Charizard_MegaY_XY.gif

Charizard (M) @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Fire Spin
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast
- Fire Blast

I chose Charizard to be on my team because he is a major power-house. I am trying to base my team around him because he is powerful and has lots of potential. He has a solar beam to counter water types and fire moves for a big hit!

x_y_togekiss_cursor_by_mid0456-d7a0axu.gif

Togekiss (F) @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Calm Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Air Slash
- Dazzling Gleam
- Roost

I chose togekiss for this because of her status inflicting moves such as thunder wave to paralyze, then air slash for flinching with the help of her ability. Dazzling Gleam is for the dragon-types and roost is for health.

aegislash-blade.gif

Aegislash (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Sacred Sword
- Swords Dance
- King's Shield

I chose aegislash because of his powerful defense and offense combination. He is the physical attacker on the team and can give himself buffs to hit harder. He can protect himself, while holding a good boost of attack.

latios.gif

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- Defog
- Earthquake

Latios is there to make the other screen and coverup many things that the others did not cover. He has psychic moves to hit fighting types, and earthquake for others. This one I'm the least sure of, but I think it has good potential.

Porygon-Z_XY.gif

Porygon-Z @ Life Orb
Ability: Download
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Zap Cannon
- Lock-On
- Agility
- Tri Attack

I chose porygon-z because he has a great electric move and tri-attack. Tri-attack will be useful because it can inflict 3 different conditions. Lock-on with zap cannon guarantees a massive lighting hit.

Garchomp_XY.gif

Garchomp (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance

I chose garchomp because of his speed and strength. He will be a good help to charizard because of his physical moves. He also knows stealth rock which is a great help to any competitive battling team.

This is my first time ever building a competitive team, so give me a lot of constructive criticism!
Also first time posting!

Hey there, not sure if you read the rules for posting but you need at least 3 lines of text describing the role each pokemon plays on the team, IE: Why you chose them over a different pokemon.

you need to make a description at least 3 lines it os only to know more about the mechanics of your team good luck ^_^ ;

Ok, I'm going to run down the list as it is, giving my two cents on the pokemon.

Charizard: Run Timid over Modest, Sun Boosted Fire Blast is taking out anything non-resistant with at least 2hko's, and you benefit from the boosted speed. Also, get rid of Fire Spin, and replace with Air Slash (for Hax Abuse with togekiss), or a Hidden Power of Choice.

Blastoise: I don't know why you have 2 special walls, but togekiss is probably the superior one. But if you intend on having two special walls, Consider Chansey, who can supply your team with cleric, wish support, and a few other things like Hazards.

Togekiss: Pretty good, not much to say here. Maybe go with leftovers since I'd think the point is paralysis and Air Slash and Pixie plate doesn't do much there. 248 HP Ev's let you switch into stealth rocks one more time, which is nice.

Aegislash: Looks fine, I don't think there is much here. (or maybe I just never used Aegislash)

Latios: Latios looks interesting, but may I ask why you have two psychic-type moves? I'd run Draco Meteor or something like that over Luster Purge, gets you decent coverage alongside Psyshock in terms of hitting pokemon hard. Light Screen is an interesting choice, but I'd think either Roost or Defog would suit you better, since Latios can force switches giving you a turn to get rid of hazards, and is fast enough to pull it off if you want a late-game charizard bashing. Running Defog means you get hazard removal, which brings me to the last pokemon.

Forretress: This one I'm concerned about. Forretress is a pretty bad choice because it can't really do much outside of barely reliable spinning. I'd replace this one with a different pokemon, probably a revenge-killer or something that benefits from hazard removal. If you are looking for a physical wall, Ferrothorn can fill much of the same roles Forretress can, and his Gyro Ball is hurting things pretty hard with Base-20 speed. Just be aware this opens up another Fire weakness (aegislash).

That's all I've got so far.

Thank you a lot!

I think I will get rid of forretress.

Rampardos is really bad in OU, its got terrible bulk and god-awful speed. Porygon-Z seems like a good choice, but your only physical attacker is currently Aegislash, and you have 3 specially based pokemon, so a physical attacker might be good to look into. Garchomp might be worth looking into since its got good speed and doesnt stack weakneses with many pokemon of your pokemon (except Ice).
