Mavariks - A balanced OU team

Hey I'm Akhax I've been playing pokemon since Gold and got into competitive battling in Gen IV. I have been trying out a few teams on the PS ladder and this team really seems to fit my style. I have reached around 1650 but can't get much higher.

Team at a glance:

1. The Lead:

Landorus Therian
Intimidate

Adamant
4HP 252 Att 252 Spd

Knock Off
U-Turn
Earthquake
Stone edge

I often lead with scarfed landorus T due to the surprise factor of its speed. It often causes latios or greninja leads to appear and die to U-turns. Charizard leads are also decimated and it puts a large chunk into deoxys/uxie. I considered the bulky pivot with stealth rock but my team really appreciates its speed and huge power.

2. The Staller

Venusaur
Overgrow
Venusaurite
Bold
252HP 128Def 128SDef

Leech Seed
Synthesis
Giga Drain
Sludge Bomb

Meet my mega. Unless the opponent is packing flying or psychic type STAB, this beast is not going down. Using leech seed, megasaur can stall out anything that does less than half damage. The list of pokes I've out stalled are endless but heatran is one of my favorites as it just cannot win without a lucky crit. Skarmory can come in to absorb psyshocks and rotom-w takes brave birds all day.
I chose the EVs to be bulky on both sides but if there are any tweaks I'd be happy to hear them.

3. The tank

Conkeldurr
Guts
Assault Vest
Adamant
252HP 252Att 4SDef

Knock Off
Drain Punch
Mach Punch
Ice Punch

AV conk is pretty much indispensable, which is irritating due to how hard it is to obtain as its entire moveset is not learned by leveling. It can tank nearly every hit and recover HP with drain punch. Knock off is for utility and ice punch is for gliscor/landorus, dragons and flying types. Conk is such a beast I have even seen it survive Brave Birds from Tflame. It's weaknesses are shared with venusaur which can be annoying and puts extra strain on skarmory and rotom w but my team just doesn't function without it. I'll happily switch it out if there is a better alternative.

4. The Wall

Rotom -Wash
Levitate
Leftovers
Bold
252HP 208Def 4SpA 44Spd

Hydro Pump
Volt Switch
Will-o-wisp
Pain Split

Standard defensive rotom-w. I know it's overused but I need a good talonflame counter and ice-resist and it fits the bill perfectly.
It forms a great core with venusaur and Tflame as well as a volturn core. It partners beautifully with Lando-T as it resists water and ice and its grass weakness is covered by skar, Tflame and venusaur.
The speed EVs allow it to outspend and burn azumarill making it a great counter. It also counters hippowdon, donphan and most water types.
Pain Split takes advantage of its low HP and habit of getting burned and worn down.

5. The De-fogger/physical wall

Skarmory
Sturdy
Leftovers
Impish
248HP 236Def 24Spd

Stealth Rock
Defog
Roost
Brave Bird

I have gone back an forth between this and mandibuzz and settled on skar. It works as a stealth rock setter and remover and can break past most hazard setters bar heatran, infernape and ferrothorn.
The EVs allow it to reach an odd HP number and out speed most defensive pokemon.

6. The Sweeper

Talonflame
Gale Wings
Choice Band
Adamant
4Hp 252 Att 252 Spd

Brave Bird
Flare Blitz
U-Turn
Steel Wing

The monster himself. I was reluctant to use talonflame after the hype but many of my teams were swept by it before I realized its power. Merely the presence of it on the team preview causes the opponent to strive to get rocks up. I have meddled with the 192HP 64Speed variant but the ability to outspeed pinsir's quick attack is invaluable.
CB Tflame can OHKO some of the biggest threats in the game such as megazardY, conkeldurr, Megasaur, mega mawile and pretty much anything not invested in defense that does not wield extremespeed. Talonflame a rock weakness is mitigated by conkeldurr and its electric and water by landorusT and rotomW respectively. I use talonflame as a late game sweeper or an emergency revenge killer to a sweeper.

Conclusion:
I have some troubles with megazard X and Y and usually end up stalling the latter out of sun by switching between rotom-W and skarmory. Heatran also can be problematic as can aegislash, Megados and dragonite (w extremespeed).
I'm happy to consider any suggestions and thanks for rating my team.
:)

Hey! Gonna drop by some suggestions. Switch Landorus' nature to Jolly, as you will need every ounce of Speed in order to effectively revengekill as many Pokemon as possible. Also, I suggest you switch M-Venusaur to a specially defensive variant with a Calm nature, as Rotom-W and Skarmory will handle physical threats well. I suggest running 20 Speed on Conkeldurr in order to outspeed Hippowdon, which will just stall you otherwise. I would maybe try Whirlwind instead of Brave Bird on Skarmory, as it discourages setting up, although you do become a Taunt bait. For your CB Talonflame I suggest W-o-W instead of Steel Wing. Steel Wing doesn't frankly hit anything, and W-o-W lets you wear down your checks, and cripply physical attackers.

It's true that Char-X might be problematic your team, but your best bet is to try and revenge-kill it at +1, as a Jolly Lando-T outspeeds +1 neutral natured Char-X. Your second best bet is to bring in Talonflame and take care of it with BB. Same strategy goes for Char-Y. For Aegislash, you have plenty of options, depending on set. M-Venu takes SubToxic, you can bur with Rotom-W, or play mindgames with Conkeldurr. Whirlwind on Skarmory could alleviate the problem of M-Gyarados. Whirlwind on Skarmory also helps with Dragonite. Hope this have been of help!

Thanks that helps a lot. I'll try out the jolly nature but it seems like a lot of firepower will be lost from that 145 BS.
I like the will-o-wisp on Tflame and I'll give spdef venusaur a try.
