ORAS OU Mega Alakazam Hazard Stacking Balance - Peak 1414

Hello Smogon community!
Over the last weeks I built over 10 teams which were all solid, but only the best will make it into the forum. This team is very OU standart, but be excited for Nidoking, Porygon Z and Dragon Dance Zard Y in the next weeks.

This team has way more potential than just the 1400s, but since I focus more on building than playing.
When I build a team and it goes up from the bottom to the 1400s, its going into the forums.
Its that simple.

Lets start with the team Preview:

This looks so standart, how is that even fun? Wait and see.

This teams concept is to widdle down your opponent with hazards by forcing switches and phazing, so that the two sweepers can clean up. This is an alternative way to the standart teams relying on wallbreaking.

Joker (Azumarill) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Superpower

Most teams in the current metagame are prepared for banded Azumarill, but Belly Drum Azumarill - even tho very common - still has lots of viability paired with wallbreakers or hazards.
168 speed enable you to outspeed uninvested base 75 Pokemon. This is mainly for Mega Scizor, whos Bullet Punch can stop your sweep.

Azumarill generally struggles with: Keldeo, Latios/Latias, (Mega)Scizor, Unaware Clefable, Ferrothorn.
To deal with all of these, I chose Celebi and Heatran for this team.

Sour Cream Onion (Celebi) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 112 Def / 132 SpD / 16 Spe
Calm Nature
- Recover
- Giga Drain
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock

Ok, calm down. I'll explain it all.
16 Speed EVs make it outspeed Adamant Bisharp avoiding the Pursuit Trap.
132 SpD + Calm Nature allow it to switch in on Life Orb Latios, taking even 2 Dracos after Rocks.

Why would you need the SpDef if you cant even touch Latios?
Well, i can.
I can Life Orb stall Latios if it doesnt have Roost.
More importantly I can T-Wave it so that Azumarill has an easier time sweeping.
Stealth Rocks are very good, cause after switching into Azumarilsl, Keldeos or Slowbros attacks, you easily get the chance to set them up for free.

Wacken (Heatran) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Toxic
- Taunt

Heatran has great defensive synergy with Celebi, tho i still decided to run a Stallbreaker set with Magma Storm. What doesnt get destroyed by Magma Storm or Earth Power gets toxiced.
Also deals with any Clefable variant in the game.
Be careful with it, tho. I often times switched in into attacks that only bulky Heatran could take.

Briar Rose (Ferrothorn) @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 248 HP / 92 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Protect

Standart OU Utility Ferrothorn.
- eets up Spikes to help Azu or Zam sweep
- enables free switches with Leech Seed
- punishes Dragon Dancers with Gyro Ball
- recovers health and locks scarfers with Protect

Zamantha (Alakazam) @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Substitute/ Hidden Power Ice

Timid Alakazam outspeeds every non scarfer in OU baring Mega Aerodactyl while still hittting incredibly hard. This Pokemon really profits from hazard stacking, securing the KOs it needs.
I chose to go with Psychic over Psyshock, because I am not trying to wallbreak, but to sweep.
Substitute helps with Bisharp and surprises your opponent, while HP Ice kills Lead Chomp, which this team doesnt really have an answer for.

Tabasco (Gyarados) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 104 Def / 156 SpD
Careful Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Dragon Tail
- Waterfall

Gyarados palys a supportive role, dealing with both Zards, Intimidating threats and phazing your opponent into taking hazard damage.
With Heatran and Celebi, it forms an amazing Fire Water Grass core while also having psychological uses:
- Gyarados and Alakazam in the team preview dont give away your mega, since both are viable non mega Pokemon.
- As soon as Gyarados comes in, people have to switch in their physical wall fearing the Dragon Dance set.
- Lots of people have never seen this set and are confused.

I am having great success with this team and think it is very solid while still bringing innovative sets.
Unfortunately I can not bring you any replays, cause my browser doesnt quite support Pokemon Showdown and some thigns just dont work properly.
