When LC battling, I find Mareep to be useful pairedup with Zigzagoon. Here is why:
Zigzagoon, like many normal-type pokemon, is weak to the growing threat of fighting types, and its puny special defense makes it easily walled by pokemon that are becoming more and more common in Little Cup, such as Abra and Gastly. However, both weaknesses can be negated by Mareep's Reflect and Light Screen combo. Not only that, but Zigzagoon's Belly Drum-Berry Juice combo is easily ruined by the popular Knock Off Vullaby set. Finally, Mareep's ability Static may even paralyze Pokemon who try to attack and/or ruin setup.
