The squad ~
Hello and welcome. Please have a s- Just kidding, you are in front of the Queen and its court.
Hey. This is a team I tested a lot before realising it was absolutely amazing (so far) works wonder, and above all love it. Please before we get into the teambuilding process and details, mind that I am using this team on cartbridge and thus I didnt laddered with it. This is a team im using for fun since I like playing on cartbridge a lot more, but I still want to see what the amazing people that are the official Teambuilders and Team Raters think of it. Enjoy the walk
Modifications to the team after analyses (Thread updated)
Teambuilding process:
The first member of the team, the beloved queen. Mega Diancie being the best offensive Mega of the tier, I first thought that it was easy to fall for her, but now I enjoy this Pokémon a lot. Mega Diancie is a frightening offensive mon with amazing dual STABS as well as useful coverage for its counters. The ability magic bounce somewhat brings anti-hasard to the team, while also protecting her from ANY type of status. Pair this with her decent bulk, amazing speed tier, and you've got a fantastic offensive threat.
Beloved Queen (Diancie) @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 8 Atk / 248 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Moonblast
- Diamond Storm
- Earth Power
- Protect
This is the standard Mega Diancie set with Protect. As mentionned on the Smogon analysis, 8 attack EVs are there to securise the OHKO against Charizard X, wich is extremely handy.
(because I hate Pikachu so much.)
->
Watch out for the paralysis, you're in front of the King, Fleur-De-Lys. From there, I wanted a second Pokémon that could pair well with Mega Diancie, and I chose Serperior. Serperior higly appreciate Diancie taking care of Fire, Dragon and Flying types, and in return can frighten opposing Water and Ground types for Diancie.
Fleur-De-Lys (Serperior) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Glare
Serperior is in general a scary threat that can decimate unprepared teams when its oppurtiny to boost has come, and I chose Glare over Taunt to criple annoyance like Heatran, Ferrothorn and offensive Flying types, and left Giga Drain because I enjoy using Leftovers, wich are useful with Serperior's decent bulk.
(sorry)
->
What goes well with two proud and royal Pokémon? Luxury. I chose Klefki as my specially defensive member, as it can take on Poison, Dragon, Ice, Normal, Grass, Psychic and Dark types thanks to its amazing typing.
Luxury (Klefki) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spikes
- Thunder Wave
- Magnet Rise
- Flash Cannon
Oh yes, it can also troll Ground types. Klefki is generaly an annoyance because of its priority thunder-wave, as well as Spikes. Magnet rise is the obvious trolling move that is very handy, especially against opposite Landorus-T. Flash Cannon is the prefered offensive move since it allows Klefki to deal with Fairy types and above all destroy opposing Mega Diancies that try to wall it out.
->
The inevitable incarnation of the royal couple, the Crown. Starmie has been added to the team thanks to its great defensive typing that allows it to take on Heatran and Keldeo way better than Rotom-Wash could have. She also brings healthy hasard removal to the team, since it is weak to all form of entry hasards.
The Crown (Starmie) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Psyshock
Scald spreads burns and deals with fire types, Psychock nails Keldeo, spinblockers like Gengar. Recover is a great move that allows Starmie to stay healthy through the match and goes very well with Natural Cure, wich allows Starmie to act as the Status absorber of the team, on top of Mega Diancie's Magic Bounce.
->
Below royal couple and their prowess, La Duchesse. Weavile is a frightening cleaner and revange killer that is usually pretty hard to switch into for other balance teams, annoys stall by removing items for days, and puts pressure on offensive teams thanks to its blistering speed. She has also proven to be quite an amazing cleaner, with the help of hasards.
La Duchesse (Weavile) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Pursuit
While Weavile doesnt give any defensive synergy, it is extremely frightening to face for a lot of teams, and serves as the team's revenge killer. Poison Jab was the prefered option to hit fairies, since the team doesnt have a lot of trouble with the Pokémon that Low Kick hits, but the addition of Flash Cannon on Klefki removed the Fairy Types issue. While Klefki puts a fuck ton of pressure on the Lati twins and the Psychic types in general, Pursuit can immediately remove them.
->
Whats as fabulous as a fantastic mount to ride through your glorious reign? Meet Gloria. Hippowdon is the physical wall I chose, to take on very strong physical attackers that Klefki cannot take as well as her. While thishorse hippo is not very fast, it is my way to handle Terrakion, Tyranitar, Medicham, Lopunny and other frightening physical attackers. She is also my nasty rocks setter.
Gloria (Hippowdon) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Stone Edge
Eartquake is Hippodown's obvious STAB that allows her to win some 1-1 matchups if played right with Slack Off. She provides more hasard alongside Klefki, and Stone Edge nails opposing flying types. It is the prefered move over Whirlwind, since it allows her to have great offensive presence with the good EdgeQuake combro.The EV spread allows her to stay against Elektrik types and nail them with either Earthquake or Stone Edge.
And there is the end of this presentation!
List of threats (SO FAR)
Charizard Y is very dangerous to the team. While this threat is rare nowadays, it can reliably destroy half the team if it's Sun is up, and can only be handled at best by Diancie or Rotom-Wash.
Conk is very annoying. Klef and Rotom cannot burn or para, Hippo has trouble winning 1vs1 because of Knock Off removal + Ice Punch + Drain Punch and Conk's great bulk, and is generally hard to switch into, and none of my Pokémon want their item removed. Diancie handles, but cannot OHKO spDef variants, wich is annoying.
Keldeo and especially Specs varients can deal huge amount of damage to the team on switches with good predictions. The addition of Starmie to the team allows it to handle this Pokemon fairly easily.
Entry Hasards:
While Mega Diancie can somewhat bring anti-hasard thanks to Magic Bounce, the team still suffers to all types of entry hasards except for Rotom-Wash, and are a huge dent into Weavile in particular. The addition of Starmie to the team brings reliable hasard removal.
I hope you all liked this presentation. Right now, you must be aware that this team has an amazing theme, but let me tell you for fact that I only discovered this theme after a lot of battles with it, and when I realised I had everything to make a funny royalty-based team with the play of nicknames, my mind was blowned
. Now, I want to see what you great people think, and Ill obviously accept every point of view, advices and others you guys can provide.
Thanks a lot, and I hope you liked this team and the presentation. Cheers!

Modifications to the team after analyses (Thread updated)
- Flash Cannon has been added to Klefki's moveset over Foul Play to prevent opposing Mega Diancies from walling it.
0 SpA Klefki Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Mega Diancie: 300-352 (124.4 - 146%) -- guaranteed OHKO
- Pursuit has been added on Weavile's moveset over Poison Jab to trap and immediately remove opposite Psychic types.
- A mixed defensive EV spread of 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD has been applied on Hippowdon to give her enough special Bulk to stay against and lure some Electrik types, while maintaining enough physical Bulk to take on strong physical threats like Mega Lopunny.
Starmie has been added to the team over Rotom-Wash as "The Crown"! She provides defensive synergy with the team to take especially on Keldeo, who was a threat to the team. She also provides Hasard removal, since hasards are detrimental to the team since it is weak to Spikes, Toxic Spikes and Spikes.
