Team Building Process:
I started off with a core of Absol + Volcarona. They cover each others weaknesses pretty well. I usually keep one healthy to sweep, and use one as a wallbreaker depending on the opponents team.
Next, i need a defogger to keep them healthy since absol cant switch into abuse magic bounce consistently, and a rocker. I decided to go with sd/rocks chomp + latias at first, but later decided tank chomp + zapdos would be better so im not as weak to bisharp, and tank chomp can also take strong priority better for absol and volc, which is another thing the team was struggling with.
Originally, i had av tornadus + quagsire to counter keldeo + zard x and a bunch of other stuff, but i decided to switch it up and go life orb torn once i added amoongus, since torn no longer had to be the keldeo switch in. However, this opened up a giant hole to zard-x. Despite this, i have been working on the team based off the original core and oeaked in the 1600's and now want some advice to really make this work. Absol is very underrated but soooo strong.

Volcarona @ Life Orb
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fiery Dance
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Giga Drain
- Quiver Dance
Star #1 of the show. It can totally obliterate unprepared teams. I chose fiery dance over flamethrower or fire blast because if it gets +1 it outdamages both as well as being more accurate than fire blast. I have also had it come in clutch by giving me boosts when i could not quiver dance to beat some slower/fatter teams once they are weakened. Weak to rocks, hence defog support + magic bounce absol.

Absol @ Absolite
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Play Rough
- Swords Dance
"why do you have this fodder on your team?" shhh this thing is an absolute monster. Nothing resists fairy + dark coverage in OU(?) and it has a juicy 150 base attack, and an amazing 115 base speed. After an SD, it will kill multiple pokemon, no questions asked. It has faster priority than most pokemon, such as scizor, talonflame, azu, and can KO them with sucker after a small amount of prior damage (usually coming from helmet chomp). Magic bounce also forces a lot of things to attack you that would normally try to status (chansey, THUNDURUS WHO YOU OUTSPEED AND OHKO, and many more.) It can be played sort of like a fast bisharp, with more attack and cant be statused. Which is really fucking scary if played right.

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 248 HP / 156 Def / 104 Spe
Impish Nature
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
Standard tank chomp, just to do 942394% with helmet+skin and set up rocks. I chose toxic over fire blast because +2 absol shits on ferro and non-mega scizor cant switch into absol or it loses to knock off+sucker, and volc shits on ferro + mega scizors.

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SpD
Bold Nature
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Keldeo + thundurus switch in that can put something to sleep which may cost the opponent the game if it allows absol or volc to set up. it also checks stuff such as diancie (who 6-0'd the old version of this team).

Tornadus-Therian @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 76 Atk / 180 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Hurricane
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Taunt
I was TORN (pun) between life orb and AV, but eventually decided on life orb to prevent opposing set up with taunt, and just overall do more damage. Whenever i see a gengar i regret this though... opinions here would be nice. Life orb opened up a hole to lati's but absol can usually revenge them or predict and set up to sweep since it outspeeds, especially if the lati already draco'd for -2.

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 148 Def / 112 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Discharge
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Defog
- Roost
Bisharp check and defogger. I chose hp ice over heat wave because discharge can usually take care of bisharp and hp ice prevents tank chomp from getting up rocks. Discharge over tbolt or volt switch for the chance at hax (an electric scald cant be bad). Also checks stuff like pinsir and talonflame, since garchomp can only do so much vs them.
Threat list: zard-x, clefagle, weavile
