Hi there :] This is my first RMT so forgive me if I make any mistakes. Anyway on to the team :]
Manaphy @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 80 HP / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tail Glow
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
Manaphy is a very unique pokemon because of it's access to an amazing boosting move call Tail Glow. Manaphy is also famous for its ability to run a train on stall. This also helps with a very problematic bulky pokemon called mega sableye. The moveset is fairly standard. Tail Glow is for boosting up, Surf for STAB and Ice Beam for coverage. The last slot has Psychic because Mega Venusaur usually stops Manaphy. The evs let me outspeed max speed base 70's. There is no need to outspeed the zards because Manaphy can not guarantee the OHKO on either.
Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Synthesis
With the moveset I chose on Manaphy he would be susceptible to water types. This is where Venusaur comes in. He is also 1/3 of a FWG core. The moveset is straight off the analysis. Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb for STAB. HP fire for coverage against steels like ferrothorn and skarmory. Synthesis is there for recovery. The evs let me outspeed Azumarill which is a problematic pokemon against my team.
Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 12 HP / 252 SpA / 244 Spe
Timid Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Taunt
- Earth Power
Heatran is a great pokemon as it can fulfill many roles in this meta. I needed stealth rocks and something not too passive which led me to offensive air balloon tran. Fire Blast for STAB, Earth Power for other Heatran, Taunt to stop CM clef and any slower hazards setter. Speed evs let me outspeed adamant excadrill, jolly mega cross and most Mew sets.
Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 76 Atk / 180 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Knock Off
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
Since a lot of my mons are pretty slow and are special attackers, knock off Thundurus looked like a good partner. Knock Off is a great move which cripples an annoying special sponge called Chansey. Thunder Wave is also great because it can stop a sweeper or slow down stuff for Manaphy. Thunderbolt and hp ice go without saying.
Landorus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Earth Power
- Rock Slide
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
Landorus forms a nice genie core with thundurus and it appreciates special walls weakened. I have Rock Slide on lando so I can hit mega Charizard x and y, both threats to my team. Earth Power for STAB, Psychic for coverage against mega venusar and Focus Blast to hit Ferrothorn. The evs are very standard.
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Protect
Ferrothorn right now is the most underwhelming pokemon on this team. Almost every game I play with this team Ferrothorn does nothing besides set up hazards and as fodder. The most useful thing ferro does is wall the non hp fire lati@s. I use spikes because heatran already has rocks. Gyro Ball over power whip for aforementioned lati@s.
Thanks you for reading and rate fairly :]
