ORAS OU Mega Charizard X team

charizard-mega-x.gif

Charizard (M) @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Claw
- Roost

Charizard is a great late game cleaner and can also serve as a wallbreaker.
Just 1 dragon dance turns charizard into a beast and flare blitz is a powerful move that can destroy physically defensive pokemons and can break walls easily.
Dragon Claw is way better than outrage in my opinion, it's more reliable and it provides a very good STAB damage against anything that is not fairy or steel, while roost provides a recovery for the flare blitz recoil.

serperior.gif

Serperior (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Glare

Serperior is an amazing sweeper with contrary, which basically gives you a free nasty plot every time you use leaf storm.Serperior beats pokemons like hippowdon, slowbro, tyranitar, azumaril, mega diancie and also some dragons with dragon pulse, like garchomp latias and dragonite. It's also able to beat rotom-w which is a huge treath to charizard-x.As I said before, leaf storm is basically mandatory if using contrary, and dragon pulse can hit dragons pretty hard, while hidden power fire is obviously a coverage against steel types, since I only have charizard that can deal with them effectively.Glare, instead is great for paralyzing switch ins such as talonflame and Tornadus-T.

thundurus.gif

Thundurus @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast

I decided to choose thundurus because I needed some speed control for charizard and an answer to flying types for serperior and water types for charizard(just in case serperior is gone). This guy also provides a good answer to Landorus-T which can cause troubles to my char x.I obviously chose thunderwave because I needed it for support and it pairs well with my team.Thunderbolt is a pretty standard STAB move, while hidden power is the main coverage against ground types and focus blast works great against steel types that can be a threat to basically everyone in my team except charizard and maybe landorus.

azumarill.gif

Azumarill (F) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off

I need someone that is bulky enough and can resist dragons (for charizard and latias) and fire types(for serperior)but also has some offensive potential, so I decided to add azumarill to this team.Pretty standard set, Play Rough and Waterfall are azumarill's main stab moves while aqua jet makes it a good revenge killer(considering how slow it is)and knock off can be good against gengar, which shouldn't be able to 1OHKO azu with this set.

skarmory.gif

.
Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Brave Bird
- Whirlwind

Skarmory is essentially my physically defensive pokemon and my stealth rock setter while also being a pretty good lead.It can resist ice and flying types for serperior and can deal with fairies hits.Roost is basically the most important move in the set, as it can recover hp during switches against physical attackers, or it can also use stealth rock in case they have been removed.Brave bird is a reliable way to check pokemons that are weak to flying types that may cause troubles to skarmory like lopunny or mega gallade.Last but not least, whirlwind provides a great support against setup sweepers like DD gyarados, that can cause problems to charizard and latias.

latias.gif

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish

A defogger is crucial with charizard and thundurus in my team, so I needed someone that could be a good offensive support such as latias.Draco Meteor and Psyshock are pretty standard moves, latias main STABs and healing wish is just great just in case my win condition has low hp/is paralyzed or poisoned.

Changes:Landorus-T->Skarmory(thank to espeonguy)

Overall, I'd say this is a really solid team n_n. However, there are a few changes I would like to recommend.

I would change would thundurus to use life orb over leftovers. The power difference is noticable and thundurus can weaken pokemon like heatran easier for charizard x.
I'd also try hidden power ground on serperior, as with the current set, Heatran walls Latias, Charizard X, and Serperior, while also somewhat annoying Thundurus.
+2 252 SpA Life Orb Serperior Hidden Power Ground vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heatran: 328-390 (84.9 - 101%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Lastly, I'd change Azumarill from an assault vest to a choice band set. Assault Vest Azumarill isn't really a good pokemon in the current metagame, as choice band and belly drum severely outclass it. I'd personally recommend choice band as azumarill is the only priority user on your team.

Leave the EVs at 252 HP so It can survive Megs-Manetric's and Raikou's HP[ice]

I noticed that basically my whole team except 2 guys is weak to ice, so I was thinking about replacing azumarill with crawdaunt and latias with sylveon, what do you think about that?

Crawdaunt is frailer than Azumarill, so it wouldn't make logical sense to replace it because of an ice weakness. Latias provides much needed defogging for charizard x and thundurus.

Yes you're right, but I really don't know what to do against a water type pokemon with ice beam.

Try replacing Landorus for a phasing Skarmory set.
Skarmory Leftovers
Sturdy
Impish(252 HP/16 Def/244 DiD)
-Roar
-Stealth Rock
-Roost
-Brave Bird

This takes away one of your 4 ice weaknesses for a neutral instead. The fire weakness is covered by charizard and latias.

Whirlwind>Roar as whirlwind phases everything while whirlwind can be blocked by soundproof.
