SS OU Make way for the Victory Star!

https://pokepast.es/8ef0a1b2c99e4b55

I tried making a team centered around a surprisingly good OU threat: Victini!

EXPLANATION:

Victini's the star here, duh! It has surprisingly good stats from speed to attacks to bulk. I decided to go for an Assault Vest set with the basic elemental coverage that covers for a lot of common OU threats such as Dragapult, Dragonite, Toxapex, etc. When I tested the team on ladder, Victini usually survived for a long time and was more of a pivot / mid-game sweeper. YOu would be surprised to see how much it can do!

Swampert's gonna be your first possible lead and defensive pivot. It's another Specially Defensive wall that can quickly be used to pivot in and keep momentum, spread rocks, spread Toxic, etc. Swampert can really ruin your opponent's tactics with pivots, momentum switches, and Toxic spread.

Clefable is gonna be the third specially defensive wall (last one I promise.) Its EV spread has been made simply to survive a couple hits, maybe pivot in another member or strike back with Moonblast. One thing I noted is that it works very well with Victini, being able to Heal Bell a Toxic or Paralysis or knock out a Dark Type. This is your team's Cleric, all around support.

Ferrothorn will be your Defensive wall, and cause havoc and make your opponent think on their feet by taking away their items, setting up Hazards, or going for a Body Press. This Mon doesn't really have any hidden talent, it just does one or two things and it does them well.

Zapdos is the fabled Hazard Control! It will also act as a revenge killer with Heat Wave and keep momentum with Volt Switch. Clefable pairs well with Victini, but the momentum you could have with the fast revenger Zapdos, Hazard and Status spreader Swampert, and Cleric Clefable is unreal. They all cover each other's weaknesses and most importantly: KEEP MOMENTUM!!

Mew was the last mon I added, my team was fine with 5 pokemon, but I feel like having Mew as a setup physical sweeper really completes this team. One Dragon Dance outspeeds the whole OU unscarfed metagame (aside from Regieleki) which is a quality that I really like.

I'm not the best at teambuilding, so if there's anything I should add or any glaring weakness, feel free to tell me!!

Hi, welcome to Smogon! I am locking your RMT for the time being as the forum rules require that you provide at least three lines of descriptions for each Pokemon to explain their roles. Please read the rules carefully and look at Team Showcase to see the detail we require. PM me with updated descriptions, and I will be happy to unlock this.

Why did you choose this mon
What do the EV spreads do and why do you have it
What are all 4 moves for

Hello welcome to smogon. I’m here to help rate and improve your team. It seems you are trying to build around victini so I will try my best.
major changes
firstly,

Blissey @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Seismic Toss
- Soft-Boiled
- Toxic
- Teleport

This improves your match up against many of the special attackers in the meta from dragapult, kyurem and volcarona. All three which your team is bothered by. Teleport as you had on clef stops it from being a momentum killer.

secondly,

Urshifu-Rapid-Strike @ Choice Band
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Surging Strikes
- Close Combat
- Aqua Jet
- U-turn

I see you wanted a physical breaker. Urshifu is suggested as you can pivot it in safely with Blissey or another pivot on your team to deal massive damage. Depending on your opponents team this Pokémon can be scary.

minor changes

Zapdos @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Static
EVs: 248 HP / 220 Def / 40 Spe
Timid Nature
- Discharge
- Hurricane
- Roost
- Defog
Gave discharge over volt because it has a more power and you have several pivot mons already. Hurricane is to hit things like landorus-T better.

Victini @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- V-create
- Bolt Strike
- Glaciate
- U-turn
for the star of the team I recommend the pivot set. Garchomp is usually a switch in to Victini and you can catch them off guard with glaciate. Uturn allows you to pivot out of mons that take victini’s attacks well.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Damp
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
IVs: 0 Spe
Sassy Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Flip Turn
- Earthquake
- Toxic

The classic rocks pivot set with lefties for longevity. Fully spedef alllowing to to tank as much as possible.

These are all my changes I hope you like them here is the new team.https://pokepast.es/6243eca7ae4e8b57

Hey, so I'm going to make changes to typhlosion4's post since it's a bit more viable and better overall.

Blissey back to Clefable

Blissey is a very good sp def wall, walling pretty much all of the sp atkers in the tier, but it does allow for some momentum sapping and getting into tough spots. Clefable would be better in this spot with different evs, for now it checks dragapult and also acts as a special atking wincon, which is something you don't have.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SpD
Calm Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder
(This allows for you to check dragapult and calm mind after a shadow ball).

Landorus instead of swampert

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Toxic

Landorus is one of the best rockers in ou, and also serves as a check for many offensive mons. This set checks heatran, which was the main role of swampert, and sets up rocks and u turns out. It pretty much does the same thing as swampert, but makes you less vulnerable to zeraora (close combat), heatran (earth power), and isn't as slow and vulnerable to letting in hard hitting mons.
These were the only changes I had, and I hope this works for you :)
