerable to special attackers like Poliwhirl, Moltres, and Mr. Mime. In addition to this, Submission’s recoil and accuracy issue significantly decrease Machamp’s longevity. (This isn't really a flaw in Machamp and you can just run Low Kick for ParaFlinch without losing as much power as you'd think) Machamp’s Speed stat is also a major obstacle to its success, as it requires major paralysis support so as to not get overwhelmed by the aforementioned special attackers. These Speed issues mean Machamp is equally afraid of being paralyzed, as it needs to be able to outspeed opposing Pokemon to pose a threat. This also means that it is incredibly vulnerable to the partial-trapping (RH) moves of the tier, as they are all able to outspeed Machamp with ease. As if this wasn't enough, Machamp faces stiff competition with Primeape, which boasts more coverage with Thunderbolt and a much higher Speed tier. Overall, Machamp is a very high-risk Pokemon, and as such, is not recommended for use on a competitive team; physical attackers such as Golem, Pinsir, and Kingler take better advantage of the support Machamp needs.

Submission is a strong STAB option, landing a 2HKO on the likes of Golem and Clefable. Alternatively, Low Kick can work with paraflinch (I forgot if this was capitalised, I'll assume you're right but be sure to check) strategies, letting it bully paralyzed Pokemon at the cost of losing a 2HKO on the aforementioned Golem and Clefable. Earthquake is a nice general coverage option, letting it hit Fire-types such as Rapidash, Ninetales, and Arcanine. Body Slam lets Machamp become somewhat self-sufficient by spreading paralysis on its own, making switching in on the opponent's part risky. Rock Slide allows grants Machamp perfect coverage alongside Earthquake, letting it hit Flying-types such as Fearow, Charizard, (AC) and Moltres. However, Hyper Beam is Machamp’s strongest attack, allowing it to pose more of a threat late game against paralyzed and weakened foes.

Toxic is Machamp’s best bet against partial trapping users such as Charizard, Dragonair, Moltres, and Pinsir, as otherwise, Machamp is more or less fodder. Fire Blast 2HKOs Pinsir and threatens a burn on physical attackers such as Raticate, Fearow, and Primeape. Counter is a usable option, as its stat spread compliments this move greatly while allowing it to switch in on predicted Hyper Beams from Pokemon like Pinsir, Kabutops, and Kingler before KOing them outright. It can also deter Body Slam users like Arcanine and Clefable. It is able to switch in on a Hyper Beam and deal incredible damage as the opponent is recharging. It is able to land 2HKOs on Pokemon such as Arcanine, and can even OHKO a boosted Kingler. (What's this for? Not Counter, surely?) Using Machamp on a team means that paralysis support is a must-have. Due to this, Pokemon such as Clefable, Mr. Mime, and Electrode make for great partners. The former is (May need to re-frame this now) able to switch into Psychic-type attacks aimed at it from the likes of Mr. Mime, and the latter more or less guarantees something gets paralysed due to its great Speed tier.

Go over when best to use Machamp; eg. late-game when the opposing team is paralyzed, etc. It's fairly straightforward.

Here to help this out the door!

---------------------------------------------------

as it’s typing allows it to resist Rock-type moves.
Elaborate after this that this grants it a niche as a good partner to Fire-types, since its owning Kabutops and switching in on RS from like Nidos.

vulnerable to special attackers like Poliwhirl, Moltres, and Mr. Mime
If Psychic is the main problem here, let's add a mention of the rare Abra and spice up Mr. Mime with the title of Tier-King or Ubiquitous.

, and as such, is not recommended for use on a competitive team
"most competitive teams", we want to encourage use and exploration of the mons after all, and its not like its a Hitmonchan or Ditto. The mon isnt completely worthless.

----------------------------------

That's what I got for now, implement these things and i'll give it another look later.

Let's pack this up!

----------------------------------------------------------

Somewhere in the overview, play up Machamp's Golem Matchup, very big part of Machamp imo.

Golem Rock Slide vs. Machamp: 50-59 (13 - 15.4%) -- possible 7HKO
Golem Earthquake vs. Machamp: 133-157 (34.7 - 40.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
Machamp Submission vs. Golem: 175-206 (48.2 - 56.7%) -- 90.5% chance to 2HKO

This is upholstered by its near-perfect coverage with options such as Fire Blast, Rock Slide and Earthquake,
Rock Slide + Earthquake is completely perfect not just near-perfect. Fire Blast isnt really a staple of Machamp (hell its not even on the main set) so lets leave it out of Overview when we're selling the Pokemon.

recommended for use on mosy competitiv
most not "mosy"

Fire Blast 2HKOs Pinsir
Lets include Exeggcute, since imo thats prob the best reason to use Fire Blast on Machamp since Machamp is gonna struggle there normally. At least vs Pinsir you have Rock Slide.

rom the likes of Mr. Mime,
lets throw in Exeggcute and the rare Abra, show more examples why not. Especially since Non-FBlast Machamp struggles with Exeggcute.

----------------------------------------------------------

Implement these and you got yourself a QC 2/2! If there's any problems with your implementation and the like we can talk on Disc just hmu.
