Massive Atom Smasher

Of course i support the use of this potentially dangerous device. Also, It's not an "ATOM SMASHER" If i am correct i think it is named the Hadron collider. For colliding particles with masses and sizes many times smaller than an atom.

Stephen Hawkings calculations indicate the presence of Mini-Black holes, but on the same sort of scales as the particles that they are colliding. I think people who support this "We are all going to die" threory are pessimistic assholes, who have nothing more to do than cause panic among the masses.
 
I agree with the general Slashdot consensus that the fears are wildly unfounded. The energies involved in these collisions are already naturally occurring on massive scales.

When presented that way, you can see it like someone being afraid of putting a fire in their fireplace, believing they'll burn the entire world, and ignoring the fact that wild fires occur naturally.
