So i made this team recently, and its done pretty well for me, but I was wondering what you all would think of it and if I could improve it.
Is team time:
Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
Mega tyranitar is so ridiculously bulky. I don't think to date this guy has been ohko by a non-fighting move. Also, even with impish nature and lack of Atk evs, he can still deal enough damage to make him a threat agaisnt most, save for the annoying poison heal protect sub gliscor. Overall, just an excellent member for taking hits and striking back harder.
Breloom @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Spore
- Bullet Seed
- Mach Punch
- Power-Up Punch
Originally a sand rush excadrill, I found my lack of fighting and grass moves solved instantly with this mushroom head. Power-up punch is just wonderful, letting me set up even on resists, then taking down at least 1 more before it loses to something like togekiss. The max speed combined with the sticky web from galvantula later on in the list lets me out speed nearly anything thats not scarfed or has flying/levitate.
Rotom-Wash @ Assault Vest
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Got special troubles? No problem with the electrified washing machine. Takes shadow ball from mega gengar and doesn't even blink. Then hits right back for half of gengar's hp. The lack of will-o-wisp kinda hurts its ability to wall physical hits as well, but i have mega tyranitar for that. Something I'm currently considering though is to take some evs out hp or sp def and put it into speed to just barely out speed a mold breaker excadrill.
Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Bug Buzz
- Thunder
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Sticky Web
For all intents in purposes, this guy is here to die. Except on the very rare occasion when i see something I don't out speed with this that has a bug weakness, galvantula just gets thrown out, sticky webs, then spams the strongest move i can hit with until it dies. Not much else to comment about really.
Garchomp @ Choice Band
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Fang
Just a wonderful physical sweeper. If i don't see a steel or fairy type on the other team, I'll switch into Garchomp and then proceed to ohko 2-3 of the opponent's pokemon. The main problem with this guy though is how 3 of his moves togekiss is immune to, practically making him practically useless if i don't take it out beforehand or try to predict it with fire fang. Other than that, prepare to get mauled by this guy over and over again.
Greninja @ Assault Vest
Ability: Protean
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Dark Pulse
- Extrasensory
- Scald
At first it looks like a regular sp atk greninja, but as soon as they switch in a poke that learns high jump kick or i switch this guy after having a poke get ohko by one like blaziken, he gives them a nice surprise with a shadow sneak leading to them crashing to their doom. The assault vest was to give him at least a little extra bulk, since i don't really like spikes and all the moves i have are attacking anyways. Leftovers, i found to be rather ineffective since theres such little hp to heal. I'm considering a life orb, but unsure on whether to go through with it or not.
So there you have it, my first competitive pokemon team :D. I feel my main problem is the lack of ability to hit a fairy super effectively, but i can't really think of a good move to put in one the sets. What do you all think?
