[SET COMMENTS]
Mega Diancie is one of the most vital Pokémon on any Rock team, able to facilitate wins against many of the Pokémon that Rock struggles with. A fantastic 110 speed tier lets Mega Diancie outpace many offensive threats naturally, such as Garchomp, Tapu Lele and Urshifu-R. Mega Diancie’s stellar mixed offenses let it run an effective mixed set, using Diamond Storm to hit key targets like Blissey, Alolan Muk, and Galarian Slowking that may stop its special attacks, as well as potentially providing defense boosts. Earth Power provides crucial coverage against targets most Steel and Poison types, providing reliable damage against Toxapex, Heatran, and Aegislash, as well as OHKOing most Excadrill variants. Mystical Fire further improves Mega Diancie’s matchup against Steel teams by allowing it to hit Celesteela, Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn super effectively. Alternatively, Psychic can be used to improve the Poison matchup by hitting Mega Venusaur and Galarian Weezing extremely hard.
Mega Diancie supports its team through Magic Bounce preventing hazards and status from being inflicted onto Mega Diancie’s teammates, which is crucial given Rock’s struggle with clearing hazards after they’ve already been set, as well as checking most Fighting types, like Kommo-o. Shuckle provides vital hazard support for Mega Diancie through Stealth Rock and Sticky Web, with Sticky Web in particular slowing down faster offensive threats, allowing Mega Diancie to outspeed and KO them. Encore also allows it to bait setup sweepers, which Mega Diancie can then pick off. In turn, Mega Diancie provides Magic Bounce support to keep hazards setters from exploiting Shuckle, as well as warding off Taunt. Terrakion serves as an excellent partner to Mega Diancie, with scarf variants able to outspeed and OHKO faster threats that Mega Diancie otherwise may struggle with, such as Mega Lopunny and Greninja, and most other offensive scarfers. In turn, Mega Diancie breaks threats that Terrakion can’t, like Mega Sableye and Toxapex. Tyranitar provides valuable sand that boosts Mega Diancie’s special defense, as well as being able to chip troublesome walls like Mega Venusaur and Celesteela. Nihilego can also provide valuable coverage against Water types that Mega Diancie may struggle to KO. Alolan Golem can trap and remove Steel types with Magnet Pull, alleviating pressure from Mega Diancie.

Other Options

Rock
--------
More specialized setup sets using either Calm Mind or Rock Polish can provide instant wincons against certain types, but it does narrow Mega Diancie’s potential target list substantially by limiting its coverage. If its teammates can reliably cover some of its lost targets, then these can be a good option. Hidden Power Ice can also be used OHKO most Gliscor and Landorus-T variants after Stealth Rock. Mega Diancie can also run Encore itself to disrupt walls like Leech Seed Celesteela and setup sweepers, though this comes at the cost of less overall coverage.
