RU medicham

Medicham @ Life Orb
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Zen Headbutt
- Thunder Punch
- Bullet Punch

Doublade's splashability and excellent defensive presence made it hard for Medicham to flourish in RU; it was able to switch into Medicham with ease every time. However, since Doublade's recent departure of RU, Medicham has lost its best offensive counter, making it an excellent balance breaker due to Pure Power and great STAB attacks that are hard to switch into. Gligar leaving was also beneficial to it, as it lost an extremely common check and can now run Thunder Punch to hit pesky Water-types with no drawback. It does, however, struggle to beat some of the great Psychic-types in RU, making Pokemon like Cresselia and Uxie excellent counters. For this reason, teammates that can remove Psychic-types, such as Drapion and Escavalier, make great wallbreaking cores with Medicham. Other Fighting-types, such as Toxicroak and Passimian, can form powerful Fighting-type spam cores alongside Medicham to wear down each other's checks. Medicham also appreciates slow VoltTurn support from the likes of Mega Ampharos and Flygon, as its bulk doesn't allow it to switch into most attacks.
