Mammoths, Monkeys, Beetles, and a Dog-Thing?

As stated in the title, fire is this team's main ultimate problem and also Ground and Fighting. Mainly coming from Infernape. If you viewers could be kind enough to help me over come my problems against pokemon like: Mamoswine, Infernape, Heracross, and Lucario. Well here's my team. (Edit! Ive made a few changes, they are in red. :P)

Ambipom @ Silk Scarf
Technician
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Speed
Jolly
Fake Out
U - Turn
Brick Break
Double Hit / Pay Back / Return
My Favorite Pokemon to start the battle with, Ambipom! He's like a bad itch. He starts out the match with Fake Out, then either runs away with U Turn, or he follows up with Brick Break or one of the 4th slot attacks. Brick Break handles normal types and rocks and some steels. Double hit has a Technician bonus plus the silk scarf bonus. Payback will usually attack first, but it does get a technician bonus, plus it takes care of pesky ghosts. Return has massive damage plus the silk scarf bonus, but I dont think it gets a Technician Bonus.

Dragonite @ Dragon Fang
Inner Focus
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Speed
Jolly
Dragon Dance
Outrage
Fire Punch / Ice Beam / Fire Blast
Roost
My Physical Sweeper, the first ever Dragon/Flying pokemon in the pokemon world, Dragonite! His balanced stats make him more of a tank than a sweeper, but oh well. Dragon Dance helps his attack and speeds him up for sweeping. Outrage is Dragonite's ultimate move, 120 base attack + STAB + Dragon Fang + 2 Dragon Dances = almost unstoppable. The 3rd slot is kind of tricky. Fire Punch gives me more damage to give to steel and ice and grass types because of Dragonite's higher Attack stat. Fire Blast is a good alternative because of it's higher base damage. Ice Beam could handle things like Gliscor and Togekiss that try to stop me. Roost is of course to help Dragonite shrug off some damage.

dpmfa227.png

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Keen Eye
252 HP / 96 Atk / 156 Def / 4 Speed
Impish
Brave Bird
Roost
Stealth Rock
Whirlwind
My Physical Wall / P-hazer. She sets up Stealth Rocks and whirlwinds until the foe's team is weak enough then she weakens them even more with the ever annoying Brave Bird'ing and Roost'ing. I chose Brave Bird over Drill peck because Infernape and Heracross seem to have pretty average defenses.

dpmfa094.png

Gengar @ Expert Belt
Levitate
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid
Thunderbolt
Hypnosis
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast
Gengar, my new special sweeper. His defenses may be low, but he's fast and strong! Thunderbolt helps against Gyrados and other water types. Hypnosis puts the opponent to sleep so I can sweep away. Shadow Ball helps against things like Celebi and other psychic and ghosts. umm I dont really like the accuracy on focus blast and I dont like the part of focus punch that if you're hit while charging it, you'll flinch, because most likely...the opponent will switch as soon as there pokemon is sleep. So does anyone reccomend a good attack over focus blast and focus punch? Also, thanks to Serebii Ambassador for reccomending Gengar to me!

Dusknoir @ Leftovers
Pressure
252 HP / 76 Def / 180 SpD
Careful
ThunderPunch
FirePunch / Shadow Sneak
Will-O-Wisp
Pain Split
Ahhhh, Dusknoir. A pretty decent mixed Wall pokemon. He can also help Skarmory by keeping her Stealth Rocks on the field longer. He also helps the team by slowly sapping the opponent's health with Will-O-Wisp. I just have to be careful of Heracross with his Guts ability when using WoW and Fire Punch. As stated on the smogon analysis Pain Split is a very poor way of healing, but to some degree, it beats Rest.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Water Absorb
172 Hp / 252 Def / 84 SpAtk
Bold
Wish
Ice Beam
Surf
Toxic
Vaporeon, my special wall and wish passer. Excellent Sp. Atk and Sp. Def Stats mean that Infernape will be taken down.Wish supports my sweepers Lucario and Dragonite, and can even help Dusknoir and Ambipom heal! Ice Beam handles ground types like Hippowdon since they usually have a low Sp. Def stat and also handles Dragon types of all magnitudes. Surf takes care of rocks, grounds, Infernape (HAHA!!), and the dreaded T-Tar. Toxic helps wear down the opponent's team faster.
Also, Thanks to Venom for reccomending this set!

This is my team, please help me get over my weaknesses to the pokemon in the first paragraph. If some EV's are missing a few numbers, please dont mind them, im really in a hurry. Thanks

If you want to eliminate your Heracross and Lucario weakness, you should replace Gliscor over Skarmory. If don't want to use Gliscor, I would suggest a Defensive oriented Gyarados or Zapdos, although Gyarados has Intimidate, so you will be able to take the hits better. Mamoswine can also be handled by a Defensive Gyarados, if it does not have Stone Edge of course. I would replace

Mamoswine can be fixed with Bronzong, the best counter there is to it. I would replace Ambipom, Bronzong is a very good lead too. Like I said before, Gyarados's immunity to to Ground and resistance to Ice make it a good counter too, but beware of Stone Edge.

Infernape is handled by bulky water pokemon, such as Suicune and Vaporeon. Vaporeon can be very useful here, giving the team Wish Support, and being able to counter opposing Infernape and Gyarados. Suicune is a good option, being able to SleepTalk or be a very good Calm Mind pokemon. Vaporeon should look something like this;

Vaporeon @ Leftovers *
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 172 Hp / 252 Def / 84 SpAtk
Nature: Bold
- Wish
- Toxic / Protect
- Ice Beam
- Surf / Hidden Power [Electric]

Who to replace would be the problem though, in my opinion, I would replace either Dragonite or Metagross for it, or just experiment which pokemon would benefit more of both.

All I am gonna say is......6x Mixape Weak FTL.....

Thanks for the advice Venom, i'll get right on it :)

To Stone Cold: I know the team is weak to mixape. Read the title. and please give a rating and advice, not just say what's obvious.

Personally, Dragonite should be a salemance, and you need a special sweeper. for you Fighting and Ground issues, Alakazam, my fave pokemon, is your answer. make it some thing like this

Alakazam
Timid nature
252 Sp.atk, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Item: Focus Sash
Ability: Synchronize
Physic
Focus Blast
Energy Ball
Calm Mind

Predict a switch, Calm mind and sweep. Before you rant about Focus Blast's inaccuracy, it is one of D/P's best additions to this, as it smashes up Tyranitar. Energy Ball and Physic covers up your problems.

Salemance should be your lead, with Alakazam as your counter. if you want, use this genger instead of Alakazam...

Gengar
Timid Nature
252 Speed, 252 Sp.Atk, 6 HP
Ability: Leitate
Item: Focus Sash
Hypnosis
Shadow Ball/Physic
Energy Ball
Focus Blast

I love this set, as it can switch in on normal, fighting, ground moves, and toxic, without being affected. It can Hypnosis, cause even if they switch or use Sucker Punch, you will still have a massive advantage over them. The problem with this set is, however, it is slower and has less attacking power.

So, make your pick. Either can help this team, as it is in desparate need of a Special Sweeper

ok...im thinking of replacing dusknoir, but the problem is...I think I would be crippling Gengar the most...If I were to replace dusknoir though:
1. Would I be a good idea?
2. What should I replace Dusknoir with?
3. I need something to cover my Fire/Ice Weaknesses...

1. Dragonite does not need EQ. The dragon/fire attack combination has great coverage, though I would like to shift some of the attack evs on it into HP, since you'll be getting a nice boost from dragon dance anyways.

2. Since Vaporeon is able to take both physical and special hits rather well, I would think replacing Dusknoir for a more dedicated special tank could do wonders. Uxie comes to mind as a solid choice, running U-Turn, Psychic, Stealth Rock, and Thunderbolt. It can still function as a gyara counter due to its high defense and solid HP. Now to go with this, I'd run spikes over stealth rock on skarmory. A lot of pokemon can learn stealth rock, only a few can learn spikes. If you're partial to SR on skarm, though, Uxie could run Yawn instead to help build up more passive damage.

Do you have anymore special tanks in mind?
Also, im going to run Spikes on Skarmory
and for Dragonite, what EV spread do you recommend if I were to take a few points out of attack for HP?
