Tried to build this team around mega aerodactyl, as I thought it would be a good late game sweeper. Works well in my expirience.
Aerodactyl (Aerodactyl-Mega) @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Hone Claws
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Thunder Fang
Strategy is: send it out when you are pretty much set for sweeping the oponnent after he is weakend and his physical walls are gone. Hone Claws is for the almost 100% accurate Stone Edge and the nice attack boost. Earthquake is for the amazing coverage that Edgequake gives you. Thunder Fang is for covarage, but feel free to switch it for any other move like Fire Fang or Crunch. You can also get rid of Hone Claws for a 4th move, but in that case I recommend switching Stone Edge for Rock Slide.
Before Mega, Aerodactyl should have Pressure, but you can give him Unnerve which is very situational.
Claydol @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Earthquake
Claydol is my favorite spinner. Immunity to sticky web, spikes and toxic spikes and a ressitance to rocks is great. I thought it might make a good support pokemon and gave it dual screens with Light clay, but there might be something better for it. Earthquake is there for attacking. Feel free to change it to a calm nature and giving it Earth Power instead of Earthquake if you feel like 4 Physical Attackers are too much.
Cradily @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Giga Drain
- Toxic
- Protect
We already have 2 Water weaknesses (and there is more) so I needed something with Water Absorb/ Storm Drain/ Dry Skin, and Cradily seems to fit. It has a great typing and nice defences.
I gave it Stealth Rocks just because, but switching it for Leech Seed is viable. Giga Drain is for restoring health (teamed with Leftovers and protect) and Toxic is for taking down enemies.
Empoleon @ Assault Vest
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 176 HP / 252 SpA / 80 Spe
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Flash Cannon
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass]
Empoleon is one of those guys that can take a hit well and hit back. Assault Vest looked good on Empoleon. Scald is for STAB and the occasional burn, Flash Cannon is another good stab. Ice Beam and HP Grass are for coverage. You can change HP Grass for Grass Knot but I like being sure of the damage.
Heracross @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
ScarfCross is scary. It's an excellent revenge killer and late game sweeper, and the Moxie gives it the snowball effect. Close Combet is the best move on Herracross, and Megahorn is also great. Knock Off is pretty much a given, and Earthquake is for coverage but feel free to swith it for Rock Slide/ Stone Edge/ Rock Blast.
Darmanitan @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt
- U-turn
This thing! An amazing revenge killer. Switch it on a weakend pokemon and Flare Blitz it to death. EQ and ZH are for coverage (As with Herra, feel free to switch one of them for a Rock move) and U-turn is for momentum.
