SV OU Manaphy Webs HO

Intro

This teams was inspired by a RMT made by PedroGreg a few weeks ago.

Manaphy
:sv/manaphy:
Manaphy @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tail Glow
- Surf
- Alluring Voice
- Substitute

When I tried it on ladder I was surprised by how good Manaphy is in OU. Manaphy is a really powerful breaker that benefits greatly from webs support. With webs Manaphy is able to outspeed and one-shot most of the metagame after a tailglow. I am running tera steel to flip clefable matchups on their head. With Tera steel no common unaware mon on stall can beat it (I imagine Quagsire would be good into Manaphy but stall is not very common right now and Quagsire isn't very popular on stall).

Araquinid
:sv/araquanid:
Araquanid @ Custap Berry
Ability: Water Bubble
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sticky Web
- Surf
- Endeavor
- Endure

Araquinid was the second mon I added to the team and is the webs setter on this team. Araquinid is running it's standard set and is usually your lead. Araquinid is so bulky that it can sometimes come in late into a game and use Custap Berry endeavor to prevent any set up sweep by an opponent in a emergency. Araquinid is a very important mon in any HO v. HO matchup

Gholdengo
:sv/gholdengo:
Gholdengo @ Air Balloon
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Recover
- Make It Rain

Gholdengo is on the team as my spin blocker. Gholdengo has been doing this for the whole generation and fills it's standard role here. I am using recover in place of coverage on this team because in testing I found that it was very hard to keep webs on the field against teams with lots of chip damage. Psychic was considered in place of Shadow Ball but the reliable stab damage of Shadow Ball feels better.

Great Tusk
:sv/great tusk:
Great Tusk @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Ice
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bulk Up
- Headlong Rush
- Ice Spinner
- Rapid Spin

Great Tusk is running the standard Booster Speed Bulk Up set. GT is extremely effective as a spinner and sweeper for the team. GT is extremely speedy to absolutely destroy Pecharunt. GT is SpD invested because a SpD invested GT is able to tank a single special attack from extremly fast special attackers. GT is bulky enough on Physical front anyway.

Weavile
:sv/weavile:
Weavile @ Choice Band
Ability: Pickpocket
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 212 Atk / 44 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Triple Axel
- Knock Off
- Ice Shard
- Low Kick

Weavile is a fast Physical Attacker that with webs support can destroy most mons. With band there are very few answers to a Knock Off. Ice Shard it extremely powerful priority and can 2HKO Raging Bolt 99.6% of the time. With this SpD investment Weavile can live one hit from max SpA Booster SpA Raging Bolt. Weavile is the team's primairy answer to Kingambit.

Ogerpon-Wellspring
:sv/ogerpon-wellspring:
Ogerpon-Wellspring (F) @ Wellspring Mask
Ability: Water Absorb
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Ivy Cudgel
- U-turn
- Power Whip
- Swords Dance

Adamant Ogerpon hits so incredibly hard with a SD it is insane. With webs up Ogerpon obliterates any other Ogerpon. U-Turn is being used as a momentum maker and a way to get some chip on any Ogerpon check. If Power Whip accuracy is a dealbraker then replace it with Wood Hammer. Ogerpon is the most replaceable mon on the whole team.

Conclusion

I am very new to teambuilding and competitive as a whole and would love any advice on improving this team. Cinderace is a huge problem for the team but as HO is a inheritely risky style I am okay with a awful matchup 11% of the time.
