Moves
========
*Moonblast is strong spammable Fairy-type STAB move that hits hard vs threats like Garchomp, Tyranitar, and Kyurem-Black.
*Earth Power is essential coverage to hit Pokemon such as Heatran, Toxapex, Magearna, Magnezone, and Mega Mawile as they all are good Moonblast switch-ins.
*Diamond Storm is a powerful Rock-type STAB move to hit Pokemon such as Zapdos, Charizard, and Tornadus-Therian, that also has a 50% chance to raise Mega Diancie's Defense two stages. Diamond Storm also does a considerable amount to Celesteela if it is caught on the switch.
*Mega Diancie is a great offensive user of Stealth Rock and will get a lot of opportunities to do so due to the fact that it forces a lot of switches, and that it can threaten common Defoggers like Zapdos and Tornadus-Therian with Diamond Storm.
* Protect can be used to scout choice locked Pokemon such as Landorus-Therian and Ash-Greninja, as well as bounce back potential hazards from Pokemon trying to take advantage of the switch on Mega Diancie such as Ferrothorn, and Ash-Greninja. Protect also ensures a safe Mega Evolution.
*Hidden Power Fire or Hidden Power Ice can be used over Diamond Storm to hit Ferrothorn, and catch Mega Scizor on the switch, as well as Landorus-Therian and Gliscor who are both popular Defoggers in the OU tier.
Set Details
========
*Maximum Speed EVs alongside a Hasty nature allows Mega Diancie to be as fast as possible and to speed tie base 110 Speed Pokemon such as Mega Latios, Mega Gallade, and Gengar, as well as outspeeding notable threats such as Kartana, Keldeo, and Alolan Ninetales.
*Maximum SpA investment allows Mega Diancie to hit its Moonblast and Earth Power as hard as possible. Max SpA Earth Power can 2HKO Toxapex after Stealth Rock, and hits Jirachi and Magearna harder
*Maximum Atk investment can allow Mega Diancie to 2HKO both Mega Venusaur and Celesteela after Stealth Rock and 2HKO SpD Clefable.
*If Mega Diancie elects to drop Diamond Storm a Timid nature is to be used over Hasty Nature
Usage Tips
========
*Mega Diancie should Mega Evolve as early as possible in the match to ensure that it gains Magic Bounce as that can deter opponents to set up hazards, and dish out status moves as they will bounce back.
*Mega Diancie should be used early in the game as a threatening wall breaker as its mixed attacking capabilities can punch holes in the opposing team.
*Mega Diancie can also force out Pokemon such as Latios ,Tornadus-Therian, granting it the ability to get a free turn to set up Stealth Rock
*Mega Diancie can always scout choice locked Pokemon with Protect such ash Kartana, and Landorus-Therian and then react accordingly
* Due to Mega Diancie's poor bulk, ensure to not bring it in hard on any attacks, unless very weak. Try to utilize double switches, or a slow pivot into Mega Diancie, as this allows Mega Diancie to come in safely.
*Moonblast is a spammable STAB move and can be clicked freely and often if there are hazards up, as even if Mega Diancie's checks are present they will get worn down
*Use Mega Diancie to pressure opposing Defoggers such as Tornadus-T and Zapdos as these Pokemon cannot safely Defog on Mega Diancie as it carries Diamond Storm which OHKO both of them.
*With correct prediction Mega Diancie can muscle past some potential checks as Earth Power can 2HKO Toxapex on the switch with Stealth Rock up as well as do a considerable amount to Celesteela with Diamond Storm on the switch.
Team Options
========
*Toxapex is a great teammate as it can setup Toxic Spikes, and is also a great Water resist to check threats such as Greninja and Keldeo. Mega Diancie appreciates opponents being worn down by Toxic Spikes.
*Assault Vest Tangrowth is also a great teammate as it can take hits from both Tapu Koko, Choice Scarf Landorus-Therian, Choice Scarf Kartana, which are common revenge killers, as well as a switch-in to Mega Swampert on rain teams.
*Mega Diancie can utilize Psychic Terrain support from Tapu Lele as this will deny Mega Scizor from being able to use Bullet Punch as this is a very threatening move to Mega Diancie. Tapu Lele can also threaten Toxapex , and Mega Venusaur which are common Mega Diancie checks.
*Heatran is a great teammate for Mega Diancie as it can get rid of common Steel-types such as Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Magearna with Fire-type moves, as well as is a great Grass resist for Pokemon such as Serperior. Heatran can also trap and eliminate Pokemon such as Toxapex and Chansey with Magma Storm and Taunt, which opens up a door for Mega Diancie.
*Recieving Spikes support from Pokemon such as Greninja, or Ferrothorn to wear down checks such as Magearna , Jirachi, can be beneficial in allowing Mega Diancie break past its checks. Ash Greninja can also take advantage of the fact that Mega Diancie's wall-breaking capabilities allows it to have a late-game sweep.
*Magnezone is a solid teammate for Mega Diancie as it can trap and threaten some of its checks such as Celesteela , Ferrothorn, Jirachi, and Magearna.
*Zapdos and Tornadus-Therian themselves are solid teammates for Mega Diancie as they both provide a Ground immunity and can switch into Pokemon such as Kartana, and Tapu Bulu.
*Volcarona is a teammate that can take advantage of Mega Diancie's ability in Magic Bounce as that can stop the opposing team from getting up Stealth Rock, which Volcarona is severely weak to. Volcarona can also threaten the bulky Steel-types that check Mega Diancie.
*Choice Scarf Kartana or Choice Scarf Blacephalon appreciate the result of Mega Diancie's wall-breaking potential as this allows them to achieve a late-game sweep.

Other Options
=============
*Rock Polish can be used to outspeed threats in preparation for a late game sweep
*Calm Mind can be used to boost its SpA for a late-game clean. However it is a rare occurrence in which Mega Diancie can pull off these types of sweeps.
*Nature Power could be utilized in conjunction with the Electric Terrain, Psychic Terrain, and Grassy Terrain to give Diancie the ability to use Thunderbolt, Psychic, or Energy Ball
*Endeavor can also be used to weaken its checks and counters to the point of them being in range of Mega Diancie's attacks. It should be noted that With 5HP IVs Mega Diancie can beat Chansey by using Endeavor into Diamond Storm.
Checks and Counters
===================
*Chansey: Chansey completely counters Mega Diancie, and can easily avoid a 2HKO from Diamond Storm and can easily Softboiled up on Mega Diancie. Chansey can also easily beat Mega Diancie with Seismic Toss due to the differential in their base HP stats. This however is not the case if Diancie is running Endeavor.
*Steel-types:
* Steel Types such as Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and Mega Scizor are solid checks for Mega Diancie as they will only have to be weary of on carrying Hidden Power Fire, and even then Celesteela and Ferrothorn can OHKO Mega Diancie back with Heavy Slam, and Power Whip respectively. Celesteela however can get weakened over time by Diamond Storm on the switch, and will get 2HKOd if Mega Diancie is Attack invested and Stealth Rock is up.
*Mega Scizor can OHKO Mega Diancie with a priority Bullet Punch. Assault Vest Magearna and SpD Jirachi are also solid checks for Mega Diancie, as they will only have to watch out for Earth Power, but can both OHKO it back with Iron Head.
*Grass-types:
*Grass types such as Mega Venusaur completely walls and threatens Mega Diancie with its natural typing and bulk and Giga Drain. The only time Mega Diancie can threaten Mega Venusaur is when its carrying the uncommon Psychic as a form of coverage.
*Assault Vest Tangrowth can easily avoid the 2HKO on all of Mega Diancie's moves and also threaten it with Giga Drain or Leaf Storm. Specially Defensive
*Tapu Bulu is also a solid switch in and always avoids the 2HKO on all of Mega Diancie's moves after Grassy Terrain and Leftovers recovery, and a potential Protect, it can OHKO it back with Horn Leech.
*Water-types:
*Toxapex can switch in on Mega Diancie's Earth Power and recover off the damage , and then eventually retaliate with a Scald. However if Stealth Rock is up it can get 2HKO'd by it
* Gastrodon is a very reliable swiitch in as it takes both Diancie's STAB moves fairly easily and is not worried by any type of coverage.
*Faster Offensive threats:
* Choice Scarf users such as Kartana, Landorus, and Magnezone can revenge kill Mega Diancie.
*Naturally faster offensive threats such as Greninja, Serperior, Tapu Koko, and Mega Lopunny can OHKO Mega Diancie.
*Swift Swim users such as Mega Swampert and Kingdra can also outspeed and OHKO Mega Diancie with their Water-type moves.
*Sand Rush Excadrill can also outspeed Mega Diancie and OHKO it with either of its STAB moves.
