Hi! I've been playing Pokemon for quite a while and I've been able to make teams in the past that have given me good results. Today I've decided to summit for the time a team to see what other people think about it.
The team is intergrated with:
Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Defog
- Brave Bird
- Roost
This Pokemon's main job is just to get rocks up against the other team, and if possible, to mantain rocks of my side of the field. Like any Skarmory, you switch it in to take any physicall move and make sure that the rival takes a little bit of damage do to the Rocky Helmet. The EV spread is just max HP and Def. with the last 4 EVs in speed.
Alakazam-Mega (M) @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 36 HP / 52 Def / 204 SpA / 216 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Calm Mind
Mega Alakazam is an amazing mid-late game sweeper. It is incredibly fast and is able to outspeed a lot of Pokemon, even if they're Scarfed. After 1 boost it really can dish out high damage and with Trace you can even take advantage when you're up against a weather team if you manage to trace Swift Swim (rain team), Sand Rush (sand team) or Chlorophyll (sun team). The EV spread is made so it can out speed M-Lopunny, M-Beedrill and Choice Scarf Landorus if it's adamant, and it has enough defense and HP so it can switch in freely against a Landorus so it can trace Intimidate, lower their attack and survive an EQ. A perfect Pokemon to setup against is Heatran since it will trace Heat Proof, this means Heatran will have to attack with other things such like Flash Cannon or non STAB Earth Power, the only thing to make sure that it doesn't have Roar.
Sharpedo @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Ice Beam
- Protect
Sharpedo is one of the best late game sweepers from UU, so I decided to bring it to OU and it has done wonders. It can one shot a lot of Pokemon with either of it's moves. If rocks are on the opponent's side of the field , it really helps out this Pokemon since it breaks Sturdy, breaks Focus Sash and sometimes is needed to do enough damage for Sharpedo to kill.
Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Knock Off
Conkeldurr is the best counter to M-Alakazam's biggest fear, Bisharp. It has the abilty to switch in to a Burn, Toxic or Thunder Wave and take advantage of those. Knock Off is there for Psychic type Pokemon and especially to get rid of items such as Eviolite. Conkeldurr is just a good Pokemon that I found that would help this team out.
Landorus-Therian @ Assault Vest
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off
- U-turn
The reason I decided to go AV instead of Scarf is so I could bluff and when they least expect it, switch move. Even with out the Scarf, Landorus is a great pivot since it can cause a lot of switches.
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
Rotom's job: take hits and burn everything. This Pokemon can switch in against EQ from anything except Pokemon with Mold Breaker such as Excadrill. It's a great Talonflame counter, a Pokemon that can really threaten the entire team with it's priority Brave Bird. Once Rotom is getting low, just click Pain Spit so it can gain back some health so it can keep on battling!
Like all teams, this team has threats. The main threats I've come across with this team are the following Pokemon:
The reason that Scizor and M-Scizor are a big threats to my team is because of my team not having any Fire type attacks. The main way of dealing with this Pokemon is with Skarmory.
Ferrothorn has the same problem with Scizor, no Fire type attacks on this team. The only way to get past this Pokemon is Drain Punching it with Conkeldurr or with the risky Focus Blast with M-Alakazam.
Clefable is here because I have no way of hitting it with a super effective move.
It doesn't matter if its mega or not, Sableye is another Pokemon that I can't touch.
What do you guys think of this team? I think that its a decent team that I have a lot of fun playing with. Any opinion is accepted.
