Hey guys! It's been a while since I made a team, but it took a long while making a lot of improvements, which everything thing is different now. Well, let me introduce my lead.
Mandibuzz@ Red Card
Ability: Overcoat
252 Def./252 HP/4 SpD (+Def, -SpA)
-Knock Off
-Roost
-Toxic
-Taunt
Although Ferrothorn is on my team, I prefer this as my starter because of Taunt to get rid of thing such as Klefki or Saybleye. If something does outspeed it, it's most likely an attacking lead, which can be switched out as soon as possible. If that happens, it screw up stradegies if I use Knock Off when the opposing pokemon is forcefully is switched in. Gliscor, Vaporeon, etc. can fall victim to this. Although it sweeps absolutly nothing, it messes up so many stradegies.
Excadrill@ Leftovers
Ability: Mold Breaker
252 Atk./252 Spe/4 HP (+Atk, -SpA)
-Swords Dance
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Rapid Spin
Rapid Spinner/Sweeper. It doesn't normally sweep, but when Blissey comes out, they're screwed. Due to Blissey's low special attack, flamethrower is useless. So I SD 4 times, and it could sweep the whole team. Even if Blissey is not on the feild, his Rapid Spin can get out of sticky situations, plus it's high attack even before SD can really hurt teams. So, I'm glad this went back to OU (thank you nerf).
Staraptor@ Life Orb
Ability: Reckless
252 Atk./252 Spe/4 HP (+Spe, -SpA)
-Brave Bird
-U-Turn
-Close Combat
-Roost
This thing does wonders. Although the Life Orb prevents it from sweeping, it can KO 2 or 3 pokemon, creating a huge advantage to me. I orginally had Talonflame, but T-Flame desperately needs a higher attack for it replace my raptor. Plus I find Close Combat more useful on Raptor then Flare Blitz is on T-Flame. The only thing that I'm considering is replacing Roost for another atacking move since Staraptor has a generally low SpD, but I can't find better alternitives.
Ferrothorn@ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
252 SpD/252 HP/4 Atk
-Leech Seed
-Thunder-Wave
-Stealth Rock
-Power Whip
The second bulky pokemon. Although it may be the weakest link of my team, it can screw up stradegies just as much as Mandibuzz. Leech seed makes the oppurtunity to switch to one of my attackers and Stealth Rock can hurt the opposing player if I pull off another Leech Seed. Me using T-Wave can cause problems though. If I paralize the pokemon and it becomes the last pokemon, the battle becomes a whole lot longer, creating 90-110 turn battles. Also, I think that Power Whip is much better than Gyro Ball since I believe that grass hits more types super effectivly then steel.
Charizard@ Charzardinite-X
Ability: Blaze/Tough Claws
252 Atk/252 HP/4 Spe
-Flare Blitz
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Dragon Dance
My newest addition and mega. It serves pretty much the same purpose as Staraptor. Attacks until it gets KO'd. It took a while to figure out a good mega evo, picking Kangaskahn, Alakazm, and Scizor. It was perfect combination of bulk and attack to make it my mega. The reason I picked X over Y is the fact that Y's Drought will prevent power from my last pokemon with the fact that Tough Claws+STAB (I think that's what its called)= a whole lot of power from Dragon Claw.
Rotom-Wash@ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
252 SpD/252 HP/4 SpA
-Volt Switch
-Will-O-Wisp
-Hydro Pump
-Rest
I usually use this last for a reason. If the last pokemon is going stall until it wins, let the oppenent think again. This happened twice with Gliscor and Ferrothorn until it Struggles. I've won both battles averging 100 turns. It also serves good use if I use it as a normal 'RestoChesto' which pretty much gives Rotom an extra life. Although it doesn't sweep either, it walls a lot of things such as T-Flame frustrating a majority of oppenents.
Well that's it. It is also proably the last Pre-Bank team, so please give your best thoughts so I can get higher than a weak 1420 rating.
