Make the Right Choice

HHH - How's it going bros, my name is Lelouch94. It is my first ever competitive team in XY, but it already gave some satisfaction; Please keep in mind, that while I played competitive Pokemon a fair bit, I still have plenty to learn, and your thoughts, opinions and advice would be the most appreciated.
These are my six heroes which I hope will lead to victory.

So let get it started...

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
260.gif

Trait: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Avalache
- Stealth Rock

I have already test this Swampert in other team and I think that he is a fantastic
leader.
He is never a dead weight due his bulky and its attack increased thanks to the EV's,
and heis sinergy whit the team is good too. Let us now turn to the moves:
Earthquake is a good STAB that in this metagame has become even more useful and
waterfall an obvious choice. Ice Punch Avalanche is very useful to check Togekiss and dragon
types, while Stealth Rock does not require specific clarification.

Gengar (M) @ Black Sludge
094.gif

Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb
- Disable

Gengar is one of my favourite pokemon, there's no team in which he could
perfectly fit in. He has a wonderful type combination and a fantastic ability.
I decided to use Black Sludge instead of Life Orb to increase its longevity and
because this team are plenty of special attackers.
The moves are pretty standard:
Shadow Ball and Sludge Wave for STAB, Substitute for the same reason of
Black Sludge
Disable to stop some trats of these gost.

Greninja (M) @ Life Orb
658.gif

Trait: Protean
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Extrasensory

Here is my first "choice", Choice specs Life Orb greninja has an awesome Satk and a very
good speed (helped timid by nature) and he recivies the STAB boost by his ability.
Also this moveset is pretty standard: STAB, Ice Beam is necessary in order to t
ake out pesky Grass- and Dragon-types and Extrasensory for Bug-Type pokemon.

Thundurus (Thundurus-T) (M) @ Choice Scarf
thundurus-therian.gif

Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast
- Volt Switch

Thundurus is a very good mon, he has a good typing ans stats. I decided to use
t-version due to his better SAtk and with Timid nature seems good. Thunderbolt
is the main Stab, can let him revenge kill a lot of Dragon-types in the tier.
Focus Blast breaks through Tyranitar and other Fighting-weak and the Volt Switch
instead of U-turn for more damage.

Mawile (Mega Mawile) (F) @ Mawilite
303m1.gif

Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
- Fire Fang

Mawilee... this pokemon gave me a lot of problems as opponent that I decided to
use her to my advantage and I must admit that rarely lived up to my expectations.
252 Atk, Huge Power, Megaevolution is an amazing mix supported by his bulk.
Sucher Punch is the main action due to is priority, Play Rough for STAB and Fire Fang
for steel and grass type.

Haxorus (M) @ Choice Band
612.gif

Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Superpower
- Poison Jab

Choice Band Haxorus is an absolute monster and it deserves way more use than
it currently has right now. Outrage hits like a hooker who just got scammed out
of her money, that is to say extremely hard. It hits so hard that many common
steel types are 2HKOed. Earthquake hits steel types (obvious) and cocky levitate
users (not so obvious). Superpower is absolutly useful and kill a lot of trubles for
these team. I had no meay ideas for the fourth slot so i opted for Aqua Tail with
a bit of superficiality.
Poison Jab to hit harder slow fairy

Decent team. a few things tho but just my opinion
1 Focus Sash > Lefties on Gengar as he isnt going to be taking many hits. with
2 Focus Blast > Sub. on gengar if u use sash
3 Poison Jab/Iron Head > Aqua tail on haxorus for supereffective damage on fairies.
4 Life Orb > Specs on Greninja as he is frail so they force a switch and u will most likely require sacking a poke to bring it in again.
but anyway nice team, hope it goes places

Nice team you got here, but there are quite a few changes that I think would improve the overall performance of your team. Your Swampert looks good, except that I would change Ice Punch to Avalanche. The reason for this is that a lot of things, leads especially, will outspeed Swampert. Once boosted, Avalanche hits 120 BP, far more than Ice Punch's 75. A lot of flying types, especially Thundurus, and Dragons will outspeed you as well, so you won't mind the negative priority that comes with it.

Now onto Gengar. You have the right makings of a good Substitute Gengar spread, but the actual set falls flat. Substitute Gengar usually goes one of three ways: There is a Substitute + Disable Set that allows Gengar to avoid many of the potential threats to him. There is also a Substitute + Pain Split Set that provides Gengar some defensive stability, as well as a good way of reducing enemy health without attacking. Then there is a set that breaks stall with Substitute + Will-O-Wisp + Taunt. Looking at your team, I would suggest the Substitute Disable set, as you have a fair amount of things to break stall, and you might find yourself missing some passive recovery. The set is as following:

Gengar @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
- Substitute
- Disable
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast / Sludge Wave (whichever you feel you need more, here)

Now, Greninja. I see a lot of your Greninja that I feel could be changed. First of all, there's the ability. You have Torrent, when you really should be running Protean. Protean changes the type of the user to whatever the type of the move they're about to use is, when they use it. This opens up a world of offensive and defensive capabilities, with it being Greninja's claim to fame. Now that we have that out of the way, the item. Life Orb is really the only way to go as Greninja's greatest strength, beyond gaining STAB on every move, is his versatility. Choice items hinder him greatly. Now for the moveset. Greninja needs Hydro Pump for the extra power on things like Mega Charizard X. Ice Beam and Dark Pulse are good, but U Turn is detrimental. It may allow for enhanced momentum, but with the weakness of the move and the Life Orb recoil, it can really punish you sometimes, especially against the common Greninja stopper, Ferrothorn. Furthermore, you seem to have a lot of trouble with Mega Venusaur. That said, I would put Extrasensory over U Turn.

Beyond that, there really isn't much else I have to say. You have a very cool team here with a lot of potential

How'd you know a hooker who got scammed of her money hits hard lol. Anyway, a minor suggestion. I'd run 132 HP / 252+ Atk / 124 Spd on Mawile to outspeed those 0 Spd Scizors and Tyranitars so you can Fire Fang / Play Rough before they pick Mawile apart. 252 HP / 252+ Atk is better for SubPunch (which gets a lot of people off guard). Other than that, good team! Good luck on the ladder!

I just tried out your team and sub Gengar is still a monster man. However, you might wanna think about Spikes on Gren since Rocks isn't always enough
