The Team

Hello!
Welcome to my RMT!
This isn't my first RMT but it is my most in-depth, and it involves the team that I like the best. Now, it might not play the best out of all of my teams, but it is by far my favorite. I love sandstorm. I have always loved Tyranitar, and I really like the Pokemon that benefit from the sand. It's far from perfect, but I want to make it better so it can be my favorite team and best team...
The style is somewhat bulky, a mix between bulky offense and stall, kinda, but definitely more lenient toward the bulky offense side of the spectrum. I think I've almost found a good mix of Pokemon that have good synergy and coverage, but run into trouble with a few key threats. Also, I'm not 100% confident in the move sets of a few of the Pokemon on the team.
As for the theme, I wanted to do something I know. I've been a Mass Effect fan since the beginning (I've used the same custom character for all three games!) and I know the Mass Effect universe better than anyone. Commander Shepard is a fighter - his crew needs to be resilient and precise: and that's exactly what they are.
Without further ado, let's get into it!

“Anyone who fights us is either stupid or on Saren's payroll. Killing the latter is business. Killing the former is a favor to the universe.”
Tyranitar (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 64 SAtk / 188 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Pursuit
- Ice Beam
A famed krogan mercenary and bounty hunter, Urdnot Wrex is also one of the last Krogan Battlemasters: rare individuals who combine powerful biotic abilities with the devastating firepower of advanced weaponry. A long-lived krogan who has had many adventures, Wrex has heard of Commander Shepard on his travels, and respects the Commander as a fellow warrior.
Role: In Mass Effect I always try to have a Krogan in my squad. It adds a certain... Badass factor that the other characters lack (except maybe Legion, who is pretty bad in his own rite). That's why Tyranitar is the single most badass character in the Mass Effect universe: because Tyranitar is the most badass Pokemon in the Pokemon universe. He doesn't give a shit if his typing is bad or he is slow, he makes up for it with a supreme move pool and beastly stats. The role of this Tyranitar is to set up the sand, set up the stealth rocks, and ruin the Latis' day. Granted, he normally on achieves one or two of these goals. Tyranitar's day gets ruined a lot by most of the major threats in the tier.
Possible Changes: While this is the most standard set, I think running a Dragon Dance or Curse Tyranitar set could also be really fun, probably with ChestoResto or a Lum Berry, it could really catch people off. Urdnot Wrex is a great warrior, as is Tyranitar, and should be used at their full potential.

“Fighting a rogue Spectre with countless lives at stake and no regulations to get in the way? I'd say that beats C-Sec.”
Landorus (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Force
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Garrus Vakarian is a turian, formerly with C-Sec's Investigation Division. Like most turians, Garrus had military training at fifteen, but later followed in his father's footsteps to become a C-Sec officer. He was responsible for the investigation of Saren Arterius, the Council's top Spectre, after the Alliance claimed Saren had gone rogue. Though Garrus was told the investigation was over, he decided to defy the Executor's order and pursue another lead on his own. Eventually, Garrus joined Shepard's team, to help the Commander defeat Saren and the geth.
Role: Landorus' role is... to be Landorus. Landorus is as Landorus does, ya know? Earthquake and Stone Edge are standard Landorus, while U-Turn and Hidden Power are for coverage. I decided to change my Landorus set from a Expert Belted *bleh* set to a more standard scouting/cleaning Landorus. So far, he's golden. No complaints here. Thanks for the recommendations guys, I knew this would work out for the best!
Possible Changes: None any more, unless you can convince me otherwise! Garrus is locked and loaded.

“That is why I find you so fascinating. You were marked by the beacon on Eden Prime; you were touched by working Prothean technology!”
Tangrowth @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Sleep Powder
- Leech Seed
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Power Whip
Dr. Liara T'Soni is an asari researcher who has spent the past fifty years of her life studying Prothean technology and culture, specialising in the Prothean extinction. She was born on Thessia in 2077, making her "only" 106 — little more than a child in asari terms — when Mass Effect takes place. She already has a great deal of insight into the Protheans and is a highly trained user of biotics. She is a potential romance interest for either a male or female Shepard.
Role: Mmm... Liara. Liara's role on this squad is too counter rain teams, mostly, and patch up weaknesses that sand teams normally accumulate, namely Grass and Water. Other than that, nothing really special about Tangrowth. Like Liara, you never really wanna bring them along, but sometimes you have to. Putting something to sleep is really great, so is catching off guard Gliscors and Dragons with HP Ice. Tangrowth is a Defensive beast, and packs a surprising punch too.
Possible Changes: I used to run Celebi here, but that all changed. I still could use some revisions here, I'm not 100% on Tangrowth (Her SDef is lacking), so help is appreciated! Thanks Lan119!

“So much for peace.”
Scizor (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Atk / 8 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Pursuit
Jacob Taylor is a human biotic, the main protagonist of Mass Effect Galaxy and a squad member in Mass Effect 2. A former Alliance Marine under the command of Major Derek Izunami, he resigned after surviving the geth attack on Eden Prime. Jacob is a highly experienced fighter, and is skilled in the use of assault rifles, biotic abilities, heavy weapons and tech attacks.
Role: Ahh... Scizor... So powerful, so powerful. CB Scizor's role is pretty obvious: to crush things. STAB Technician Bullet Punch is one of the most powerful hits in the game, capable of 2HKOing Pokemon that resist it. U-turn is for scouting and completing the VoltTurnTurn trifecta, Superpower is for the blobs, and Pursuit is for trapping Lati@s and others. Really helps with stall. I was going to run CB Terrakion, but I fell in love with SubSD, so I use Scizor instead. Still works pretty damn well.
Possible Changes: Umm none that I can think of, but I could run a bulkier set instead of the CB set. Or a bulkier Pokemon.

“Organics fear us. We wish to understand, not incite.”
Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 168 HP / 252 SAtk / 88 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt
- Trick
Legion is a unique geth mobile platform, designed to operate outside the Perseus Veil and interact with organics. To that purpose, it houses 1,183 geth programs, as opposed to the roughly one hundred found in other platforms, enabling it to operate independently and speak. It was created and dispatched following Commander Shepard's destruction of the Old Machine "Nazara", known to the rest of the galaxy as the Reaper Sovereign, investigating several of the worlds Shepard visited — Eden Prime, Therum, Feros, Noveria, Virmire, Ilos, and a dozen uncharted worlds.
Role: Legion is such a boss. Just everything about him is cool. He's one B.A.M.F. Rotom-W and Legion are just a couple of badasses, wrecking through everyone and everything. Well, Legion is wrecking through everyone, Rotom-W never does much wrecking. He's more of a pivot Pokemon, allowing me to counter Pokemon that normally hurt sand teams, namely Politoed and company. Volt Switch is for scouting and completes the VoltTurn combo, while the other moves are for coverage. Hydro Pump hurts, and Thunderbolt is so I can continuously ruin Gyarados's subs.
Possible Changes: I am pretty sure I want to keep Rotom-W here, I just don't know if I should change it to something else. Thanks BTzz for the great set!

“I am pure krogan; you should be in awe.”
Terrakion @ Rock Gem
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
Grunt is a genetically engineered krogan super soldier. Bred and educated in a tank, he was intended to exemplify the best traits of the krogan, and help reinvigorate his species. In the meantime, he fights alongside Commander Shepard to satisfy his natural desire for violence.
Role: TERRAKION! BOO-YAH! Nothing better than Terrakion and nothing is better than pure-bred super-Krogan. They are such obvious partners it's silly XD. Honestly, Terrakion is the biggest threat in the tier, and becomes even more menacing in the sand. His STAB is brutally good, and he hits like a truck. I use him now mostly to clean up late game. Really wrecks stall teams behind a sub, nothing you can really do to him. Kind of an all-round badass.
Possible Changes: None, really. I really like SubSD Terrakion. Lan119, once again thanks for the wonderful idea!
BIG threats:

Okay, kinda obvious here, but the meta-game is a weather war, and you always have to have the upper hand.

Super annoying...

I can out speed him with Landorus after one Dragon Dance, but it all goes downhill from there...
