[OVERVIEW]

* Magnezone is known as a premiere Steel-type trapper with Magnet Pull, great defensive typing, solid bulk, and a rather solid Special Attack stat.
* Magnezone's capability of eliminating key threats such as Skarmory, Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, Mega Mawile, and Celesteela make it a solid choice to add to teams that are troubled by such Pokemon.
* Lackluster Speed and common weaknesses to Ground-, Fire-, and Fighting-type attacks makes Magnezone harder to trap certain Steel-types such as Mega Metagross and Autotomize Celesteela.
* After trapping Magnezone doesn't often boast a lot of utility for teams and is usually fodder after its job is done - with some exceptions.

Moves
========

* Volt Switch lets Magnezone give momentum for its teammates while providing some damage.
* Hidden Power Fire bops Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn.
* Flash Cannon damage Landorus-T, Tangrowth, and Tapu Lele.
* Thunderbolt for Celesteela, Skarmory, and Mega Mawile.

Set Details
========

* 176 Speed EVs hits 200 Speed - fast enough to outspeed Adamant Mega Mawile.
* 164 SpA EVs guarantees an 2HKO against specially defensive Ferrothorn with Hidden Power Fire.
* An Assault Vest with the remainder HP EVs help absorb special attacks from threats such as Tapu Koko, Tornadus-T, and non-Choice Specs Tapu Lele.
* Assuming Stealth Rock in play 188 Special Attack EVs guarantee a OHKO against Tapu Lele with STAB Flash Cannon, though this comes at a cost of either sacrificing bulk or potentially being slower than some Mega Mawile.

Usage Tips
========

* This set is used for compression on trapping Steel-types while being able to take on some of the more dangerous Special Attackers within the tier.
* As Magnezone is a bit bulkier with Assault Vest and HP investment it has an easier time switching into threats and causing the opponent to potentially react to switching into a Ground-type or Grass-type. Take advantage of these situations with STAB Flash Cannon.
* Volt Turn keeps Magnezone from being a complete drain in momentum - use this move if you predict your opponent will not react with a Ground-type or Alolan-Marowak with Lightningrod.
* As Magnezone makes a good switch-in to opposing Tapu Koko it can potentially take advantage of Electric Terrain with STAB Volt Switch or Thunderbolt.

Moves
========

* Volt Switch is mandatory to allow Magnezone to not be a massive momentum drain. Volt Switch makes it easier for some of Magnezone's teammates to switch in easier.
* Hidden Power Fire is a must to secure the KO against Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn without struggle.
* Flash Cannon dents bulky Grass- and Ground-types that may otherwise take advantage of Magnezone.
* Thunderbolt is to provide more secure KOes against Skarmory and Celesteela.

Set Details
========

* A Timid nature with maximum Speed EVs allow Magnezone to trap the majority of Steel-types needed for most teams - such examples include the majority of Mega Scizors and neutral nature Celesteela.
* Maximum Special Attack maximizes damage output for Magnezone. Equipped with Choice Specs it allows Magnezone to OHKO Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, and Celesteela after a little chip damage.
* Magnet Pull is a must as it is what makes Magnezone capable of securing traps against Steel-types and preventing them from switching out outside of U-turn and Volt Switch.
* Modest can be used instead, but the risk of being slower than faster variants of Mega Scizor and Jolly Mega Mawile arise.

Usage Tips
========

* Magnezone should only double switch in the event that it is safe to do so or confident the opponent will switch into a Pokemon that Magnezone can trap. The best course of action is to either get Magnezone in with either U-turn / Volt Switch support or through a revenge kill.
* Once Magnezone traps its Steel-type opponent click on the best move to KO the opposing Pokemon. Remember that STAB Thunderbolt is stronger than Hidden Power Fire against Mega Mawile and Celesteela.
* After Magnezone has secured trapping a Pokemon it can be used either for fodder or to attempt to muscle through specific Pokemon. Specs Flash Cannon, for example, can do massive damage to physically defensive Tangrowth and Landorus-T if they attempt to switch into Thunderbolt.
* Use Volt Switch in the event that Magnezone needs to continue providing momentum and may need to either absorb an attack or safely predict an opponent's switch-in.

Team Options
========

* Pokemon that draw in Steel-types and have access to U-turn are highly recommended. Such Pokemon include Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, and Mega Scizor. All three have the capability of running Knock Off to eliminate Shed Shell from Skarmory as well - making trapping much easier.
* Ground resists or immunities can be beneficial for Magnezone. Tangrowth, Tapu Bulu, and Rotom-W can be great partners for Magnezone that appreciate some of the Steel-types that are removed from play while being great shock absorbers against many offensive Ground-types. Rotom-W is a little worse on taking things such as Zygarde, but it can handle Supersonic Skystrike variants of Landorus-T and be a decent Pokemon to switch into against Heatran - provided Bloom Doom is absent.
* Setup sweepers can greatly benefit Steel-types being eliminated. Agility Mega Metagross and Swords Dance Mega Pinsir can create a lot of devastation without a lot of extra support needed. Moxie Gyarados and Salamence can also pulverize opponents with Supersonic Skystrike while spiraling out of control with the Moxie Attack boosts. Double Dance Landorus-T can take advantage of some of the Ground-types that will be drawn into Magnezone as well while smashing through them with either boosted Earthquakes or boosted Continental Crushes.
* Mamoswine can be a great partner to Magnezone since it eliminates the troubling Shed Shell off of Skarmory with Knock Off while being a generally difficult Pokemon to switch into once bulkier Steel-types are eliminated.
* Other Dragon-types such as Garchomp, Latios, and Dragonite love having Magnezone as a partner as it helps them spam Ground-, Dragon-, or Flying-type attacks more frequently with less drawbacks.

Just getting the framework up.

- Decided to add the Substitute set. It may seem weird to put Electrium Z on Magnezone, but it has merits on completely shitting on Mega Mawile while having Substitute to play mind games or protect itself from Earthquake. Overall Substitute is a pretty cool tech for Magnezone and I felt it should be added.
- Knocked Scarf to Other Options. Incredibly niche and realistically should only be used if you're so desperately afraid of trapping Mega Metagross and are short options. Scarf Magnezone is pretty ass for Speed control too whereas some slower ones like Lele / Lando-T / Hoopa-U either have power, options to cripple, or momentum.
- Chople isn't bad and it is nice for Mega Metagross; however, you have to really scout the Metagross set and chances are it's only working a little over 50% of the time - probably less considering ladder favors Earthquake a lot to check other Mega Metagross.
