Another UU Mega, Mega Beedrill features the most powerful U-Turn in the game. For this reason, that is the gimmick of this team. After getting used to UU with my previous team, this team is (almost) full VoltTurn:

Mega Beedrill.gif

Beedrill @ Beedrillite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Jolly Nature
- Protect
- U-Turn
- Poison Jab
- Drill Run Knock Off

Beedrill is the star of the team and the reason VoltTurn is the base of this team. Its U-Turn is, thanks to Adaptibility, literally the strongest in the game. The set is fairly basic. It needs Protect to get off a free Mega Evolution, U-Turn and Poison Jab to make maximum use of Adaptibility and Drill Run for coverage, mainly against Nidoking. Adamant nature is taken over Jolly in order to get a chance at OHKO'ing Nidoking:
252 Atk Mega Beedrill Drill Run vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Nidoking: 240-284 (79.2 - 93.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Mega Beedrill Drill Run vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Nidoking: 264-312 (87.1 - 102.9%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO
Jolly nature and Knock Off come in to outspeed and OHKO Scarf Chandelure

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Roar

I know this is gonna make me look bad already, but trust me, this is the only Pokemon on the team that doesn't know U-Turn or Volt Switch and it's the reason it's almost full VoltTurn and not actually full VoltTurn. It is used a physical wall, which is something my team definitely doesn't lack, as you will see later, but has to be used as I needed a fire resist. If anyone gets me a replacement for this, I'll be more than happy to oblige. Now, onto the set.
SR and Roar are used to get maximum annoyingness, Scald is used to cripple my opponents with burns and Earthquake is used for straight damage. The Relaxed nature is used to get maximum effectiveness out of Scald and Earthquake.

Vaporeon.gif

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Scald
- Baton Pass

Vaporeon is the replacement for Swampert that I was waiting for. Sure, it doesn't learn Volt Switch or U-Turn, but it does get Baton Pass, which does the same thing. It is also capable of taking special hits much better than Swampert and provides Wish support, which, on a team that is supposed to switch a lot, is huge. Protect is used for when it needs to get the Wish for itself, Scald is STAB that can cripple with burns and Baton Pass is used to get momentum. The physical defense investment is used to make Vaporeon a mixed wall.

Darmanitan.gif

Darmanitan @ Choice Band Choice Scarf
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- U-Turn
- Rock Slide
- Superpower

Hooray for Bandmanitan! ...Or Darbanditan? Darmaniband? I don't know. Anyway, this thing does damage. A lot of damage. The combination of Choice Band and Sheer Force provides it with one of the most powerful Flare Blitzes in the game, which is why it is the STAB move of choice. U-Turn is used to get the hell outta dodge when needed, and too synergise with the rest of the team. Rock Slide and Superpower give coverage when needed. Jolly nature is used to get out with U-Turn faster when needed.
Set is changed to Choice Scarf, since the removal of Drill Run left me weak against faster Steel types like Cobalion, which will still get OHKO'd by Scarfmanitan.

Heliolisk.gif

Heliolisk @ Life Orb
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Volt Switch
- Grass Knot
- Thunderbolt

Did anyone say we lacked special damage? Here it is. Heliolisk is one of my personal favourite Gen VI Pokemon and one of the best Volt Switch users in the tier. It's ability Dry Skin gives it an immunity to water moves and some sustain in the rain. Hyper Voice is used for Normal type STAB, Volt Switch is used as the main Electric type STAB, Grass Knot is for coverage and Thunderbolt is when I need STAB and not leave. Timid is used for a fast Volt Switch when needed.

Whimsicott.gif

Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Encore
- U-Turn
- Stun Spore
- Moonblast

People who have seen my previous team, know that I have used this Whimsicott before, at least until I got rid of it for Roserade. It is used as a physicall wall who can be quite an annoyance to my opponents. Encore is a staple on Whims, as it forces switches very often. U-Turn is obvious, Stun Spore is used for speed control and Moonblast is used for some STAB. Stun Spore is used over Tailwind for longer duration.

Forretress.gif

Forretress @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Rapid Spin
- Volt Switch
- Spikes Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball Earthquake

I bet ya all have never seen this Pokemon before! Back when I played BW, Forretress was rivaling Ferrothorn in terms of OU spinners. Now, Forretress has dropped to UU and is able to fulfill this role perfectly on this team. A team with Mega Beedrill and Darmanitan can't not have a spinner, which is why Forretress is here. It also provides some more physical bulk (see, I told you I didn't lack it). Rapid Spin is used for earlier named reason, I don't have to explain Volt Switch anymore, Spikes are used for some more entry hazards or for when Swampert has a bad matchup and can't get up the rocks and Gyro Ball is used for STAB damage. 0 Speed IVs are used to buff up this move.
With the removal of Swampert, my team lacked Stealth Rock, which is why it is now on this set. Gyro Ball was gotten rid off in favor of Earthquake is order to better cover SD Lucario

Thanks in advance for rating my team.

Hey man cool team. Here are a few changes:
  • Your team as it looks suffers from Choice Scarf Chandelure, as once it gets a safe switch-in, it will threaten to KO anything you switch in. Therefore, I'd suggest Jolly Beedrill with Knock Off over Drill Run, since Knock Off KOs Chandelure after a bit of prior damage, and is a good utility.
  • With Drill Run on Mega Beedrill gone, you're gonna struggle against the likes of Cobalion, so I'd run a Choice Scarf Darmanitan, because even without Choice Band, Flare Blitz hits hard, and now you can outspeed a lot of Pokemon which is good, since Darmanitan is frail.
  • You can run a Vaporeon over Swampert which is a decent special wall and can provide you momentum with a slow Baton Pass, giving your teammates a heal from Wish more often.
  • Finally, the team looks to be demolished by Swords Dance Lucario, so I'd run Earthquake on Forretress over Gyro Ball. However, this gives you a very big weakness to Mega Aerodactyl, but it's more manageable than Lucario since you have a switch-in with Forretress, and you have Stun Spore to paralyse it, while Darmanitan can threaten to KO it.
Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Wish
- Protect
- Scald
- Baton Pass

Good luck!

Thanks for the great rate! I will definitely run all of these changes. A few questions though.
  • With the removal of Swampert, I lose the ability to set up Stealth Rocks, would it be a good idea to take Stealth Rocks>Spikes on Forretress?
  • Also, if I want to use Vaporeon as a special wall, wouldn't an EV spread of 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD with a Calm nature be better?
Thanks anyway!

With Forry, yes, and with Vaporeon, it has a great special defense even when uninvested. Maxing out Physical Defense is better
