Introduction

Hello. I am Ubiquity, otherwise known as Ladder Testing. I've been battling competitively since gen 4, and been playing Pokemon games quite earlier than that. I've recently entered gen 6 and I've been surprised by the power shift to megas and what not. I've been running Hyper Offense for a while and this is a team that took some time to think up but it has given me a lot of success. The account I am testing with is SupaStyle, which has peaked 1650+ in about 50 battles of testing. I'm generally an adaptable player, which means win conditions can sometimes change depending on the teams I face. Mawile and Dragonite act as my main sweepers, but battle conditions can change that to of Heatran or Keldeo.

Team Building

My first task was to find a core that works. I've tried many cores before deciding on an offensive one that involves Mega-Mawile and Dragonite. I chose a set-up sweeper Mawile and a Band Nite.

thundurus.gif

My next goal was to find paralysis support and hazard support that would help Mawile sweep and Dragonite clean up. Thundurus was added because of his ability to screw up any set-up sweeper and punch holes in the pokemon of the other team to allow easier sweeps.

For Hazard Support, I chose Deoxys-D for it's ability to get rocks and spikes down with ease against most of the metagame and to allow for an additional paralysis support in order to cripple things that threaten Mawile and Dragonite.

Next, I needed a fast water sweeper that could punch holes in the enemy team and also take fire, rock, and ice attacks that threaten Mawile and Dragonite. There were three considerations that were made, but Keldeo won out because of the ability to hit from both ends of the defensive and special defensive spectrum with Surf and Secret Sword. Also the use of calm mind added another set-up sweeper that can function as a win condition at times.

Lastly, I needed a steel killer, anti-Talon spam when Mawile and Thundurus die, a bulky attack mon, and a general Fire-type for the coverage. I chose Heatran as a bulky attacker that has very many key resistances that allowed him to switch in often and wall many pokes including Talonflame and Charizard-X without Earthquake. I use Sub-Tran to get attacks off and to predict what the enemy does next.

The Team!

deoxys-defense.gif

Deoxys-Defense @ Red Card
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Magic Coat
- Thunder Wave

A very key member of the team, Deoxys-D helps get hazards up, quickly. Stealth Rock and Spikes damage builds up as the opponents switch and allows Dragonite and Mawile to sweep with priorities. In the case of a fast threat, Thunder Wave is useful in neutralizing that threat by slowing it down and making it easy for the slower, but more offensive pokemon such as Dragonite, Mawile, and Heatran to destroy it. Magic Coat is used over Taunt due to it's sheer usefulness. Magic Coat works like Magic Bounce and makes sure Taunt/Hazards/Status reflects back to the user and cripples them. 0 Attack is used for Foul Play reasons.

thundurus.gif

Thundurus @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 Def
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Thunder Wave
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt

Thundurus is a very good pokemon that fits easily on my team and is used as a setup stopper. Thunder Wave cripples most if not all Pokemon and makes it easy for killing by the slower but more offensive pokes on my team. Focus Blast nets 2HKO's to OHKO's on threats to my team such as Tyranitar/Excadrill. Hidden Power Ice gets pokemon such as Gliscor, Garchomp, and Landorus that otherwise can run through most of my team bar Keldeo. Thunderbolt is general STAB and kills any and all avian pokemon. Thundurus is a general hole-puncher and wallbreaker for this team. 0 Attack again stops Foul Play.

keldeo.gif

Keldeo @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Surf
- Secret Sword
- Icy Wind

Keldeo is a great and fast wallbreaker and set-up sweeper for this team. Leftovers is for general survivability and passive recovery. EV's are for max speed and hitting prowess. Calm Mind helps jumpstart a sweep by boosting S. Atk and S. Def. Surf and Secret Sword are useful STABs that hit most pokemon effectively or at least neutrally and cause major damage. Icy Wind is useful for slowing down faster threats that switch in or dragons/grounds that may be 2x or 4x weak to it.

heatran.gif

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 Spd
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Ancient Power

Heatran is the bulky Fire attacker on my team. It can stop threats such as Talonflame cold and proceed to sub to safety and rack up some damage while they stay in or switch out. Heatran is 4x resistant to Bug Buzz and Hyper Voice which makes them not an issue when subbing. Flamethrower kills most Steels that switch in on Dragonite and Mawile. Earth Power helps get opposing Heatran and works like Earthquake, hitting a majority of the metagame effectively or neutrally. Ancient Power is a weird choice here, but helps stop Volcarona, Talonflame, Pinsir, and anything 2x or 4x weak including birds. This helps as well due to the rare (hax it up) chance to boost stats which makes Heatran more threatening.

dragonite.gif

Dragonite (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- ExtremeSpeed
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake

Dragonite works as a powerful Banded attacker that can wreck most of the metagame with Fire Punch/EQ/Dragon Claw and a powerful super-priority user that can clean up any messes and near-kills that my other pokemon leave behind. Dragon Claw is necessary STAB that hurts anything that isn't steel or fairy, Fire Punch hurts same Steels, and Earthquake hit steels/rocks/anything that resists or is weak to it. Dragonite is the main cleaner that can end matches quickly.

mawile-mega.gif

Mawile (M) @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 248 HP / 8 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Play Rough

Sub-Mawile is very dangerous, yet many don't use Substitute on it. Sub-Mawile works on one principle. Powerful Sucker Punches that 2HKO/OHKO many pokemon. Swords Dance is there to boost Attack when available, which leads to easy sweeps given that the enemy isn't doing anything about it. Sucker Punch is powerful priority that hits a majority of the game and helps clean up any weakened pokemon. Play Rough is used for priority users that are faster than Mawile or anything that Sucker Punch can't generally hit.

So that's my team! I hope you enjoyed reading and be sure to give this team a rate.

Considerations
AncientPower to Roar on Heatran to disable setup sweepers and rack up hazard damage.
Defiant Thundurus to abuse defoggers on Deoxys-D.

Like u say, change prankster to defiant for thundy.

Your mawile set is a mix with su punch and SD set:

Subpunch

Mawile (M) @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 248 HP / 8 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Play Rough

Swords Dance

Mawile (M) @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Fire Punch
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Play Rough

Both sets are not walled by steels. Yes, sucker punch hit x1, but if they don't attack (ferrothorn) u are fucked. Sucker punch has only 8 pp. I suggest u the subpunch, even if u have keldeo.

U can think to use hp flying over icy wind for keldeo, because venusaur walls u.

Deoxys-D / Thundurus / Keldeo / Heatran / Dragonite / M-Mawile

Hello Ubiquity ! You got a really nice team here, and hyper offense is a great way to play in the meta right now. First off when looking at your team I can basically see it working around SubSD M-Mawile, but then again do see some problems on this team as well, mainly Mega-Venusaur and other Hazards. Therefore I decided to see what that could be changed too improve your team against these threaths.

First is Heatran, it really doesn't serve any specific role and it really just slows your team down, what I mean about that is that Heatran can easely lose momentum for you which is not a good thing on a hyper offensive team like this. I will therefore suggest than you run Excadrill over Heatran as Excadrill can provide you with spinning, but also act as a nice pivot with Assaut Vest and let you handle Aegislash a lot easier as this Excadrill can tank 2 shadow balls easely after rocks, tho you should be aware of sacred sword, it also beats the very annoying Flamethrower/Fire Blast Clefable which your team can have some absolute problems without Assault Vest on Exca.

Next changes I will suggest is running a SubPunch set over your current Swords Dance set on Mega-Mawile, I will also highly suggest you run enough speed to outrun 16 speed Quiet Aegislash so you can hit it before it hits you, this can atually be game changing in some situations. Also the SubPunch set packs quite the punch epecially when you are behind a substitute. I will also suggest running Specs Keldeo over your current Keldeo just so you hit as hard as possible as fast as possible, and run HP Flying to hit Mega-Venusaur, then you should run Outrage over Dragon Claw on Dragonite as the extra power is really appreciated, just be aware off faires and you'll be fine. So with that said, your team looks great, and I hope these changes will help have a nice day.

Final Product: Deoxys-D / Thundurus / Keldeo / Excadrill / Dragonite / M-Mawile

To recover 1 ps extra with leftovers on heatran you must heave 248 evs in HP. But I think that you can give some evs in speed to outspeed other heatran special defender (usually thay ave 8 evs in speed).

You forgot 4 evs on d nite.

I agree with bluwind and dalai_drama to give specs on keldeo. Another thing that you can do if you make mawile s dancer is to give choice scarf on d nite to outspeed latwins.

Hafe fun with you team!!
